begin_v to_o hate_v this_o life_n so_o full_a of_o calamity_n and_o danger_n wherein_o for_o the_o better_a and_o more_o orderly_a proceed_n consider_v these_o three_o point_n follow_v examine_v first_o the_o sundry_a imperfection_n which_o thou_o present_o fin_fw-fr do_v in_o thou_o how_o first_o thou_o lack_v a_o pure_a and_o right_a intent_n in_o most_o of_o thine_o action_n do_v they_o for_o the_o world_n or_o for_o some_o worldly_a interest_n where_o in_o deed_n thou_o ought_v to_o do_v they_o pure_o for_o god_n thou_o may_v find_v likewise_o thine_o inclination_n to_o be_v disorder_v be_v whole_o bend_v to_o the_o vain_a and_o transitory_a thing_n of_o this_o world_n the_o like_a disorder_n shall_v thou_o perceive_v and_o find_v in_o all_o thy_o sense_n thought_n word_n and_o work_n sith_o there_o be_v no_o true_a virtue_n to_o be_v sound_o in_o thou_o which_o by_o the_o examination_n thereof_o thou_o shall_v well_o perceive_v as_o first_o for_o charity_n which_o god_n to_o help_v thou_o with_o his_o grace_n and_o geve_v thou_o these_o good_a motion_n and_o purpose_n to_o amend_v thy_o life_n and_o how_o many_o time_n thou_o haste_v leave_v such_o work_n so_o worthy_o deserve_v to_o be_v honour_v love_a and_o most_o dutiful_o obey_v wednesday_n on_o wednesday_n thy_o meditation_n be_v of_o death_n a_o thing_n great_o death_n profitable_a to_o eschew_v sin_n and_o this_o must_v thou_o meditate_v even_o as_o though_o that_o hour_n be_v now_o arrive_v imagine_v therefore_o it_o be_v so_o and_o how_o thou_o be_v now_o come_v to_o that_o latter_a time_n of_o so_o great_a grief_n and_o fright_v fear_n discourse_n upon_o these_o article_n follow_v first_o how_o in_o that_o hour_n there_o be_v a_o separation_n and_o divorce_n to_o be_v make_v betwixt_o the_o soul_n and_o body_n by_o mean_n whereof_o the_o soul_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o body_n but_o also_o from_o all_o other_o thing_n it_o love_v in_o this_o life_n and_o how_o thou_o must_v needs_o leave_v here_o behind_o thou_o wife_n riches_n kinsfolk_n and_o all_o thy_o other_o dear_a friend_n 〈◊〉_d with_o each_o other_o thing_n be_v it_o never_o so_o well_o any_o time_n thou_o shall_v either_o with_o this_o or_o any_o other_o of_o the_o foresaid_a remedy_n repulse_v thine_o enemy_n and_o resist_v his_o suggestion_n yet_o must_v thou_o not_o think_v thyself_o secure_a as_o though_o the_o battle_n be_v end_v and_o the_o field_n full_o fight_v and_o win_v sith_o this_o be_v the_o property_n of_o fiend_n the_o devil_n when_o he_o be_v overcome_v in_o one_o temptation_n to_o arm_v himself_o forthwith_o and_o to_o make_v preparation_n for_o anoth_a like_a as_o he_o do_v to_o our_o saviour_n a_o in_o the_o wilderness_n who_o when_o he_o can_v better_a how_o to_o govern_v thyself_o both_o in_o time_n of_o sickness_n and_o in_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n neither_o ought_v thou_o with_o worse_a will_n to_o read_v these_o nor_o with_o less_o thy_o spiritual_a physician_n come_v to_o purge_v body_n thy_o soul_n by_o confession_n either_o before_o or_o assoon_o as_o the_o other_o to_o cure_v thy_o body_n by_o potion_n and_o expect_v not_o till_o the_o bodily_a physician_n do_v bid_v thou_o to_o do_v thus_o as_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o do_v if_o soul._n he_o desire_v to_o obey_v that_o the_o sacred_a canon_n do_v command_v he_o where_o this_o most_o true_a sentence_n be_v also_o write_v that_o god_n do_v many_o time_n send_v sickness_n b._n of_o body_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o therefore_o it_o may_v be_v that_o upon_o thou_o and_o see_v thou_o purpose_v full_o in_o all_o thing_n to_o conform_v thyself_o whole_o to_o his_o most_o holy_a wil._n but_o because_o man_n frailty_n be_v great_a and_o feel_v the_o gripe_n of_o grievous_a and_o painful_a sickness_n it_o be_v a_o very_a hard_a matter_n to_o have_v that_o patience_n and_o conformity_n to_o his_o divine_a will_n which_o be_v meet_v and_o requisite_a for_o to_o have_v let_v this_o be_v therefore_o the_o three_o advice_n advice_n to_o make_v thy_o humble_a prayer_n to_o god_n for_o the_o obtain_n of_o such_o patience_n grace_n as_o thou_o want_v and_o he_o know_v eth_z to_o be_v needful_a for_o thou_o procure_v likewise_o that_o other_o pray_v for_o thou_o follow_v therein_o s._n c._n 〈◊〉_d the_o apostle_n counsel_n who_o say_v if_o any_o man_n amongst_o you_o find_v himself_o sick_a let_v he_o cause_v the_o priest_n to_o come_v that_o they_o may_v pray_v for_o he_o and_o well_o may_v thou_o hope_v that_o their_o prayer_n make_v with_o faith_n be_v no_o small_a help_n to_o mitigate_v thy_o pain_n &_o grievous_a sickness_n the_o four_o advice_n be_v that_o as_o in_o vice_n thy_o health_n either_o thou_o do_v or_o at_o least_o wise_n ought_v to_o have_v endeavour_v thyself_o to_o edify_v and_o geve_v good_a example_n to_o those_o thou_o do_v converse_v sickness_n withal_o that_o now_o in_o time_n of_o sickness_n thou_o be_v careful_a to_o do_v the_o same_o obey_v those_o that_o keep_v thou_o take_v willing_o the_o medicine_n and_o whatsoever_o for_o thy_o health_n be_v geucn_v thou_o be_v it_o never_o so_o loathsome_a and_o painful_a to_o thou_o in_o like_a manner_n to_o show_v none_o anger_n or_o impatience_n in_o thy_o speech_n especial_o to_o such_o as_o attend_v upon_o thou_o and_o to_o geve_v gracious_a answer_n to_o those_o that_o visit_v thou_o not_o complain_v too_o much_o of_o the_o pain_n thou_o feel_v but_o recommend_v commendable_a thyself_o in_o humble_a and_o lowly_a wise_a to_o their_o good_a devotion_n and_o so_o in_o all_o other_o thing_n be_v thou_o with_o such_o good_a discretion_n and_o mildness_n to_o govern_v thyself_o as_o all_o those_o that_o see_v thou_o or_o
