god_n wrong_v to_o man_n to_o require_v of_o he_o that_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o perform_v no_o for_o god_n make_v man_n so_o that_o he_o may_v have_v perform_v it_o but_o he_o by_o his_o sin_n spoil_v himself_o and_o his_o posterity_n of_o those_o good_a gift_n be_v this_o corruption_n of_o nature_n in_o all_o the_o child_n of_o adam_n yea_o in_o all_o and_o every_o one_o that_o be_v mere_a man_n none_o except_v rom._n 3._o 10._o &_o 5._o 15._o all_o child_n since_o adam_n fall_n be_v beget_v in_o it_o ps._n 51._o 5._o how_o then_o do_v the_o apostle_n say_v that_o holy_a parent_n beget_v holy_a child_n parent_n beget_v child_n as_o they_o be_v by_o nature_n not_o as_o they_o be_v by_o grace_n how_o be_v original_a sin_n propagate_v and_o derive_v from_o the_o father_n to_o the_o son_n sin_n we_o be_v not_o to_o be_v so_o curious_a in_o seek_v the_o manner_n how_o as_o to_o mark_v the_o matter_n to_o be_v in_o we_o even_o as_o when_o a_o house_n be_v on_o fire_n man_n shall_v not_o be_v so_o busy_a to_o inquire_v how_o it_o come_v as_o see_v it_o there_o to_o quench_v it_o but_o this_o we_o may_v safe_o say_v that_o what_o effect_n the_o commit_n of_o the_o first_o sin_n wrought_v in_o the_o soul_n of_o adam_n the_o same_z it_o do_v by_o the_o imputation_n of_o it_o work_v in_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o posterity_n as_o therefore_o the_o committall_n of_o that_o sin_n leave_v a_o stain_n behind_o it_o in_o his_o nature_n be_v like_o a_o drop_n of_o poison_n that_o be_v once_o take_v in_o present_o infect_v the_o sound_a part_n or_o like_o the_o dead_a fly_n that_o mar_v the_o most_o precious_a ointment_n of_o the_o apothecary_n so_o in_o the_o creation_n and_o infusion_n of_o our_o soul_n into_o our_o body_n god_n just_o impute_v the_o same_o transgression_n unto_o we_o the_o same_o corruption_n of_o nature_n as_o the_o just_a punishment_n of_o that_o sin_n must_v ensue_v in_o the_o like_a manner_n have_v this_o inbred_a sin_n wherein_o every_o one_o be_v conceive_v equal_o pollute_v all_o man_n yes_o though_o not_o altogether_o alike_o for_o disposition_n and_o motion_n to_o evil_a for_o experience_n teach_v we_o that_o some_o be_v by_o nature_n more_o mild_a courteous_a and_o gentle_a than_o other_o which_o difference_n notwithstanding_o be_v not_o so_o much_o in_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n as_o in_o the_o lord_n who_o no_o good_a work_n because_o they_o neither_o be_v as_o yet_o member_n of_o christ_n nor_o do_v offer_v they_o to_o god_n in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o be_v the_o evil_a tree_n honesty_n yet_o come_v from_o some_o other_o cause_n either_o of_o vainglory_n or_o of_o servile_a fear_n or_o opinion_n of_o merit_n then_o from_o faith_n and_o consequent_o the_o love_n of_o god_n they_o be_v no_o better_a than_o sin_n what_o show_v of_o goodness_n soever_o they_o have_v be_v there_o no_o concurrence_n of_o nature_n in_o the_o do_n of_o a_o good_a work_n take_v nature_n in_o the_o common_a sense_n of_o scripture_n for_o that_o hereditary_a corruption_n that_o cleave_v to_o all_o the_o son_n of_o adam_n eph._n 2._o 3._o 1_o cor._n 2._o 14._o no_o good_a work_n have_v any_o life_n or_o in_o some_o part_n justify_v we_o or_o any_o whit_n merit_n and_o deserve_v the_o favour_n of_o god_n no_o because_o work_n 1._o we_o be_v ten_o thousand_o time_n more_o indebt_v to_o the_o will_n as_o a_o evil_a choice_n or_o consent_v to_o sin_n the_o action_n which_o we_o call_v outward_a be_v the_o action_n or_o work_n of_o the_o sense_n fight_v against_o the_o law_n of_o god_n
