the_o earth_n and_o else_o where_o it_o have_v rain_v blood_n from_o heaven_n i_o let_v pass_v the_o monstrous_a shape_n and_o birth_n which_o if_o i_o shall_v stand_v to_o recount_v the_o day_n will_v scarce_o be_v sufficient_a and_o that_o these_o be_v no_o vain_a scarecrow_n the_o thing_n itself_o testify_v when_o as_o the_o wretched_a world_n be_v vex_v and_o disquiet_v with_o war_n famine_n pestilence_n &_o other_o plague_n innumerable_a time_n the_o cause_n of_o the_o calamity_n of_o the_o latter_a time_n but_o some_o man_n may_v ask_v what_o the_o cause_n be_v of_o these_o calamity_n and_o why_o god_n seem_v now_o to_o be_v more_o offend_v with_o all_o mankind_n than_o he_o be_v in_o time_n past_a before_o christ_n be_v give_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o flesh_n this_o question_n be_v not_o superfluous_a consider_v that_o in_o time_n past_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o christian_a faith_n take_v hereby_o occasion_n to_o slander_v it_o in_o that_o after_o the_o rise_n but_o proceed_v from_o the_o people_n for_o among_o these_o the_o great_a part_n be_v of_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a who_o either_o as_o hog_n of_o epicure_n hear_v give_v themselves_o to_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o despise_v all_o religion_n or_o else_o be_v superstitious_a and_o idolater_n do_v daily_o devise_v and_o heap_v up_o unlawful_a worshippinge_n and_o both_o these_o sort_n hate_v and_o persecute_v the_o light_n of_o the_o truth_n so_o as_o notwithstanding_o that_o they_o follow_v diverse_a practice_n of_o life_n yet_o in_o this_o one_o thing_n they_o egregious_o agree_v and_o by_o their_o wickedness_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o there_o seem_v no_o enormity_n worthy_a of_o great_a punishment_n then_o if_o any_o make_v a_o fyncere_a and_o free_a confession_n of_o the_o truth_n be_v it_o therefore_o to_o be_v think_v any_o marvel_n or_o a_o thing_n un_fw-fr worthy_a if_o god_n punish_v the_o desperate_a boldness_n of_o these_o man_n with_o all_o kind_n of_o plague_n which_o wilful_o refuse_v the_o salvation_n offer_v this_o doubtless_o be_v the_o cause_n for_o the_o which_o christ_n himself_o foretell_v that_o the_o nation_n of_o the_o jew_n shall_v be_v root_v out_o 19_o mat._n 21.23_o luke_n 19_o &_o for_o which_o also_o the_o roman_a empire_n be_v manifold_o afflict_v as_o orosius_n in_o diverse_a place_n witness_v but_o for_o so_o much_o as_o a_o number_n in_o these_o day_n follow_v and_o imitate_v the_o wickedness_n of_o the_o jew_n and_o emperor_n it_o be_v nieete_a and_o requisite_a that_o they_o shall_v suffer_v and_o they_o which_o deserve_v the_o sharp_a kind_n of_o discipline_n and_o chastisement_n for_o some_o blind_v with_o the_o love_n of_o this_o world_n covet_v after_o honour_n and_o riches_n othersome_a have_v too_o good_a a_o opinion_n of_o themselves_o be_v make_v secure_a and_o careless_a other_o there_o be_v that_o become_v slave_n to_o their_o affection_n and_o follow_v without_o measure_n their_o own_o lust_n and_o pleasure_n as_o therefore_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o these_o shall_v be_v brydeled_a and_o provoke_v to_o a_o more_o fervent_a desire_n of_o godliness_n so_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n require_v that_o in_o punish_v the_o sin_n of_o the_o wicked_a world_n 4._o 1._o pet._n 4._o he_o shall_v begin_v first_o with_o his_o own_o house_n lest_o he_o may_v seem_v to_o allow_v those_o thing_n in_o his_o own_o which_o he_o so_o severe_o punish_v in_o other_o no_o man_n therefore_o have_v any_o cause_n to_o complain_v of_o god._n for_o in_o as_o much_o as_o the_o
