godly_a minister_n who_o office_n be_v to_o speak_v a_o word_n in_o season_n to_o those_o that_o be_v weary_a isa_n 50._o 4._o endeavour_v by_o the_o application_n of_o the_o promise_v to_o comfort_v they_o their_o soul_n refuse_v to_o be_v comfort_v they_o exclude_v themselves_o from_o have_v a_o right_a to_o christ_n and_o his_o promise_n though_o christ_n will_v not_o have_v they_o exclude_v they_o groundless_o contest_v that_o their_o name_n be_v write_v in_o the_o black_a book_n of_o reprobation_n and_o that_o all_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n be_v their_o portion_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o they_o live_v so_o uncomfortable_o and_o disconsolate_o in_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n now_o then_o for_o the_o help_n of_o such_o person_n who_o have_v a_o true_a title_n to_o the_o promise_n but_o know_v it_o not_o who_o walk_v in_o darkness_n and_o see_v no_o light_n who_o believe_v they_o be_v hypocrite_n when_o they_o be_v not_o and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o in_o christ_n when_o they_o be_v that_o i_o may_v be_v god_n instrument_n to_o enable_v such_o to_o make_v application_n of_o the_o precious_a promise_n unto_o their_o own_o soul_n in_o particular_a in_o the_o hour_n of_o trouble_n for_o their_o everlasting_a supportation_n and_o consolation_n i_o shall_v lay_v down_o these_o ensue_a rule_n and_o direction_n rule_n 1._o 1_o whosoever_o in_o a_o gospel-sense_n do_v obey_v the_o command_a word_n of_o god_n have_v promise_n the_o first_o rule_n for_o the_o right_a application_n of_o the_o promise_n a_o real_a interest_n in_o the_o promise_a undervalue_n and_o despise_v the_o command_a word_n you_o have_v no_o part_n no_o portion_n in_o the_o promise_a word_n but_o it_o may_v be_v a_o distress_a christian_a though_o without_o just_a cause_n will_v say_v that_o he_o be_v afraid_a that_o he_o do_v not_o sincere_o obey_v the_o command_a word_n and_o therefore_o dare_v not_o apply_v to_o himself_o the_o promise_a word_n wherefore_o
