not_o but_o to_o secure_v the_o pretend_a end_n of_o it_o in_o their_o preservation_n from_o seduction_n by_o their_o own_o skill_n and_o resolution_n on_o such_o pretence_n be_v all_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o many_o despise_a and_o a_o religion_n be_v form_v wherein_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n have_v no_o concernment_n but_o these_o thing_n be_v otherwise_o state_v in_o the_o and_o delight_n in_o obedience_n with_o their_o dignity_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o all_o his_o holy_a angel_n do_v depend_v thereon_o neither_o do_v we_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o thing_n obscure_a or_o unintelligible_a that_o which_o no_o man_n can_v know_v whether_o he_o have_v or_o no._n for_o if_o it_o be_v so_o a_o thing_n so_o thin_a aerial_a and_o imperceptible_a as_o that_o no_o spiritual_a sense_n or_o experience_n can_v be_v have_v of_o it_o the_o apostle_n will_v not_o have_v refer_v all_o sort_n and_o degree_n of_o believer_n father_n young_a man_n and_o little_a child_n unto_o it_o for_o their_o relief_n and_o encouragement_n in_o the_o time_n of_o danger_n wherefore_o it_o evidence_v itself_o in_o the_o way_n and_o manner_n of_o its_o act_n operation_n and_o teach_v before_o declare_v and_o as_o by_o those_o instance_n they_o satisfy_v themselves_o as_o unto_o what_o experience_n they_o have_v of_o it_o so_o it_o be_v their_o duty_n to_o pray_v continual_o for_o its_o increase_n and_o further_a manifestation_n of_o its_o power_n in_o they_o yea_o it_o be_v their_o duty_n to_o labour_v that_o their_o prayer_n for_o it_o may_v be_v both_o fervent_a and_o effectual_a for_o the_o more_o express_a and_o eminent_a the_o teach_n of_o this_o anoint_v in_o they_o be_v the_o more_o fresh_a and_o plentiful_a be_v their_o unction_n the_o more_o will_v their_o holiness_n and_o consolation_n abound_v and_o whereas_o this_o be_v that_o by_o which_o as_o it_o immediate_o proceed_v from_o the_o holy_a spirit_n they_o have_v their_o peculiar_a dedication_n unto_o god_n be_v make_v king_n and_o priest_n unto_o he_o they_o be_v high_o concern_v to_o secure_v their_o interest_n therein_o for_o it_o may_v be_v they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v exalt_v promote_v and_o dignify_v in_o the_o world_n by_o their_o profession_n as_o that_o they_o be_v make_v thereby_o the_o scorn_n of_o man_n and_o the_o outcast_n of_o the_o people_n those_o indeed_o who_o kingdom_n and_o priesthood_n their_o dignity_n and_o honour_n in_o christianity_n their_o approximation_n unto_o god_n and_o christ_n in_o a_o peculiar_a manner_n consist_v in_o secular_a title_n honour_n power_n and_o grandeur_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o papacy_n may_v content_v themselves_o with_o their_o chrism_n or_o greasy_a unction_n of_o their_o outward_a ceremonious_a consecration_n without_o much_o enquiry_n after_o or_o concern_v in_o this_o spiritual_a anoint_v but_o those_o who_o get_v little_a or_o nothing_o in_o this_o world_n that_o be_v of_o the_o world_n by_o their_o profession_n but_o labour_n pain_n travail_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n with_o scorn_n reproach_n and_o persecution_n have_v need_n look_v after_o that_o which_o give_v they_o a_o dignity_n and_o honour_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o which_o bring_v in_o satisfaction_n and_o peace_n unto_o their_o own_o soul_n and_o this_o be_v do_v by_o that_o anoint_v alone_o whereby_o they_o be_v make_v king_n and_o priest_n unto_o god_n have_v honour_n before_o he_o and_o a_o free_a sacred_a access_n unto_o he_o i_o shall_v only_o add_v that_o whereas_o we_o ascribe_v this_o anoint_v in_o a_o pecnliar_a manner_n unto_o the_o holy_a ghost_n as_o the_o comforter_n of_o the_o church_n we_o may_v easy_o discern_v wherein_o the_o consolation_n which_o we_o receive_v by_o it_o do_v clear_a apprehension_n of_o save_v truth_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n and_o beauty_n and_o enlarge_v the_o heart_n with_o love_n unto_o it_o and_o delight_n in_o it_o it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o believer_n be_v ofttimes_o either_o at_o such_o a_o loss_n as_o unto_o a_o clear_a apprehension_n of_o their_o own_o spiritual_a state_n or_o so_o unskilled_a in_o make_v a_o right_a judgement_n of_o the_o cause_n and_o mean_n of_o divine_a consolation_n or_o so_o confuse_v in_o their_o own_o experience_n or_o so_o negligent_a in_o their_o inquiry_n into_o these_o thing_n or_o be_v so_o disorder_v by_o temptation_n as_o that_o they_o receive_v not_o a_o refresh_a sense_n of_o those_o comfort_n and_o joy_n which_o be_v real_o inseparable_a from_o this_o anoint_v but_o still_o it_o
