shun_v the_o most_o proper_a sin_n of_o reprobate_n as_o final_a impenitency_n final_a unbelief_n and_o final_a apostasy_n the_o two_o former_a of_o which_o may_v be_v without_o the_o latter_a but_o the_o latter_a can_v never_o be_v without_o the_o former_a all_o three_o be_v deadly_a sin_n and_o if_o we_o be_v careful_a to_o shun_v these_o most_o proper_a sin_n of_o they_o we_o shall_v never_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o this_o difference_n may_v be_v thus_o express_v in_o two_o proposition_n viz._n god_n elect_n shall_v enjoy_v everlasting_a life_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v reprobate_n shall_v suffer_v everlasting_a death_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v the_o first_o proposition_n be_v that_o god_n elect_n shall_v proposit_n 1_o proposit_n enjoy_v everlasting_a life_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o touch_v this_o life_n of_o they_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v the_o nature_n of_o it_o the_o certainty_n of_o it_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o first_o touch_v the_o nature_n of_o it_o i_o say_v that_o everlasting_a life_n be_v not_o here_o to_o be_v take_v in_o a_o natural_a sense_n but_o in_o a_o spiritual_a and_o mystical_a sense_n for_o if_o we_o shall_v take_v it_o in_o a_o natural_a sense_n it_o can_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o everlasting_a conjunction_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n with_o his_o body_n which_o life_n shall_v be_v common_a to_o good_a and_o bad_a to_o elect_a and_o reprobate_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v
because_o after_o the_o general_a resurrection_n they_o shall_v both_o live_v for_o ever_o both_o in_o their_o soul_n and_o body_n unite_a and_o conjoin_v and_o so_o shall_v both_o have_v everlasting_a life_n in_o a_o natural_a sense_n but_o here_o everlasting_a life_n be_v to_o be_v take_v in_o a_o spiritual_a and_o mystical_a sense_n and_o so_o it_o shall_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o everlasting_a conjunction_n with_o god_n and_o with_o christ_n and_o so_o when_o i_o say_v that_o god_n elect_n shall_v enjoy_v everlasting_a life_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v my_o meaning_n be_v that_o they_o shall_v enjoy_v a_o everlasting_a conjunction_n with_o god_n and_o with_o christ_n or_o a_o everlasting_a union_n and_o communion_n with_o god_n and_o with_o christ_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v by_o reason_n whereof_o it_o be_v say_v that_o they_o shall_v ever_o be_v with_o the_o lord_n christ_n 1_o thes_n 4._o 17._o they_o shall_v be_v with_o he_o joh._n 14._o illustrate_v in_o the_o gospel_n by_o the_o separation_n of_o goat_n from_o sheep_n mat._n 25._o 32._o as_o also_o by_o the_o sever_n of_o the_o bad_a fish_n from_o the_o good_a mat._n 13._o 49._o now_o by_o reason_n of_o this_o everlasting_a separation_n of_o they_o from_o all_o union_n and_o communion_n with_o god_n with_o christ_n and_o the_o saint_n they_o shall_v never_o have_v any_o experience_n of_o god_n goodness_n mercy_n and_o love_n towards_o they_o in_o christ_n neither_o shall_v they_o ever_o have_v any_o experience_n of_o the_o saint_n favour_n and_o fellowship_n but_o shall_v still_o abide_v under_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o so_o this_o everlasting_a separation_n of_o they_o will_v be_v unto_o they_o a_o everlasting_a death_n and_o this_o death_n be_v call_v course_n must_v we_o take_v for_o to_o preserve_v ourselves_o from_o this_o eternal_a death_n sol._n first_o we_o must_v earnest_o pray_v to_o have_v our_o sin_n pardon_v as_o our_o saviour_n have_v teach_v we_o in_o his_o prayer_n and_o this_o pardon_n of_o sin_n will_v preserve_v we_o from_o eternal_a death_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o that_o speech_n of_o nathan_n to_o david_n god_n have_v put_v away_o thy_o sin_n thou_o shall_v not_o die_v 2_o sam._n 12._o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v though_o thou_o may_v and_o must_v die_v a_o temporal_a death_n yet_o thou_o shall_v not_o die_v a_o eternal_a death_n because_o god_n have_v pardon_v thy_o sin_n second_o because_o this_o pardon_n of_o sin_n can_v be_v obtain_v without_o a_o lively_a faith_n in_o christ_n we_o must_v in_o the_o next_o place_n labour_n and_o pray_v for_o this_o faith_n and_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o this_o will_v preserve_v we_o from_o eternal_a death_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o that_o say_n of_o christ_n to_o
