they_o do_v that_o in_o their_o own_o name_n which_o they_o do_v in_o the_o name_n and_o authority_n of_o christ_n jesus_n and_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o his_o speak_v those_o word_n but_o it_o be_v object_v that_o he_o do_v affirm_v christ_n send_v he_o not_o to_o baptise_v but_o to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n answ_n paul_n do_v not_o intend_v by_o his_o so_o speak_v that_o he_o have_v no_o authority_n from_o christ_n to_o baptize_v but_o rather_o to_o show_v that_o his_o chief_a work_n be_v to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n he_o give_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o to_o baptize_v be_v not_o the_o alone_a and_o chief_a business_n he_o be_v send_v to_o do_v but_o his_o great_a work_n be_v to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n this_o word_n not_o be_v not_o always_o use_v as_o a_o absolute_a negative_a for_o then_o christ_n utter_o forbid_v all_o outward_a labour_n joh._n 6._o 27._o where_o he_o command_v they_o not_o to_o labour_v for_o the_o meat_n which_o perish_v etc._n etc._n and_o that_o you_o will_v have_v for_o observe_v with_o care_n what_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o same_o verse_n do_v assert_v he_o speak_v the_o very_a same_o of_o man_n that_o he_o speak_v of_o christ_n wherefore_o henceforth_o we_o know_v no_o man_n after_o the_o flesh_n yea_o though_o we_o have_v know_v christ_n after_o the_o flesh_n yet_o now_o we_o henceforth_o know_v he_o so_o no_o more_o do_v you_o suppose_v the_o apostle_n know_v no_o man_n to_o consist_v of_o flesh_n and_o bone_n for_o as_o he_o and_o other_o saint_n do_v not_o know_v christ_n after_o the_o flesh_n so_o they_o know_v no_o man_n after_o the_o flesh_n therefore_o it_o be_v evident_a you_o wrest_v the_o word_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o because_o i_o perceive_v you_o and_o other_o also_o be_v find_v abuse_v this_o text_n and_o miss_v the_o true_a sense_n and_o main_a drift_n and_o intention_n of_o the_o apostle_n therein_o i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o help_v your_o understanding_n in_o open_v and_o explain_v this_o place_n of_o holy_a scripture_n which_o so_o many_o stumble_v at_o and_o in_o the_o first_o place_n it_o may_v not_o be_v amiss_o if_o you_o observe_v what_o the_o apostle_n in_o rom._n 3._o 1_o 2._o and_o in_o other_o place_n do_v declare_v of_o the_o great_a advantage_n israel_n after_o the_o flesh_n have_v over_o the_o gentile_n and_o yet_o also_o show_v we_o that_o they_o of_o themselves_o be_v no_o better_a than_o other_o but_o that_o both_o jew_n and_o gentile_n be_v all_o under_o sin_n and_o here_o in_o this_o 2_o cor._n 5._o he_o show_v we_o that_o all_o be_v dead_a and_o those_o christ_n die_v for_o that_o they_o which_o henceforth_o live_v may_v not_o live_v unto_o themselves_o but_o unto_o he_o that_o die_v for_o they_o and_z rise_v again_o understand_v that_o the_o child_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v not_o count_v for_o the_o seed_n gal._n 3._o 29._o henceforth_o that_o be_v since_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n as_o in_o the_o verse_n go_v to_o the_o same_o degree_n of_o holiness_n and_o perfection_n which_o be_v in_o our_o bless_a mediator_n and_o so_o by_o that_o inherent_a holiness_n alone_o wrought_v in_o thou_o place_v thy_o hope_n and_o confidence_n fix_v thy_o faith_n on_o a_o mysterious_a sacrifice_n and_o offer_v within_o and_o not_o have_v a_o dependency_n on_o that_o glorious_a sacrifice_n of_o christ_n crucify_a body_n without_o which_o be_v once_o offer_v to_o take_v away_o sin_n heb._n 9_o 26._o by_o which_o one_o offer_v he_o have_v perfect_v for_o ever_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v heb._n 10._o 14._o the_o atonement_n be_v already_o make_v redemption_n reconciliation_n and_o justification_n have_v be_v full_o complete_v and_o finish_v in_o and_o by_o our_o lord_n jesus_n for_o we_o once_o for_o all_o
