and_o if_o again_o as_o unite_v he_o have_v but_o still_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o divine_a and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o humane_a nature_n which_o righteousness_n be_v but_o twofold_a where_o now_o be_v his_o three_o sort_n or_o where_o will_v he_o find_v it_o his_o four_o sort_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n as_o he_o call_v it_o be_v his_o obedience_n in_o life_n and_o death_n and_o this_o say_v he_o be_v the_o righteousness_n which_o be_v impute_v now_o as_o he_o make_v this_o a_o four_o sort_n and_o so_o specifical_o distinct_a from_o the_o other_o than_o this_o man_n think_v thou_o reader_n run_v division_n to_o a_o purpose_n in_o christ_n righteousness_n until_o he_o have_v whole_o cut_v off_o and_o cast_v away_o from_o he_o his_o active_a and_o passive_a be_v so_o stiff_a for_o such_o a_o imputation_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n as_o to_o be_v formal_o in_o your_o own_o person_n righteous_a with_o it_o what_o this_o doctrine_n lead_v to_o shut_v not_o your_o eye_n against_o clear_a light_n the_o lord_n make_v it_o a_o conviction_n unto_o you_o when_o you_o hear_v that_o man_n will_v have_v the_o active_a and_o passive_a obedience_n of_o christ_n to_o be_v that_o they_o be_v material_o and_o formal_o righteous_a with_o and_o yet_o will_v not_o have_v this_o active_a and_o passive_a obedience_n to_o be_v either_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n as_o god_n or_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n as_o man_n or_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n as_o god_n and_o man_n and_o so_o to_o be_v none_o of_o christ_n righteousness_n betwixt_o god_n and_o they_o can_v these_o person_n understand_v the_o nature_n of_o mercy_n and_o grace_n as_o they_o shall_v who_o talk_v of_o a_o covenant_n of_o mercy_n and_o grace_n make_v with_o christ_n well_o but_o say_v they_o it_o be_v make_v with_o christ_n for_o we_o and_o with_o we_o in_o he_o i_o answer_v if_o they_o speak_v of_o the_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n i_o grant_v it_o this_o be_v all_o they_o intend_v by_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v make_v with_o christ_n for_o believer_n they_o do_v not_o differ_v from_o i_o in_o the_o thing_n though_o yet_o observe_v their_o notion_n confound_v in_o the_o matter_n the_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n make_v with_o christ_n make_v it_o the_o same_o with_o that_o which_o be_v make_v with_o sinner_n which_o be_v strict_o in_o its_o own_o nature_n and_o in_o the_o very_a matter_n of_o it_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n and_o further_o when_o they_o say_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n as_o such_o in_o its_o own_o nature_n be_v make_v with_o we_o in_o christ_n if_o they_o mean_v with_o we_o in_o christ_n as_o the_o purchaser_n which_o this_o man_n deny_v in_o scorn_n or_o the_o great_a mean_a of_o conveyance_n of_o the_o blessing_n hereof_o or_o with_o â—s_n in_o christ_n as_o we_o have_v interest_n in_o it_o after_o a_o special_a sort_n upon_o our_o union_n with_o he_o by_o faith_n i_o question_n i._n e._n how_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n manifest_v in_o the_o second_o covenant_n a._n in_o that_o he_o free_o provide_v and_o offer_v to_o sinner_n a_o mediator_n and_o life_n and_o salvation_n by_o he_o and_o require_v faith_n as_o the_o condition_n to_o interest_n they_o in_o he_o promise_v and_o give_v his_o holy_a spirit_n to_o all_o his_o elect_n to_o work_v in_o they_o righteousness_n or_o all_o the_o seed_n of_o israel_n justify_v in_o he_o a._n this_o i_o have_v full_o answer_v above_o and_o from_o thence_o he_o may_v know_v by_o efficiency_n and_o merit_n q._n 4._o if_o god_n justify_v the_o elect_a by_o a_o righteousness_n which_o answer_v not_o the_o law_n of_o innocency_n then_o how_o do_v he_o administer_v grace_n in_o a_o way_n of_o justice_n or_o faith_n it_o be_v not_o true_a 2_o he_o suppose_v that_o god_n justifi_v by_o a_o righteousness_n that_o answer_v the_o law_n of_o innocency_n if_o he_o mean_v by_o such_o a_o righteousness_n as_o be_v the_o merit_n i_o grant_v but_o if_o he_o mean_v by_o such_o a_o righteousness_n a_o righteousness_n which_o we_o be_v personal_o righteous_a with_o this_o i_o deny_v if_o god_n say_v he_o do_v not_o justify_v the_o elect_a by_o a_o righteousness_n which_o answer_v the_o law_n of_o innocency_n how_o then_o say_v he_o do_v he_o administer_v grace_n in_o a_o way_n of_o justice_n i_o answer_v god_n do_v justify_v by_o that_o righteousness_n which_o answer_v the_o gospel_n or_o god_n law_n of_o grace_n if_o he_o mean_v by_o answer_v a_o conformity_n to_o the_o precept_n of_o a_o law_n i._n e._n the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n and_o in_o this_o he_o administer_v grace_n in_o the_o way_n of_o justice_n 1._o as_o he_o accept_v faith_n for_o righteousness_n and_o give_v we_o a_o actual_a right_n thereupon_o to_o pardon_n and_o life_n for_o christ_n sake_n who_o active_a righteousness_n be_v a_o conformity_n to_o the_o law_n of_o innocency_n as_o it_o require_v sinless_a perfect_a
