church_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n who_o give_v this_o sacrament_n to_o child_n and_o infant_n as_o soon_o as_o person_n be_v able_a to_o examine_v themselves_o they_o be_v bind_v to_o come_v to_o this_o sacrament_n another_o man_n be_v examine_v of_o we_o be_v not_o enough_o without_o self-examination_n the_o prayer_n i._o one_o of_o the_o most_o wonderful_a thing_n in_o the_o christian_a world_n be_v that_o such_o a_o sacrament_n as_o that_o of_o the_o eucharist_n shall_v be_v institute_v by_o the_o great_a saviour_n of_o mankind_n a_o sacrament_n wherein_o the_o most_o stupendous_a blessing_n be_v offer_v to_o man_n and_o that_o man_n shall_v receive_v it_o so_o often_o and_o no_o great_a effect_n shall_v appear_v upon_o their_o life_n and_o temper_n after_o their_o participation_n of_o it_o which_o be_v as_o much_o as_o to_o say_v that_o fire_n give_v no_o heat_n and_o the_o sun_n no_o light_n health_n afford_v no_o cure_n abundance_n keep_v man_n poor_a and_o the_o most_o wholesome_a meat_n produce_v no_o nourishment_n that_o which_o make_v the_o thing_n the_o more_o strange_a and_o astonish_a be_v this_o that_o god_n make_v nothing_o no_o not_o the_o least_o drop_n of_o rain_n nor_o the_o least_o grain_n of_o sand_n but_o for_o some_o excellent_a end_n and_o therefore_o must_v be_v suppose_v to_o have_v ordain_v this_o sacrament_n for_o the_o most_o noble_a end_n imaginable_a and_o if_o the_o effect_n he_o design_n by_o this_o ordinance_n be_v such_o as_o our_o liturgy_n tell_v we_o for_o than_o we_o spiritual_o eat_v the_o flesh_n of_o christ_n and_o drink_v his_o blood_n then_o we_o dwell_v in_o christ_n and_o christ_n in_o we_o we_o be_v one_o with_o christ_n and_o christ_n with_o we_o if_o these_o be_v the_o design_v and_o abundance_n of_o person_n must_v be_v for_o want_n of_o a_o suitable_a preparation_n vessel_n hold_v more_o or_o less_o water_n according_a to_o their_o capacity_n if_o the_o vessel_n be_v little_a it_o will_v hold_v but_o little_a and_o according_a to_o the_o disposition_n of_o our_o soul_n so_o we_o receive_v much_o or_o less_o or_o nothing_o at_o all_o in_o this_o sacrament_n and_o one_o of_o these_o excellent_a previous_a disposition_n be_v self-examination_n express_o enjoin_v by_o the_o apostle_n 1_o cor._n 11._o 28._o but_o let_v a_o man_n examine_v himself_o and_o so_o let_v he_o eat_v of_o that_o bread_n and_o drink_v of_o that_o cup._n ii_o though_o it_o be_v in_o a_o manner_n needless_a after_o i_o have_v lay_v down_o the_o apostle_n command_n to_o prove_v the_o necessity_n
