explication_n of_o it_o for_o the_o law_n be_v spiritual_a but_o you_o have_v cause_n to_o bless_v god_n say_v lord_n what_o be_v we_o that_o thy_o will_n shall_v be_v so_o clear_o and_o pure_o manifest_v to_o we_o above_o what_o it_o be_v to_o heathen_n yea_o and_o papist_n with_o many_o other_o therefore_o belove_v it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o you_o to_o be_v no_o antinomian_n but_o you_o be_v to_o bless_v god_n and_o praise_v he_o for_o it_o that_o it_o be_v read_v and_o open_v in_o our_o congregation_n 8._o the_o perfection_n of_o this_o law_n contain_v a_o perfect_a rule_n of_o all_o thing_n rule_n the_o law_n of_o moses_n be_v a_o perfect_a rule_n belong_v to_o god_n or_o man_n and_o here_o again_o i_o shall_v not_o speak_v of_o it_o as_o a_o covenant_n but_o mere_o as_o its_o a_o rule_n of_o obedience_n and_o thus_o though_o it_o be_v short_a yet_o it_o be_v so_o perfect_a that_o it_o contain_v all_o that_o be_v to_o be_v do_v or_o omit_v by_o we_o insomuch_o that_o all_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n do_v but_o add_v the_o explication_n of_o the_o law_n if_o it_o be_v not_o take_v in_o too_o strict_a a_o sense_n hence_o be_v that_o commandment_n of_o not_o add_v to_o it_o or_o detract_n from_o it_o and_o in_o what_o sense_n the_o apostle_n speak_v against_o it_o calling_z it_o the_o kill_a letter_n and_o the_o ministration_n of_o death_n work_v wrath_n be_v to_o be_v show_v hereafter_o when_o our_o saviour_n matth._n 5._o give_v those_o several_a precept_n he_o do_v not_o add_v they_o as_o new_a unto_o the_o moral_a law_n but_o do_v vindicate_v that_o from_o the_o corrupt_a gloss_n and_o interpretation_n of_o the_o pharisee_n be_v be_v to_o be_v prove_v indeed_o it_o may_v seem_v hard_a to_o say_v that_o christ_n and_o justify_v faith_n &_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o trinity_n be_v include_v in_o this_o promulgation_n of_o the_o law_n but_o it_o be_v to_o be_v prove_v that_o all_o these_o be_v then_o comprehend_v in_o the_o administration_n of_o it_o though_o more_o obscure_o nor_o will_v this_o be_v to_o confound_v the_o law_n and_o the_o gospel_n as_o some_o may_v think_v this_o law_n therefore_o and_o rule_v of_o life_n which_o god_n give_v the_o people_n of_o israel_n and_o to_o all_o we_o christian_n in_o they_o be_v so_o perfect_a and_o full_a that_o there_o be_v nothing_o necessary_a to_o the_o duty_n and_o worship_n of_o god_n which_o be_v not_o here_o command_v nor_o no_o sin_n to_o be_v avoid_v which_o be_v not_o here_o forbid_v and_o this_o make_v peter_n martyr_n as_o you_o hear_v compare_v it_o to_o the_o ten_o predicament_n use_v of_o admonition_n to_o take_v heed_n how_o we_o vilify_v or_o contemn_v this_o law_n of_o god_n either_o doctrinal_o or_o practical_o doctrinal_o so_o the_o marcionite_n and_o the_o manichee_n and_o basilides_n whereof_o some_o have_v say_v it_o be_v carnal_a yea_o that_o it_o be_v from_o a_o devil_n and_o that_o it_o be_v give_v to_o the_o jew_n for_o their_o destruction_n because_o it_o be_v say_v to_o work_v wrath_n and_o to_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o death_n and_o those_o opinion_n and_o expression_n of_o the_o antinomian_o about_o it_o be_v very_o dangerous_a what_o shall_v we_o revile_v that_o which_o be_v god_n great_a mercy_n to_o a_o people_n because_o the_o jew_n and_o papist_n do_v abuse_v the_o law_n and_o the_o work_n of_o it_o to_o justification_n shall_v it_o not_o therefore_o have_v its_o proper_a place_n and_o dignity_n how_o sacred_a be_v the_o law_n of_o a_o commonwealth_n which_o yet_o be_v make_v by_o man_n but_o this_o be_v by_o the_o wise_a god_n take_v heed_n therefore_o of_o such_o phrase_n a_o old-testament-spirit_n and_o his_o sermon_n be_v nothing_o but_o a_o explication_n of_o the_o law_n for_o it_o ought_v much_o to_o rejoice_v thou_o to_o hear_v that_o pure_a and_o excellent_a image_n of_o god_n holiness_n open_v how_o may_v thou_o delight_v to_o have_v that_o purity_n enjoin_v which_o will_v make_v thou_o loathe_v thyself_o prize_n christ_n and_o grace_n more_o and_o be_v a_o quick_a goad_n to_o all_o holiness_n and_o if_o you_o say_v here_o be_v nothing_o
