with_o beast_n second_o there_o be_v carnal_a affection_n which_o be_v lust_n that_o arise_v from_o the_o corruption_n of_o nature_n and_o those_o tend_v to_o evil_a object_n or_o good_a object_n in_o a_o evil_a manner_n those_o affection_n make_v we_o worse_o than_o the_o beast_n like_v unto_o the_o devil_n joh._n 8._o 44._o you_o be_v of_o your_o father_n the_o devil_n and_o his_o lust_n you_o that_o be_v from_o the_o renew_n part_n of_o man_n and_o tend_v to_o good_a object_n in_o a_o holy_a manner_n natural_a make_v we_o no_o better_o than_o beast_n carnal_a than_o devil_n spiritual_a make_v we_o better_o than_o man_n like_v to_o god_n have_v his_o image_n new_o stamp_v on_o we_o they_o lift_v we_o up_o above_o man_n and_o make_v we_o like_a to_o angel_n thus_o you_o see_v the_o 3._o kind_n of_o affection_n in_o man_n we_o must_v only_o answer_v one_o question_n before_o we_o go_v any_o further_o the_o question_n be_v this_o whether_o there_o be_v no_o spiritual_a affection_n why_o mortify_v they_o be_v to_o be_v mortify_v for_o reason_n do_v wonderful_o persuade_v and_o necessity_n of_o mortify_v once_o apprehend_v make_v man_n go_v about_o it_o let_v we_o but_o consider_v of_o what_o moment_n it_o be_v to_o have_v they_o mortify_v what_o ill_a if_o we_o do_v not_o what_o good_a if_o we_o do_v the_o first_o reason_n be_v because_o affection_n be_v action_n
