because_o it_o be_v express_o against_o law_n for_o though_o the_o dissenter_n may_v have_v be_v connive_v at_o in_o their_o different_a way_n of_o worship_n which_o will_v have_v satisfy_v they_o and_o have_v be_v serviceable_a to_o the_o government_n in_o make_v they_o easy_a and_o so_o keep_v they_o quiet_a yet_o to_o make_v they_o capable_a of_o hold_v office_n in_o corporation_n and_o set_v they_o upon_o a_o equal_a foot_n with_o the_o church_n of_o england_n or_o rather_o above_o it_o be_v too_o bold_a a_o stroke_n at_o once_o and_o make_v the_o people_n too_o much_o incline_v to_o think_v it_o be_v design_v to_o serve_v another_o interest_n rather_o than_o that_o of_o protestant_n dissenter_n and_o though_o in_o this_o i_o be_o very_o persuade_v of_o the_o king_n bishop_n of_o every_o see_v to_o be_v by_o they_o order_v to_o be_v read_v by_o their_o respective_a minister_n in_o each_o diocese_n why_o shall_v the_o bishop_n be_v deny_v liberty_n of_o conscience_n when_o it_o be_v grant_v to_o dissenter_n and_o why_o can_v not_o the_o dissenter_n enjoy_v the_o liberty_n of_o their_o conscience_n without_o the_o bishop_n be_v enjoin_v to_o read_v remember_v when_o i_o consider_v what_o effect_n it_o have_v upon_o the_o people_n without_o great_a compassion_n to_o his_o majesty_n who_o by_o the_o violent_a passion_n of_o some_o hot_a and_o fiery_a spirit_n be_v precipate_v into_o such_o fatal_a counsel_n where_o all_o the_o profit_n will_v redound_v to_o other_o but_o all_o the_o odium_n rest_n upon_o the_o king_n as_o to_o the_o fellow_n i_o must_v own_o they_o do_v but_o their_o duty_n and_o they_o can_v not_o choose_v otherways_o then_o according_a to_o the_o statute_n of_o the_o college_n and_o indeed_o to_o compel_v the_o evident_a token_n of_o divine_a displeasure_n along_o with_o they_o and_o be_v afterward_o make_v the_o chief_a motive_n for_o introduce_v the_o late_a revolution_n which_o though_o it_o be_v but_o have_v cover_v we_o with_o anger_n and_o persecute_v we_o yea_o thou_o have_v cover_v thyself_o with_o a_o cloud_n that_o our_o prayer_n shall_v not_o pass_v through_o the_o lord_n have_v accomplish_v his_o fury_n he_o have_v pour_v upon_o we_o his_o fierce_a anger_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o her_o prophet_n and_o the_o iniquity_n of_o her_o priest_n what_o then_o remain_v but_o that_o please_v the_o soul_n expostulation_n and_o now_o o_o my_o soul_n consider_v with_o thyself_o if_o sin_n be_v the_o procure_a cause_n of_o all_o thy_o trouble_n have_v thou_o not_o great_a reason_n indeed_o all_o pleasure_n if_o they_o die_v not_o like_a child_n in_o their_o very_a birth_n yet_o they_o be_v liable_a to_o so_o many_o accident_n that_o they_o quick_o wither_v and_o decay_v and_o all_o their_o gust_n be_v go_v the_o pain_n in_o one_o tooth_n the_o cramp_n in_o one_o joint_n the_o gout_n in_o one_o toe_n the_o megrim_n in_o the_o head_n the_o colic_n in_o the_o gut_n the_o fever_n in_o the_o blood_n the_o sciatica_n in_o the_o thigh_n the_o fistula_n or_o hemorrhoid_n in_o the_o nether_a part_n or_o any_o one_o of_o these_o take_v away_o the_o relish_n of_o our_o pleasure_n and_o imbitter_v all_o the_o voluptuous_a person_n enjoyment_n turn_v his_o sing_v into_o sigh_v his_o music_n into_o mourn_v and_o his_o riot_n into_o rage_n and_o who_o will_v mourn_v the_o loss_n of_o thing_n so_o subject_a to_o a_o thousand_o accident_n which_o have_v so_o little_a real_a good_a in_o the_o enjoyment_n the_o soul_n expostulation_n and_o now_o o_o my_o soul_n consider_v with_o thyself_o how_o vain_a and_o how_o pernicious_a the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n be_v for_o though_o mankind_n do_v general_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o the_o pursuit_n thereof_o yet_o how_o full_a of_o pain_n do_v they_o find_v these_o pleasure_n consider_v o_o my_o soul_n that_o sensual_a pleasure_n be_v the_o pleasure_n of_o beast_n which_o relish_v they_o with_o more_o delight_n than_o man_n and_o use_v they_o according_a to_o the_o dictate_v of_o nature_n and_o for_o the_o satisfy_v of_o their_o want_n and_o that_o with_o more_o moderation_n for_o they_o be_v worthy_a of_o thou_o even_o such_o as_o be_v adequate_a to_o thy_o want_n and_o capable_a of_o satisfy_v the_o desire_n of_o a_o immortal_a soul_n and_o though_o thy_o outward_a circumstance_n and_o late_a loss_n have_v render_v thou_o uncapable_a of_o pursue_v the_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n thou_o be_v thereby_o the_o more_o fit_v to_o aspire_v to_o those_o pleasure_n that_o the_o world_n can_v take_v from_o thou_o and_o which_o alone_o be_v worth_a the_o enjoy_v if_o thou_o hearkene_a to_o the_o enchant_v siren_n of_o worldly_a pleasure_n they_o do_v but_o entice_v thou_o with_o their_o pleasant_a song_n as_o they_o will_v have_v dove_n ulysses_n till_o they_o bring_v thou_o to_o cast_v thyself_o into_o the_o sea_n of_o destruction_n and_o overwhelmed_a thou_o with_o eternal_a ruin_n but_o if_o o_o my_o soul_n thou_o wait_v at_o the_o gate_n of_o wisdom_n and_o hearkene_a to_o her_o voice_n thou_o soon_o shall_v find_v not_o only_o that_o her_o way_n be_v way_n soul_n in_o god_n and_o under-go_a they_o both_o with_o courage_n and_o constancey_n and_o as_o far_o as_o thou_o be_v innocent_a with_o rejoice_v 25._o under_o all_o affliction_n be_v silent_a let_v the_o cause_n be_v what_o they_o will_v for_o it_o argue_v impatience_n to_o complain_v beware_v therefore_o that_o thou_o accuse_v neither_o heaven_n nor_o man_n for_o none_o be_v more_o injurious_a to_o thou_o than_o thou_o to_o thyself_o if_o thou_o be_v impatient_a righteous_a be_v the_o lord_n and_o true_a be_v his_o judgement_n 26._o be_v sure_o take_v heed_n least_o under_o thy_o affliction_n thou_o forget_v thy_o creator_n and_o seek_v deliverance_n by_o indirect_a mean_n for_o many_o have_v stumble_v upon_o this_o rock_n and_o be_v break_v to_o piece_n by_o it_o for_o such_o man_n will_v prescribe_v to_o god_n and_o have_v he_o direct_v by_o their_o foolish_a fancy_n but_o who_o have_v direct_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n or_o be_v his_o counsellor_n have_v teach_v he_o it_o be_v a_o vain_a thing_n to_o attempt_v it_o therefore_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o tarry_v till_o god_n see_v good_a to_o deliver_v be_v the_o way_n to_o hasten_v our_o deliverance_n but_o to_o go_v about_o to_o deliver_v ourselves_o and_o throw_v off_o the_o burden_n that_o god_n have_v lay_v upon_o we_o be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o bind_v it_o on_o the_o fast_a and_o to_o keep_v back_o that_o deliverance_n which_o for_o aught_o we_o know_v may_v be_v at_o the_o door_n and_o therefore_o 27._o if_o the_o time_n compel_v thou_o to_o suffer_v for_o righteousness_n sake_n be_v not_o afraid_a the_o three_o child_n lose_v nothing_o by_o be_v in_o the_o fiery_a furnace_n so_o long_o as_o there_o be_v a_o four_o there_o with_o they_o which_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n 28._o in_o time_n of_o affliction_n especial_o throw_v away_o all_o vain_a desire_n of_o riches_n despise_v the_o world_n and_o all_o the_o allurement_n of_o it_o whether_o they_o be_v honour_n pleasure_n friend_n and_o acquaintance_n or_o whatever_o else_o that_o which_o keep_v down_o thy_o affection_n from_o mount_v to_o heaven_n and_o soar_v above_o be_v a_o dead_a weight_n which_o thou_o have_v better_o be_v without_o 29._o whatever_o thou_o lose_v take_v care_n to_o keep_v thy_o innocence_n if_o thou_o lose_v all_o the_o world_n and_o keep_v thy_o innocence_n thou_o may_v yet_o be_v a_o gainer_n but_o if_o thou_o lose_v thy_o innocence_n than_o indeed_o thou_o lose_v all_o and_o thy_o loss_n become_v true_o unvaluable_a 30._o if_o thou_o will_v preserve_v thy_o innocence_n make_v god_n word_n thy_o rule_n and_o humble_o implore_v the_o gracious_a conduct_n and_o guidance_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n for_o he_o it_o be_v that_o lead_v in_o the_o way_n of_o righteousness_n and_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o path_n of_o judgement_n and_o he_o have_v assure_v we_o in_o his_o word_n that_o if_o in_o all_o our_o way_n we_o acknowledge_v he_o he_o will_v direct_v our_o path_n
