infinite_o love_v and_o delight_n in_o itself_o because_o within_o the_o vast_a circumference_n of_o its_o own_o be_v it_o have_v every_o thing_n that_o it_o needs_o desire_n or_o affect_v
miserable_a condition_n they_o be_v there_o expose_v to_o hunger_n and_o cold_a and_o perpetual_a slavery_n so_o that_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v judge_v of_o the_o whole_a empire_n by_o this_o part_n of_o it_o he_o will_v conclude_v that_o emperor_n to_o be_v a_o most_o savage_a tyrant_n and_o his_o country_n to_o be_v the_o most_o miserable_a place_n in_o the_o world_n whereas_o in_o reality_n all_o the_o other_o part_n of_o that_o empire_n be_v render_v more_o happy_a by_o the_o misery_n of_o this_o place_n which_o serve_v to_o strike_v a_o awe_o into_o all_o the_o other_o subject_n of_o it_o and_o to_o restrain_v they_o within_o the_o bound_n of_o their_o loyalty_n and_o duty_n and_o so_o unless_o we_o have_v as_o full_a a_o prospect_n of_o the_o whole_a dominion_n of_o god_n providence_n as_o we_o have_v of_o this_o little_a spot_n of_o it_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o censure_v his_o government_n of_o the_o whole_a by_o the_o little_a inconvenience_n that_o occur_v in_o his_o government_n of_o a_o part_n for_o in_o such_o a_o vast_a dominion_n as_o god_n be_v there_o may_v be_v a_o thousand_o good_a reason_n that_o we_o know_v not_o of_o why_o some_o part_n of_o it_o shall_v be_v more_o unhappy_a than_o other_o and_o if_o in_o some_o particular_n he_o incommode_n this_o part_n for_o the_o public_a commodity_n of_o the_o whole_a we_o be_v so_o far_o from_o have_v any_o reason_n to_o complain_v that_o we_o ought_v in_o all_o justice_n to_o praise_n and_o adore_v his_o goodness_n for_o it_o it_o be_v enough_o for_o we_o that_o we_o understand_v so_o much_o of_o god_n nature_n as_o we_o do_v and_o have_v such_o apparent_a instance_n of_o his_o goodness_n in_o the_o work_v of_o his_o creation_n and_o providence_n and_o therefore_o if_o we_o in_o this_o little_a part_n of_o god_n empire_n suffer_v some_o small_a inconvenience_n we_o ought_v to_o bless_v and_o adore_v his_o goodness_n for_o those_o great_a good_n we_o enjoy_v and_o to_o rest_v satisfy_v with_o this_o that_o our_o particular_a inconvenience_n may_v for_o all_o we_o know_v be_v great_a conveniency_n to_o the_o public_a 5_o thly_a that_o many_o other_o thing_n seem_v evil_a to_o we_o in_o the_o course_n of_o god_n providence_n because_o we_o judge_v of_o they_o by_o their_o present_a sensible_a effect_n and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o comprehend_v the_o universal_a drift_n and_o connexion_n and_o dependence_n of_o they_o for_o as_o i_o have_v already_o show_v you_o in_o the_o former_a discourse_n on_o this_o argument_n there_o be_v a_o continue_a juncture_n and_o dependence_n from_o first_o to_o last_o between_o all_o the_o action_n and_o contrivance_n of_o divine_a providence_n and_o every_o one_o have_v a_o relation_n to_o every_o one_o from_o the_o beginning_n to_o the_o end_n of_o all_o that_o mighty_a chain_n of_o cause_n whereof_o it_o consist_v so_o that_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o judge_v right_o of_o one_o part_n of_o providence_n with_o what_o follow_v and_o you_o shall_v present_o see_v that_o scene_n clear_v up_o and_o all_o those_o sad_a preparation_n end_v in_o a_o joyful_a conclusion_n and_o if_o we_o consider_v that_o most_o glorious_a part_n that_o ever_o god_n providence_n act_v on_o the_o stage_n of_o the_o world_n viz._n the_o history_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n how_o dark_a and_o gloomy_a do_v the_o former_a part_n of_o it_o look_v if_o we_o view_v it_o separately_z from_o the_o antecedent_n and_o consequent_n of_o it_o sure_o if_o any_o thing_n will_v justify_v our_o hard_a censure_n of_o god_n providence_n it_o will_v be_v the_o behold_v of_o such_o a_o rare_a and_o excellent_a person_n expose_v to_o so_o many_o misery_n and_o calamity_n to_o see_v he_o cast_v forth_o to_o the_o wide_a world_n as_o a_o helpless_a prey_n to_o the_o rage_n of_o his_o enemy_n to_o behold_v he_o hang_v upon_o the_o cross_n desert_v of_o his_o friend_n mock_v and_o torment_v by_o his_o barbarous_a murderer_n and_o in_o the_o most_o bitter_a agony_n breathe_v out_o his_o white_a and_o innocent_a soul_n o_o good_a lord_n what_o a_o dismal_a prospect_n of_o thy_o providence_n be_v here_o but_o stay_v a_o little_a let_v we_o but_o see_v the_o glorious_a light_n that_o in_o conclusion_n break_v out_o of_o this_o dismal_a darkness_n first_o he_o be_v raise_v from_o the_o dead_a than_o he_o ascend_v up_o to_o heaven_n where_o at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o his_o father_n he_o reign_v a_o eternal_a king_n in_o full_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o give_v gift_n unto_o man_n and_o bestow_v those_o immortal_a reward_n on_o they_o which_o he_o purchase_v for_o they_o with_o his_o blood_n so_o that_o though_o single_o and_o apart_o the_o first_o scene_n of_o this_o great_a providence_n be_v very_o dismal_a and_o affright_a yet_o consider_v altogether_o how_o beautiful_a and_o harmonious_a do_v it_o appear_v so_o true_a be_v that_o of_o the_o preacher_n eccles._n 3.11_o he_o have_v make_v every_o thing_n beautiful_a in_o his_o time_n also_o he_o have_v set_v the_o world_n in_o their_o heart_n so_o that_o no_o man_n can_v find_v out_o the_o work_n that_o god_n make_v from_o the_o begin_n to_o the_o end_n and_o therefore_o because_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o see_v from_o the_o beginning_n to_o the_o end_n of_o god_n providence_n it_o be_v a_o unreasonable_a thing_n for_o we_o to_o censure_v the_o whole_a because_o of_o some_o seem_a inconvenience_n that_o we_o see_v in_o those_o part_n of_o it_o that_o lie_v before_o we_o let_v we_o stay_v but_o till_o the_o wind_a up_o of_o the_o bottom_n till_o all_o be_v finish_v and_o present_v it_o one_o entire_a piece_n to_o our_o view_n and_o then_o we_o shall_v have_v leave_n to_o censure_v if_o we_o can_v find_v any_o reason_n for_o it_o 6_o thly_a and_o last_o many_o other_o thing_n seem_v evil_a to_o we_o in_o the_o course_n of_o god_n providence_n which_o be_v not_o so_o mere_o because_o we_o understand_v very_o little_a of_o the_o other_o world_n it_o seem_v to_o we_o a_o mighty_a evil_n in_o providence_n that_o so_o great_a a_o part_n of_o the_o world_n be_v leave_v in_o darkness_n and_o ignorance_n and_o in_o so_o great_a a_o measure_n deprive_v of_o the_o vast_a advantage_n of_o true_a religion_n but_o how_o do_v we_o know_v how_o god_n will_v dispose_v of_o they_o in_o the_o other_o world_n what_o abatement_n he_o will_v make_v they_o and_o by_o what_o measure_v he_o will_v judge_v they_o whether_o he_o will_v not_o allow_v they_o some_o far_a time_n of_o trial_n and_o so_o make_v good_a to_o
