or_o recreated_a holiness_n the_o truth_n hereof_o may_v easy_o be_v gather_v out_o of_o the_o section_n write_v of_o faith_n in_o general_a for_o legal_a and_o evangelicall_a faith_n agree_v in_o a_o common_a definition_n and_o in_o all_o those_o point_n which_o be_v there_o mention_v the_o which_o do_v also_o show_v we_o what_o to_o think_v of_o the_o subject_n of_o faith_n to_o wit_n that_o it_o be_v in_o the_o will_n of_o man_n be_v nothing_o but_o a_o holy_a affection_n of_o confidence_n trust_v or_o affiance_n if_o it_o be_v object_v that_o faith_n be_v usual_o in_o the_o scripture_n call_v belief_n as_o infidelity_n be_v unbelief_n the_o which_o be_v a_o action_n not_o of_o the_o will_v but_o of_o the_o mind_n give_v assent_n or_o dissent_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n we_o answer_v that_o belief_n be_v put_v for_o faith_n or_o affiance_n because_o it_o do_v always_o not_o only_o accompany_v it_o but_o also_o after_o a_o sort_n beget_v it_o and_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o for_o when_o as_o a_o man_n do_v without_o doubt_v believe_v god_n promise_n be_v full_o persuade_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o they_o he_o can_v choose_v but_o rely_v himself_o upon_o they_o so_o make_v a_o part_n of_o man_n holiness_n see_v it_o be_v not_o command_v in_o the_o moral_a law_n we_o answer_v that_o it_o be_v command_v in_o the_o moral_a law_n as_o the_o other_o kind_n be_v in_o that_o it_o be_v all_o one_o in_o substance_n with_o natural_a faith_n both_o kind_n be_v affiance_n in_o god_n for_o happiness_n to_o be_v attain_v by_o the_o mean_n of_o perfect_a holiness_n and_o therefore_o both_o kind_n be_v command_v in_o the_o first_o commandment_n jehova_n shall_v be_v thy_o god_n the_o which_o law_n do_v enjoin_v that_o all_o the_o affection_n of_o man_n to_o wit_n his_o love_n fear_v hope_v reverence_n and_o with_o the_o rest_n his_o whole_a affiance_n or_o confidence_n be_v set_v whole_o oâ—_n god_n as_o well_o after_o his_o fall_n to_o be_v save_v by_o the_o and_o so_o whether_o they_o be_v such_o which_o will_v bring_v upon_o the_o doer_n some_o heavy_a judgement_n or_o no_o whereas_o if_o man_n heart_n be_v possess_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n they_o will_v think_v he_o to_o be_v always_o present_a with_o they_o and_o to_o behold_v their_o do_n and_o so_o they_o will_v be_v both_o restrain_v from_o evil_a and_o prick_v forward_o to_o do_v good_a but_o we_o see_v it_o to_o be_v far_o otherwise_o for_o in_o commit_v sin_n man_n think_v that_o they_o be_v safe_a and_o all_o be_v well_o if_o they_o can_v do_v it_o so_o secret_o as_o that_o they_o may_v avoid_v the_o shame_n slander_n reproach_n and_o anger_n of_o man_n together_o with_o the_o punishment_n prescribe_v by_o humane_a law_n but_o we_o need_v not_o stand_v in_o the_o enlarge_n of_o this_o point_n which_o be_v so_o manifest_a sect._n 3_o of_o renew_a fear_n the_o three_o head_n of_o renew_a subjection_n be_v the_o fear_n of_o god_n the_o which_o be_v a_o singular_a perfect_a and_o excellent_a knowledge_n in_o the_o angel_n then_o can_v be_v in_o any_o man_n again_o there_o be_v more_o perfect_a knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o god_n then_o in_o any_o angel_n for_o god_n be_v know_v perfect_o and_o essential_o to_o himself_o only_o these_o transcendent_a kind_n of_o knowledge_n which_o be_v without_o the_o compass_n of_o human_a nature_n be_v not_o require_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o man_n and_o therefore_o he_o want_v they_o without_o sin_n again_o we_o do_v not_o mean_v by_o perfection_n the_o high_a degree_n or_o the_o great_a measure_n of_o knowledge_n to_o have_v knowledge_n or_o the_o habit_n of_o knowledge_n the_o second_o be_v to_o be_v able_a to_o get_v that_o knowledge_n which_o as_o yet_o be_v want_v of_o these_o two_o hereafter_o in_o particular_a last_o by_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n we_o mean_v all_o manner_n of_o knowledge_n whereof_o although_o there_o be_v diverse_a kind_n as_o there_o be_v many_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n beside_o god_n to_o be_v know_v yet_o the_o holiness_n of_o the_o mind_n consist_v in_o this_o that_o it_o know_v all_o thing_n in_o god_n and_o nothing_o any_o otherwise_o then_o as_o it_o come_v
