now_o to_o call_v for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o service_n book_n and_o extol_v it_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o to_o temporise_v with_o popeling_n to_o emulate_v knowledge_n preach_v and_o write_v and_o to_o provide_v one_o nail_n to_o drive_v out_o another_o at_o least_o in_o such_o point_n as_o touch_v man_n corruption_n in_o doctrine_n and_o practice_v which_o be_v a_o sleight_n use_v of_o old_a by_o the_o romish_a clergy_n for_o when_o the_o prelate_n see_v preach_v discover_v their_o error_n and_o tyranny_n they_o to_o put_v off_o that_o and_o yet_o to_o seem_v no_o less_o religious_a fall_v to_o extol_v the_o use_n of_o their_o service_n and_o mass_n and_o cry_v out_o for_o devotion_n peace_n and_o obedience_n to_o the_o church_n and_o above_o all_o for_o prayer_n wherein_o divers_a flatter_a and_o ambitious_a preacher_n and_o even_o most_o of_o the_o english_a bishop_n themselves_o follow_v they_o apace_o and_o that_o in_o these_o day_n while_o man_n complain_v of_o corruption_n in_o the_o clergy_n and_o the_o increase_n of_o arminianism_n and_o popery_n witness_n dr._n cousens_n his_o cozen_a devotion_n approve_v by_o the_o bishop_n and_o divers_a sermon_n speech_n and_o practice_n of_o they_o to_o the_o like_a purpose_n but_o mark_v what_o god_n say_v he_o that_o turn_v away_o his_o ear_n from_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o law_n even_o his_o prayer_n can_v let_v the_o contrary_a doctrine_n pass_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o appealer_n dr._n jackson_n and_o other_o these_o trouble_v they_o not_o in_o a_o time_n when_o papist_n &_o arminian_o strive_v to_o infect_v prince_n &_o people_n with_o such_o pelagian_n and_o popish_a opinion_n god_n command_v to_o contend_v earnest_o for_o the_o faith_n which_o be_v once_o deliver_v to_o the_o saint_n 3_o jude._n 3_o they_o yet_o presume_v that_o it_o may_v be_v forbid_v in_o these_o case_n so_o the_o people_n be_v stir_v up_o to_o prayer_n peace_n and_o obedience_n to_o the_o church_n i_o teach_v and_o do_v not_o set_v the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n one_o against_o a_o other_o that_o be_v do_v not_o urge_v prayer_n as_o enemy_n of_o preach_v in_o many_o point_n like_o the_o papist_n norn_a emulation_n thereof_o as_o those_o that_o oppose_v prayer_n to_o preach_v to_o eat_v out_o knowledge_n and_o bring-in_a blind_a devotion_n these_o have_v but_o a_o form_n of_o godliness_n and_o scarce_o that_o we_o have_v need_v to_o pray_v continual_o that_o god_n will_v purge_v &_o rid_v the_o
