scripture_n shall_v be_v read_v explain_v and_o apply_v what_o utensil_n shall_v be_v employ_v in_o the_o celebration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o a_o multitude_n of_o such_o circumstance_n and_o modes_n of_o that_o kind_n be_v leave_v to_o human_a determination_n only_o therein_o the_o general_a rule_n of_o scripture_n must_v be_v regard_v now_o though_o
of_o god_n by_o image_n or_o any_o other_o way_n not_o appoint_v in_o his_o word_n and_o in_o your_o confession_n of_o faith_n chap._n 21._o n._n 1._o thus_o the_o acceptable_a way_n of_o worship_v the_o true_a god_n be_v institute_v by_o himself_o and_o so_o limit_v to_o his_o own_o reveal_v will_n that_o he_o may_v not_o be_v worship_v according_a to_o the_o imagination_n and_o devise_n of_o second_o there_o be_v no_o authority_n give_v to_o the_o example_n of_o holy_a man_n in_o scripture_n which_o be_v sufficient_a to_o warrant_v a_o religious_a practice_n in_o god_n worship_n though_o they_o do_v not_o amount_v to_o a_o appointment_n or_o prescription_n and_o be_v not_o always_o obligatory_a in_o short_a your_o catechism_n and_o confession_n of_o faith_n if_o we_o take_v they_o according_a to_o the_o letter_n make_v all_o way_n of_o worship_n unacceptable_a and_o unlawful_a that_o be_v not_o prescribe_v and_o appoint_v in_o scripture_n whereas_o my_o rule_n allow_v example_n and_o precedent_n of_o holy_a man_n to_o be_v a_o sufficient_a warrant_n i_o suppose_v and_o i_o think_v with_o reason_n that_o you_o understand_v this_o rule_n in_o your_o own_o catechism_n and_o plain_o discover_v by_o it_o that_o he_o have_v one_o rule_n for_o interpret_n the_o word_n of_o his_o own_o party_n and_o another_o for_o interpret_n those_o of_o his_o adversary_n but_o second_o i_o
