as_o be_v specify_v or_o modify_v at_o least_o by_o the_o agent_n and_o the_o recipient_n and_o sub-agent_n part_n conjunct_a but_o 1._o as_o the_o sun_n will_v do_v the_o same_o thing_n ex_fw-la because_o here_o they_o act_v according_a to_o objective_a termination_n and_o the_o receptivity_n of_o the_o sense_n and_o fantasy_n &_o recipitur_fw-la ad_fw-la modum_fw-la recipientis_fw-la and_o in_o the_o womb_n we_o perceive_v not_o that_o it_o act_v intellectual_o at_o all_o but_o we_o know_v that_o 1._o if_o even_o then_o it_o differ_v not_o in_o its_o formal_a â—ower_n from_o the_o soul_n of_o brute_n it_o will_v not_o so_o much_o afterward_o differ_v in_o act_n and_o it_o will_v never_o be_v raise_v to_o that_o which_o be_v not_o virtual_o in_o its_o nature_n at_o the_o first_o other_o sense_n be_v none_o and_o so_o of_o the_o rest_n therefore_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o suppose_v that_o as_o far_o as_o our_o glorify_a soul_n and_o our_o spiritual_a glorify_a body_n will_v differ_v so_o far_o christ_n glorify_a soul_n and_o body_n will_v respective_o be_v their_o several_a object_n and_o behold_v the_o glory_n of_o both_o will_v be_v part_n of_o our_o glory_n §_o 16._o yet_o be_v it_o not_o hence_o to_o be_v gather_v that_o the_o separate_a soul_n before_o the_o resurrection_n shall_v not_o have_v christ_n glorify_a body_n for_o its_o object_n for_o the_o object_n of_o the_o body_n be_v also_o the_o object_n of_o the_o soul_n or_o to_o speak_v more_o proper_o the_o object_n of_o sense_n be_v also_o the_o object_n of_o intellection_n and_o will_n though_o all_o the_o object_n of_o the_o intellect_n and_o will_n be_v not_o object_n of_o sense_n the_o separate_a soul_n can_v know_v christ_n glorify_a body_n though_o our_o present_a body_n can_v see_v a_o soul_n but_o how_o much_o our_o spiritual_a body_n will_v excel_v in_o capacity_n and_o activity_n these_o passive_a body_n that_o have_v so_o much_o earth_n and_o water_n we_o can_v tell_v §_o 17._o and_o though_o now_o our_o soul_n be_v as_o a_o candle_n in_o a_o lantern_n and_o must_v have_v extrinsic_a object_n admit_v by_o the_o sense_n before_o they_o can_v be_v understand_v yet_o it_o follow_v not_o that_o therefore_o a_o separate_a soul_n can_v know_v such_o object_n 1._o because_o it_o now_o know_v they_o abstractive_o per_n species_n because_o its_o act_n of_o ratiocination_n that_o we_o be_v uncertain_a whether_o the_o separate_a soul_n have_v no_o vehicle_n or_o body_n at_o all_o thing_n unknown_a to_o we_o must_v not_o be_v suppose_v true_a or_o false_a some_o think_v that_o the_o sensitive_a soul_n be_v material_a and_o as_o a_o body_n to_o the_o intellectual_a never_o separate_v i_o be_o not_o of_o their_o opinion_n that_o make_v they_o two_o substance_n but_o i_o can_v say_v i_o be_o certain_a that_o they_o err_v some_o think_v that_o the_o soul_n be_v material_a of_o a_o pure_a substance_n than_o thing_n visible_a and_o that_o the_o common_a notion_n of_o its_o substantiality_n mean_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o pure_a as_o they_o call_v it_o spiritual_a materiality_n thus_o think_v not_o only_a tertullian_n but_o almost_o all_o the_o old_a greek_a doctor_n of_o the_o church_n that_o write_v of_o it_o and_o most_o of_o the_o latin_a or_o very_o many_o as_o i_o have_v elsewhere_o show_v and_o as_o faustus_n recite_v they_o in_o the_o treatise_n answer_v by_o mammertus_n some_o think_v that_o the_o soul_n as_o vegetative_a be_v a_o igneous_a body_n such_o as_o we_o call_v aether_n or_o solar_a fire_n or_o rather_o of_o a_o high_a pure_a kind_n and_o that_o sensation_n and_o intellection_n be_v those_o formal_a faculty_n which_o specifical_o difference_n it_o from_o inferior_a mere_a fire_n or_o aether_n there_o be_v few_o of_o the_o old_a doctor_n that_o think_v it_o not_o some_o of_o these_o way_n material_a and_o consequent_o extensive_a and_o divisible_a per_fw-la potentiam_fw-la divin_n 〈◊〉_d though_o not_o natural_o or_o of_o its_o own_o inclination_n because_o most_o strong_o incline_v to_o unity_n and_o if_o any_o of_o all_o these_o uncertain_a opinion_n shall_v prove_v true_a the_o objection_n in_o hand_n will_v cogitation_n of_o man_n that_o have_v better_o let_v unknown_a thing_n alone_o so_o yet_o they_o may_v be_v mention_v to_o refel_v that_o more_o perilous_a boldness_n which_o deny_v the_o soul_n action_n which_o be_v certain_a upon_o at_o best_o uncertain_a reason_n §_o 18._o i_o may_v bold_o conclude_v notwithstanding_o such_o objection_n that_o christ_n divine_a and_o humane_a nature_n the_o tree_n or_o the_o plant_n on_o the_o earth_n or_o the_o member_n on_o the_o body_n though_o yet_o they_o be_v not_o part_n of_o the_o deity_n nor_o deify_v because_o the_o communication_n be_v creative_a so_o god_n use_v second_o cause_n in_o his_o communication_n to_o inferior_a nature_n and_o it_o be_v more_o than_o probable_a that_o the_o humane_a soul_n of_o christ_n primary_o and_o his_o body_n secondary_o be_v the_o chief_a second_o cause_n of_o influence_n and_o communication_n both_o of_o grace_n and_o glory_n both_o to_o man_n in_o the_o body_n and_o to_o the_o separate_v soul_n and_o as_o the_o sun_n be_v first_o a_o efficient_a communicative_a second_o cause_n of_o see_v to_o the_o eye_n and_o then_o be_v also_o the_o object_n of_o our_o sight_n so_o christ_n be_v to_o the_o soul_n capacity_n for_o as_o god_n so_o the_o lamb_n be_v the_o light_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n and_o in_o his_o light_n we_o shall_v have_v light_n though_o he_o give_v up_o the_o kingdom_n to_o the_o father_n so_o far_o as_o that_o god_n shall_v be_v all_o in_o all_o and_o his_o creature_n be_v full_o restore_v to_o his_o favour_n and_o there_o shall_v be_v
