know_v that_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n as_o it_o be_v essential_a to_o a_o servant_n 1._o to_o depend_v upon_o his_o master_n will_v and_o pleasure_n for_o direction_n in_o his_o work_n 2._o to_o refer_v all_o that_o he_o have_v to_o the_o use_n and_o profit_n of_o his_o master_n not_o to_o his_o own_o so_o also_o every_o faithful_a servant_n of_o god_n 1_o depend_v whole_o upon_o god_n for_o the_o direction_n of_o his_o life_n not_o upon_o himself_o and_o his_o own_o counsel_n nor_o upon_o the_o example_n and_o custom_n of_o the_o world_n much_o less_o upon_o the_o suggestion_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o devil_n 2._o he_o refer_v himself_o and_o all_o that_o he_o have_v to_o advance_v and_o set_v forth_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n doct._n 4._o those_o servant_n of_o christ_n which_o the_o faithful_a be_v christ_n servant_n but_o they_o be_v not_o apostle_n even_o the_o ordinary_a minister_n themselves_o although_o in_o a_o large_a sense_n they_o may_v be_v call_v apostle_n and_o a_o embassage_n but_o a_o singular_a privilege_n or_o prerogative_n in_o that_o embassage_n now_o the_o privilege_n of_o the_o apostle_n above_o other_o minister_n consist_v in_o these_o four_o thing_n first_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o embassage_n viz._n that_o they_o be_v call_v neither_o of_o man_n nor_o by_o man_n but_o immediate_o of_o christ._n second_o in_o the_o office_n impose_v reject_v or_o despise_v those_o that_o labour_v most_o to_o procure_v this_o grace_n and_o peace_n for_o we_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o fear_v that_o we_o be_v yet_o far_o from_o the_o nature_n and_o be_v call_v continence_n because_o this_o be_v general_a temperance_n if_o a_o man_n contain_v himself_o or_o abstaine_v from_o those_o enticement_n whereby_o he_o may_v be_v withdraw_v from_o his_o duty_n fortitude_n be_v mean_v here_o by_o patience_n because_o this_o be_v true_a christian_a fortitude_n patient_o to_o suffer_v all_o affliction_n and_o to_o persist_v in_o his_o duty_n notwithstanding_o all_o affliction_n these_o be_v such_o condition_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v in_o every_o duty_n which_o if_o they_o be_v they_o make_v every_o duty_n complete_a nor_o can_v any_o the_o choose_a instrument_n of_o the_o devil_n to_o turn_v aside_o other_o from_o godliness_n and_o to_o make_v the_o faithful_a servant_n of_o god_n ashamed_a of_o it_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o the_o proper_a effect_n of_o scoff_v be_v shame_n use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o admonish_v we_o to_o shun_v such_o scoffer_n as_o the_o monster_n and_o pâ—sts_n of_o mankind_n doct._n 4._o they_o that_o maintain_v wicked_a opinion_n in_o their_o mind_n be_v give_v to_o impurity_n in_o their_o life_n this_o be_v gather_v therehence_a that_o the_o same_o man_n be_v call_v scoffer_n and_o such_o as_o walk_v after_o their_o own_o lust_n reason_n 1._o because_o the_o proper_a cause_n why_o such_o man_n do_v labour_n so_o much_o to_o cast_v off_o all_o sense_n of_o religion_n be_v no_o other_o then_o that_o they_o may_v with_o all_o licentiousness_n give_v themselves_o whole_o over_o to_o their_o most_o filthy_a lust_n 2._o because_o such_o wicked_a opinion_n or_o imagination_n do_v may_v serve_v to_o inform_v we_o not_o to_o think_v that_o wicked_a and_o profane_a and_o atheistical_a man_n do_v speak_v from_o any_o reason_n or_o judgement_n when_o they_o scoff_v at_o religion_n for_o they_o be_v beast_n in_o their_o life_n and_o therefore_o they_o have_v also_o beastly_a imagination_n which_o they_o be_v wont_n to_o bring_v forth_o under_o a_o show_n of_o reason_n 2._o to_o admonish_v we_o in_o shun_v profane_a and_o blasphemous_a opinion_n and_o imagination_n to_o beware_v especial_o of_o a_o wicked_a life_n because_o it_o make_v way_n for_o all_o wicked_a opinion_n doct._n v._o that_o be_v proper_a to_o wicked_a and_o profane_a man_n in_o some_o sort_n to_o deny_v the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o judgement_n this_o be_v gather_v from_o verse_n 4_o at_o the_o beginning_n reason_n because_o the_o expectation_n of_o judgement_n be_v a_o strong_a bridle_n to_o restrain_v and_o keep_v in_o the_o wickedness_n of_o man_n which_o ungodly_a and_o profane_a man_n do_v most_o of_o all_o desire_n to_o shake_v off_o use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o admonish_v we_o by_o all_o mean_n to_o take_v heed_n that_o we_o be_v not_o any_o way_n partaker_n of_o that_o fetch_v the_o judgement_n of_o spiritual_a thing_n from_o sense_n 2._o to_o admonish_v we_o not_o to_o attribute_v any_o thing_n to_o our_o sense_n in_o matter_n of_o faith_n for_o it_o be_v all_o one_o as_o if_o we_o shall_v seek_v the_o judgement_n of_o reason_n among_o bruit_n beast_n verse_n 5._o for_o this_o they_o willing_o be_v ignorant_a of_o that_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o
