they_o both_o ascend_v and_o descend_v upon_o the_o son_n of_o man._n this_o they_o do_v as_o we_o may_v conceive_v of_o it_o upon_o a_o twofold_a account_n first_o in_o point_n of_o affection_n and_o singular_a love_n to_o christ_n second_o in_o point_n of_o duty_n and_o special_a obligation_n to_o christ_n in_o point_n of_o affection_n first_o of_o all_o and_o singular_a love_n to_o christ_n the_o angel_n they_o wait_v upon_o he_o for_o that_o as_o delight_v to_o be_v employ_v about_o he_o there_o be_v no_o such_o service_n as_o the_o service_n of_o love_n this_o have_v the_o excellence_n and_o pre-eminence_n of_o all_o other_o service_n whatsoever_o and_o this_o be_v the_o service_n of_o the_o angel_n to_o christ_n they_o be_v very_o well_o please_v and_o satisfy_v to_o be_v exercise_v and_o take_v up_o in_o it_o it_o be_v very_o natural_a and_o agreeable_a to_o they_o from_o their_o affection_n towards_o he_o second_o in_o point_n of_o engagement_n as_o he_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o head_n of_o angel_n and_o so_o he_o be_v call_v col._n 2_o 10._o the_o head_n of_o all_o principality_n and_o power_n and_o the_o angel_n do_v receive_v special_a benefit_n and_o advantage_n by_o christ_n though_o not_o as_o to_o matter_n of_o reconciliation_n yet_o as_o to_o matter_n of_o confirmation_n and_o preservation_n in_o that_o happy_a state_n and_o condition_n in_o which_o they_o be_v this_o benefit_n they_o owe_v to_o christ_n that_o whereas_o be_v creature_n of_o their_o own_o nature_n they_o may_v fall_v away_o as_o well_o as_o the_o rest_n of_o their_o fellow_n and_o may_v leave_v their_o first_o estate_n and_o habitation_n now_o they_o be_v settle_v and_o establish_v in_o it_o this_o they_o enjoy_v from_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o redeemer_n and_o while_o they_o do_v so_o they_o have_v very_o great_a cause_n to_o be_v observant_a of_o he_o and_o to_o yield_v all_o homage_n unto_o he_o which_z according_o they_o do_v that_o be_v the_o first_o mercy_n seat_n exod._n 25_o 17._o these_o cherubim_n be_v the_o angel_n and_o this_o mercy-seat_n it_o be_v christ_n who_o be_v the_o true_a propitiator_n these_o they_o look_v upon_o he_o with_o a_o reverence_n and_o adoration_n of_o he_o the_o other_o be_v of_o the_o veil_v of_o the_o tabernacle_n with_o the_o picture_n of_o cherubim_n round_o about_o it_o in_o exod._n 26_o 32._o whereby_o be_v signify_v the_o variety_n of_o angel_n attend_v upon_o the_o church_n this_o they_o be_v willing_a to_o do_v and_o it_o be_v no_o disparagement_n at_o all_o to_o they_o to_o do_v it_o thugh_o it_o be_v upon_o creature_n inferior_a to_o themselves_o because_o herein_o they_o be_v subservient_fw-fr to_o christ_n who_o the_o church_n be_v and_o they_o delight_v to_o do_v it_o for_o that_o reason_n thing_n they_o be_v concern_v to_o do_v so_o for_o their_o engagement_n though_o there_o be_v nothing_o else_o beside_o in_o it_o and_o so_o be_v god_n to_o do_v for_o his_o church_n whether_o he_o have_v make_v a_o covenant_n with_o all_o to_o this_o purpose_n it_o be_v so_o with_o god_n especial_o as_o to_o this_o people_n of_o israel_n and_o in_o particular_a as_o to_o this_o land_n of_o canaan_n so_o it_o be_v also_o to_o the_o whole_a church_n in_o general_n and_o to_o that_o land_n which_o have_v his_o church_n in_o it_o he_o take_v care_n of_o it_o from_o his_o covenant_n with_o it_o three_o from_o his_o interest_n and_o more_o peculiar_a concernment_n the_o lord_n take_v care_n of_o his_o church_n as_o that_o which_o he_o receive_v the_o great_a benefit_n and_o advantage_n from_o any_o other_o beside_o not_o in_o a_o strict_a sense_n but_o in_o a_o qualify_a and_o as_o he_o be_v please_v to_o account_v it_o god_n can_v be_v profit_v by_o man_n nor_o by_o any_o thing_n which_o come_v from_o he_o in_o a_o precise_a acception_n but_o yet_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o any_o place_n do_v more_o advance_v his_o worship_n and_o name_n and_o honour_n so_o far_o forth_o he_o denial_n of_o care_n for_o other_o first_o i_o say_v it_o have_v a_o inclusive_a emphasis_n as_o it_o do_v signify_v how_o god_n do_v indeed_o take_v care_n of_o it_o he_o care_v for_o it_o god_n have_v a_o common_a and_o ordinary_a care_n which_o he_o do_v exercise_n about_o all_o his_o creature_n as_o he_o be_v the_o maker_n and_o governor_n of_o they_o to_o keep_v they_o and_o preserve_v they_o in_o that_o be_v which_o he_o have_v bestow_v upon_o they_o but_o this_o be_v not_o all_o which_o he_o express_v towards_o his_o church_n he_o have_v another_o manner_n of_o care_n for_o that_o than_o this_o come_v to_o and_o he_o do_v manifest_v another_o kind_n of_o love_n and_o affection_n and_o tenderness_n towards_o it_o in_o his_o care_v for_o it_o in_o be_v a_o
