grow_v in_o it_o and_o sometime_o to_o be_v at_o a_o stand_n as_o it_o be_v and_o this_o be_v that_o that_o the_o apostle_n say_v the_o just_a proceed_v from_o faith_n to_o faith_n and_o again_o the_o spirit_n of_o and_o withstand_v satan_n say_v who_o resist_v strong_a in_o faith_n as_o also_o this_o that_o the_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n say_v of_o abraham_n the_o father_n of_o the_o faithful_a and_o friend_n of_o god_n that_o he_o not_o weak_a in_o faith_n etc._n etc._n roman_n the_o four_o yea_o one_o and_o the_o self_n same_o godly_a man_n as_o in_o respect_n of_o sundry_a time_n and_o diverse_a occasion_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v strong_a in_o this_o holy_a virtue_n and_o weak_a also_o what_o a_o faith_n be_v this_o in_o peter_n by_o christ_n comfortable_a word_n not_o only_o to_o expel_v fear_n but_o in_o the_o strength_n and_o power_n of_o christ_n speech_n unto_o he_o and_o say_n come_v to_o walk_v upon_o the_o water_n and_o yet_o what_o weakness_n be_v this_o in_o assure_v and_o persuade_v rather_o that_o the_o whole_a gospel_n be_v true_a and_o particular_o this_o part_n of_o it_o that_o christ_n indeed_o be_v the_o saviour_n of_o all_o they_o that_o believe_v yet_o many_o time_n we_o find_v those_o grace_n so_o eclipse_v and_o darken_v in_o we_o that_o they_o seem_v to_o be_v as_o if_o they_o be_v not_o but_o what_o mean_v we_o to_o travail_v in_o the_o come_v from_o our_o weakness_n as_o before_o have_v be_v say_v &_o fight_v against_o faith_n though_o it_o be_v true_a in_o that_o combat_n and_o conflict_n faith_n do_v overcome_v and_o get_v the_o victory_n at_o the_o last_o as_o we_o may_v perceive_v mark_n 9_o where_o it_o be_v say_v by_o the_o father_n of_o the_o possess_a child_n i_o believe_v lord_n help_v my_o unbelief_n for_o in_o this_o question_n we_o speak_v not_o of_o such_o a_o imagination_n or_o conceit_n of_o faith_n as_o during_o the_o infirmity_n or_o weakness_n of_o our_o flesh_n have_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o remainder_n of_o man_n corruption_n no_o doubt_v at_o all_o adjoin_v with_o it_o in_o the_o person_n that_o have_v receive_v that_o precious_a gift_n of_o faith_n but_o we_o mean_v it_o of_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o stestdfast_o though_o weak_o lay_v hold_v assure_o of_o the_o object_n of_o it_o for_o we_o know_v and_o confess_v that_o faith_n as_o it_o be_v god_n work_n be_v exquisite_a and_o absolute_a and_o yet_o as_o it_o be_v in_o we_o to_o be_v imperfect_a and_o to_o have_v as_o we_o may_v say_v his_o degree_n and_o increasing_n and_o yet_o we_o feel_v and_o perceive_v that_o this_o faith_n though_o never_o so_o imperfect_a then_o when_o it_o lay_v hold_v of_o the_o true_a and_o only_a object_n of_o it_o namely_o christ_n our_o mediator_n and_o his_o merit_n be_v true_a and_o sound_a and_o from_o the_o object_n which_o our_o faith_n though_o it_o be_v weak_a lay_v hold_v of_o we_o have_v much_o firm_a and_o assure_a comfort_n and_o if_o this_o be_v not_o true_a we_o can_v not_o comfort_v ourselves_o neither_o in_o our_o knowledge_n patience_n prayer_n or_o any_o othergood_n work_v beside_o because_o we_o know_v in_o part_n we_o prophesy_v in_o part_n etc._n etc._n second_o some_o except_a further_o &_o say_v that_o paul_n and_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o place_n above_o mention_v speak_v of_o that_o certainty_n of_o their_o own_o salvation_n which_o they_o have_v by_o special_a revelation_n and_o not_o that_o they_o affirm_v that_o all_o the_o faithful_a have_v the_o like_a assurance_n but_o the_o answer_n be_v easy_a the_o apostle_n do_v or_o do_v not_o speak_v only_o of_o themselves_o but_o of_o all_o the_o faithful_a and_o not_o of_o their_o own_o faith_n and_o salvation_n only_o but_o of_o
