that_o they_o call_v god_n to_o witness_n that_o they_o conceal_v no_o truth_n nor_o utter_v any_o falsehood_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o desire_v the_o same_o god_n to_o be_v revenge_v of_o they_o and_o in_o this_o signification_n of_o swear_v it_o be_v to_o be_v take_v in_o this_o place_n because_o god_n in_o his_o concnant_n by_o oath_n do_v bind_v himself_o to_o be_v their_o god_n and_o to_o deliver_v they_o sometime_o to_o lift_v up_o the_o hand_n signify_v to_o show_v his_o power_n or_o strength_n either_o in_o deliver_v or_o punish_v or_o in_o hurt_v and_o strike_v which_o signification_n may_v also_o well_o serve_v in_o this_o chapter_n a_o land_n which_o flow_v with_o milk_n and_o honey_n 6._o and_o be_v pleasant_a among_o etc_n etc_n in_o many_o place_n of_o the_o scripture_n the_o land_n of_o chanaan_n be_v mention_v to_o flow_v with_o milk_n and_o honey_n that_o be_v to_o abound_v with_o all_o thing_n necessary_a not_o only_o for_o susteynance_n but_o also_o for_o delight_n and_o pleasure_n for_o in_o those_o day_n there_o be_v no_o more_o delectable_a feed_n then_o milk_n and_o hony._n s._n hierome_n who_o live_v a_o long_a time_n in_o that_o country_n so_o long_o as_o they_o be_v the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o remain_v in_o his_o obedience_n keep_v his_o law_n and_o ordinance_n for_o when_o they_o have_v reject_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o promise_a messiah_n it_o be_v likely_a the_o land_n itself_o also_o be_v strike_v for_o their_o wickedness_n and_o thereby_o far_o decay_v from_o that_o it_o be_v in_o time_n past_a but_o they_o rebel_v against_o i_o 8._o and_o will_v not_o harken_v to_o i_o they_o do_v etc_n etc_n it_o be_v a_o testimony_n of_o the_o great_a goodness_n &_o mercy_n of_o god_n that_o he_o call_v earnest_o to_o repentance_n before_o he_o strike_v and_o punish_v his_o people_n for_o their_o sin_n and_o so_o do_v he_o then_o to_o the_o israelite_n but_o they_o will_v not_o harken_v unto_o he_o nor_o do_v cast_v away_o the_o abomination_n of_o their_o eye_n that_o be_v their_o wicked_a idol_n on_o which_o they_o do_v cast_v their_o eye_n with_o great_a delight_n even_o as_o they_o that_o be_v in_o we_o may_v gather_v what_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o god_n do_v so_o long_o suffer_v his_o people_n to_o continue_v in_o so_o miserable_a oppression_n in_o egypt_n and_o do_v not_o soon_o turn_v his_o merciful_a sustenance_n toward_o they_o and_o that_o be_v because_o they_o have_v almost_o forget_v he_o and_o his_o true_a worship_n deliver_v they_o by_o their_o father_n and_o be_v give_v to_o 9_o that_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v pollute_v before_o etc_n etc_n i_o stay_v myself_o say_v god_n from_o extremity_n of_o my_o wrath_n and_o from_o work_v utter_a destruction_n not_o for_o my_o people_n sake_n which_o in_o deed_n have_v just_o deserve_v it_o but_o for_o my_o name_n sake_n that_o it_o may_v not_o be_v distain_v and_o evil_o speak_v of_o among_o the_o egyptian_n amalechites_n
