armour_n as_o think_v that_o which_o i_o have_v say_v objection_n but_o a_o mere_a fancy_n and_o untruth_n see_v the_o enemy_n which_o we_o fight_v against_o be_v strong_a and_o rage_a and_o many_o good_a servant_n of_o god_n have_v be_v subdue_v of_o they_o in_o temptation_n whereas_o i_o have_v not_o speak_v much_o say_v they_o of_o the_o conflict_n and_o combat_n which_o they_o have_v with_o the_o allurement_n of_o sin_n as_o though_o they_o resist_v and_o overcome_v they_o with_o ease_n and_o without_o any_o great_a strive_n to_o satisfy_v such_o i_o answer_v that_o the_o speak_n of_o conflict_n belong_v to_o another_o treatise_n namely_o the_o five_o where_o i_o handle_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o let_n here_o i_o only_o speak_v of_o the_o armour_n according_a to_o the_o part_n of_o the_o division_n set_v down_o answer_n and_o yet_o none_o can_v understand_v i_o if_o he_o mark_v that_o i_o think_v sin_n and_o our_o lust_n to_o be_v easy_o overcome_v which_o i_o call_v furious_a and_o rage_a or_o satan_n suggestion_n by_o object_n or_o without_o to_o be_v soon_o resist_v which_o i_o say_v be_v both_o sly_o wrought_v to_o deceive_v we_o and_o to_o have_v mighty_a force_n to_o draw_v and_o allure_v we_o but_o rather_o every_o discreet_a reader_n may_v gather_v that_o i_o count_v it_o the_o most_o hard_a and_o difficult_a of_o all_o other_o thing_n to_o subdue_v and_o conquer_v they_o because_o i_o show_v such_o necessity_n of_o walk_v arm_v continual_o against_o they_o for_o what_o can_v i_o say_v less_o then_o that_o we_o must_v strive_v manful_o and_o who_o yet_o be_v of_o this_o mind_n that_o they_o may_v be_v christian_n good_a enough_o though_o they_o know_v it_o not_o i_o will_v therefore_o satisfy_v such_o as_o i_o can_v objection_n in_o few_o word_n other_o some_o think_v that_o although_o it_o be_v fit_a and_o meet_v for_o strong_a christian_n yet_o that_o weak_a one_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v trouble_v with_o the_o seek_n for_o it_o but_o may_v content_v themselves_o to_o serve_v god_n as_o they_o can_v without_o it_o their_o reason_n be_v this_o lest_o while_o we_o lay_v such_o strong_a load_n and_o burden_n on_o they_o be_v yet_o but_o weak_a we_o discourage_v and_o drive_v they_o out_o of_o heart_n altogether_o these_o two_o objection_n indeed_o the_o wit_n of_o man_n after_o the_o hear_n of_o this_o present_a doctrine_n of_o the_o armour_n will_v be_v ready_a to_o put_v forth_o and_o he_o that_o be_v past_o both_o these_o doubt_n and_o trouble_v with_o neither_o of_o they_o i_o think_v nay_o i_o know_v that_o he_o have_v overcome_v much_o and_o have_v well_o profit_v for_o the_o satisfy_n of_o those_o who_o be_v weak_a i_o will_v answer_v a_o little_a to_o both_o to_o the_o foremost_a why_o shall_v any_o think_v answer_v that_o they_o may_v be_v good_a christian_n without_o this_o see_v they_o must_v needs_o grant_v that_o if_o they_o walk_v naked_o they_o can_v walk_v safe_o every_o man_n be_v a_o blind_a guide_n to_o himself_o i_o deny_v not_o but_o that_o a_o christian_a fear_v god_n and_o believe_v in_o he_o may_v be_v ignorant_a of_o this_o armour_n but_o then_o let_v not_o such_o say_v that_o they_o may_v serve_v god_n well_o enough_o without_o it_z which_o be_v here_o object_v for_o that_o be_v far_o off_o from_o the_o most_o zealous_a and_o he_o who_o think_v himself_o forward_a yea_o and_o have_v a_o large_a heart_n fill_v with_o holy_a desire_n be_v far_o off_o from_o it_o for_o what_o substance_n of_o godliness_n be_v there_o in_o such_o a_o life_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o serve_v of_o god_n aright_o and_o as_o it_o be_v behooveful_a see_v it_o shall_v be_v find_v both_o idle_a and_o unprofitable_a or_o a_o wander_a course_n and_o that_o which_o be_v in_o no_o wise_a to_o be_v rest_v in_o without_o the_o help_n of_o the_o armour_n from_o which_o they_o have_v their_o strength_n to_o live_v well_o whosoever_o have_v any_o measure_n of_o grace_n to_o live_v godly_a as_o by_o consider_v the_o force_n and_o use_v of_o the_o armour_n may_v be_v easy_o see_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o speech_n at_o the_o least_o full_a of_o ignorance_n to_o say_v we_o may_v serve_v god_n as_o it_o be_v meet_v although_o we_o have_v no_o acquaintance_n with_o the_o armour_n for_o the_o second_o objection_n answer_v that_o it_o seem_v to_o be_v too_o heavy_a a_o burden_v of_o weak_a christian_n to_o impose_v and_o lay_v it_o upon_o they_o it_o be_v as_o unsavourie_a as_o the_o former_a for_o they_o who_o be_v new_o bear_v which_o sort_n be_v the_o weak_a and_o feeble_a in_o god_n family_n be_v no_o soon_o bring_v out_o of_o the_o thraldom_n and_o fear_v of_o damnation_n wherein_o satan_n hold_v they_o before_o but_o if_o they_o be_v able_a to_o speak_v they_o will_v first_o ask_v for_o this_o that_o they_o may_v ever_o abide_v in_o the_o estate_n of_o salvation_n wherein_o they_o now_o see_v themselves_o to_o be_v and_o never_o forget_v god_n kindness_n but_o daily_o and_o hourly_o feel_v and_o enjoy_v it_o also_o to_o honour_v he_o for_o it_o to_o testify_v their_o thankfulness_n to_o please_v he_o in_o all_o thing_n and_o in_o all_o weaken_v in_o i_o contrary_a to_o that_o which_o sometime_o i_o have_v find_v and_o persuade_v i_o that_o even_o my_o affliction_n and_o the_o hard_a part_n of_o my_o life_n be_v send_v not_o in_o thy_o anger_n and_o displeasure_n but_o of_o favour_n and_o mercy_n and_o that_o for_o my_o good_a thou_o do_v of_o very_a faithfulness_n cause_v i_o when_o so_o ever_o i_o be_o chastise_v to_o be_v evil_a of_o the_o heart_n may_v the_o better_o appear_v and_o so_o the_o cause_n of_o our_o unprofitablenesse_n the_o more_o clear_o be_v see_v it_o shall_v be_v good_a to_o set_v down_o some_o of_o to_o the_o which_o by_o nature_n we_o be_v most_o incline_v as_o to_o the_o love_n of_o the_o world_n uncleanness_n break_v off_o of_o brotherly_a affection_n etc._n etc._n and_o here_o if_o at_o any_o time_n we_o shall_v be_v overtake_v which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v doubt_v of_o no_o not_o of_o the_o most_o circumspect_a and_o best_a advise_v we_o resolute_o purpose_v not_o to_o sleep_v nor_o seek_v for_o so_o oft_o as_o the_o thing_n themselves_o be_v use_v as_o for_o example_n see_v the_o ready_a and_o best_a way_n to_o nourish_v and_o continue_v this_o holy_a desire_n and_o careful_a watch_v over_o our_o heart_n be_v increase_v of_o knowledge_n by_o the_o help_n of_o hear_v and_o read_v for_o zealous_a and_o holy_a affection_n be_v like_o a_o flame_n of_o fire_n which_o without_o the_o add_v and_o put_v to_o of_o wood_n as_o new_a matter_n will_v soon_o be_v quench_v and_o extinguish_v so_o will_v our_o look_v to_o our_o heart_n and_o observe_v of_o they_o be_v loose_o and_o light_o continue_v it_o be_v our_o purpose_n to_o stir_v up_o ourselves_o with_o more_o earnestness_n hereunto_o because_o we_o know_v that_o we_o shall_v otherwise_o frustrate_v and_o make_v vain_a
