the_o first_o place_n be_v exclude_v from_o the_o new_a jerusalem_n rev._n 21._o 8._o in_o such_o a_o season_n all_o the_o arguing_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n will_v arise_v in_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n and_o be_v promote_v with_o many_o spècious_a pretence_n life_n liberty_n enjoyment_n in_o this_o world_n will_v all_o put_v in_o to_o be_v hear_v reserve_v concern_v their_o state_n in_o this_o frame_n with_o resolution_n to_o return_v unto_o their_o duty_n when_o the_o storm_n be_v over_o plea_n and_o argument_n that_o these_o assembly_n be_v not_o so_o necessary_a but_o that_o god_n will_v be_v merciful_a unto_o they_o in_o this_o thing_n all_o which_o and_o the_o like_a false_a reason_n do_v carry_v they_o away_o to_o ruin_v for_o notwithstanding_o all_o these_o vain_a plea_n the_o rule_n be_v peremptory_a against_o these_o person_n those_o who_o for_o their_o house_n land_n possession_n relation_n liberty_n life_n prefer_v they_o before_o christ_n and_o the_o duty_n which_o we_o owe_v to_o he_o and_o his_o glory_n have_v no_o interest_n in_o gospel_n promise_v whatever_o man_n pretend_v that_o they_o believe_v if_o they_o confess_v he_o not_o before_o man_n he_o will_v deny_v they_o before_o his_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n 2._o spiritual_a sloth_n with_o the_o occasion_n of_o this_o life_n be_v the_o cause_n in_o many_o of_o this_o sinful_a neglect_n weight_n that_o lie_v upon_o they_o they_o will_v fall_v under_o a_o woeful_a neglect_n as_o unto_o this_o and_o all_o other_o important_a duty_n such_o person_n as_o be_v influence_v by_o they_o will_v make_v use_n of_o many_o specious_a plea_n take_v for_o the_o most_o part_n from_o their_o occasion_n and_o necessity_n these_o thing_n they_o will_v plead_v with_o man_n and_o there_o be_v no_o contend_v with_o they_o but_o let_v they_o go_v to_o christ_n and_o plead_v they_o immediate_o unto_o himself_o and_o then_o ask_v of_o themselves_o how_o they_o suppose_v they_o be_v accept_v he_o require_v that_o we_o shall_v attend_v unto_o these_o assembly_n diligent_o as_o the_o principal_a way_n and_o mean_n of_o do_v that_o and_o observe_v that_o which_o he_o command_v we_o the_o certain_a indispensible_a rule_n of_o our_o obedience_n unto_o he_o will_v it_o be_v accept_v with_o he_o if_o in_o a_o neglect_n of_o that_o we_o shall_v say_v unto_o he_o we_o will_v have_v do_v where_o this_o be_v frequent_a and_o every_o trivial_a diversion_n be_v embrace_v unto_o a_o neglect_n of_o this_o duty_n the_o heart_n be_v not_o upright_o before_o god_n the_o man_n draw_v back_o in_o the_o way_n unto_o perdition_n 3._o unbelief_n work_v gradual_o towards_o the_o forsake_v of_o all_o profession_n this_o be_v the_o first_o way_n for_o the_o most_o part_n whereby_o a_o evil_a heart_n of_o unbelief_n in_o depart_v from_o the_o live_a god_n do_v evidence_n itself_o which_o the_o apostle_n on_o this_o consideration_n warn_v the_o hebrew_n of_o chap._n 3._o i_o say_v hereby_o jesus_n obseru._n christ._n the_o benefit_n we_o receive_v by_o they_o the_o danger_n of_o their_o neglect_n sense_n of_o the_o authority_n of_o christ_n concernment_n of_o his_o glory_n in_o they_o all_o their_o adversary_n this_o therefore_o be_v do_v also_o by_o these_o apostate_n before_o their_o apostasy_n but_o now_o be_v full_o fall_v off_o from_o christ_n and_o the_o gospel_n they_o open_o declare_v that_o there_o be_v no_o testimony_n in_o they_o unto_o the_o truth_n but_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v either_o diabolical_a delusion_n or_o fanatical_a misapprehension_n that_o indeed_o there_o be_v nothing_o of_o truth_n reality_n or_o power_n in_o they_o and_o therefore_o no_o argument_n to_o be_v take_v from_o they_o unto_o the_o confirmation_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n now_o this_o proceed_n from_o they_o who_o have_v once_o themselves_o make_v the_o same_o profession_n with_o other_o of_o their_o truth_n and_o reality_n give_v the_o deep_a wound_n that_o can_v be_v give_v unto_o the_o gospel_n for_o all_o the_o adversary_n of_o it_o who_o be_v silence_v with_o this_o public_a testimony_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o know_v not_o what_o to_o say_v consider_v the_o many_o miracle_n that_o be_v wrought_v do_v now_o strengthen_v themselves_o by_o the_o confession_n of_o these_o apostate_n that_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o it_o but_o pretence_n and_o who_o shall_v better_o know_v than_o those_o who_o have_v be_v of_o that_o society_n there_o be_v no_o such_o curse_a pernicious_a enemy_n unto_o religion_n as_o apostate_n include_v wrong_v with_o contempt_n and_o this_o they_o do_v upon_o a_o twofold_a account_n for_o 1._o the_o work_n many_o of_o they_o which_o he_o then_o wrought_v be_v eminent_a and_o evident_a effect_n of_o divine_a power_n and_o to_o ascribe_v such_o work_n unto_o another_o cause_n be_v to_o do_v despite_n unto_o he_o 2._o they_o do_v so_o principal_o in_o that_o by_o all_o his_o work_n and_o in_o the_o whole_a dispensation_n of_o he_o he_o give_v testimony_n unto_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n and_o what_o great_a despite_n and_o wrong_n can_v be_v do_v unto_o he_o then_o to_o question_v his_o truth_n and_o the_o veracity_n of_o his_o testimony_n no_o great_a despite_n can_v be_v do_v unto_o a_o man_n of_o any_o reputation_n than_o to_o question_v his_o truth_n and_o
