speak_v to_o god_n yet_o there_o be_v preacher_n rise_v late_o up_o which_o shroud_v every_o absurd_a sermon_n under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o simple_a kind_n of_o teach_v like_o the_o popish_a priest_n which_o make_v ignorance_n the_o mother_n of_o devotion_n but_o indeed_o to_o preach_v simple_o be_v not_o to_o preach_v unlearned_o nor_o confuse_o but_o plain_o and_o perspicuous_o that_o the_o simple_a which_o do_v hear_v may_v understand_v what_o be_v teach_v as_o if_o he_o do_v hear_v his_o name_n but_o if_o you_o will_v know_v why_o many_o preacher_n preach_v so_o bare_o loose_o &_o simple_o it_o be_v your_o own_o simplicity_n which_o make_v they_o think_v that_o if_o they_o go_v on_o and_o say_v something_o all_o be_v one_o and_o no_o fault_n will_v be_v find_v because_o you_o be_v not_o able_a to_o judge_v in_o or_o out_o and_o so_o because_o they_o give_v no_o attendance_n to_o doctrine_n as_o paul_n teach_v they_o it_o be_v almost_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o in_o vanity_n be_v a_o prattler_n a_o disturber_n and_o a_o arch-pustan_a â—_o by_o the_o law_n which_o the_o jew_n have_v to_o kill_v christ_n the_o reason_n be_v 1._o because_o man_n can_v abide_v to_o be_v control_v of_o their_o pleasure_n therefore_o they_o hold_v it_o be_v a_o offence_n to_o speak_v against_o their_o sport_n or_o their_o custom_n or_o their_o folly_n or_o their_o pleasure_n or_o their_o title_n or_o their_o toy_n and_o they_o which_o will_v not_o be_v count_v precise_a in_o these_o time_n must_v take_v heed_n that_o they_o go_v not_o so_o far_o as_o solomon_n to_o term_v all_o vanity_n but_o they_o must_v say_v that_o the_o vanity_n of_o great_a man_n be_v necessary_a recreation_n &_o the_o vanity_n of_o the_o people_n be_v mean_n to_o make_v unity_n great_a book_n be_v write_v to_o maintain_v this_o than_o solomon_n make_v to_o refute_v it_o so_o they_o have_v make_v their_o wit_n and_o their_o learning_n vanity_n and_o be_v vain_a in_o print_n but_o they_o that_o will_v know_v now_o of_o what_o stand_v such_o precise_a reproover_n be_v and_o how_o ancient_a this_o reproof_n be_v may_v see_v here_o that_o if_o this_o be_v a_o crime_n to_o call_v vanity_n we_o follow_v will_v make_v we_o like_o themselves_o and_o lead_v we_o whether_o they_o belong_v to_o heaven_n or_o hell_n in_o rom._n 8._o 20._o vanity_n be_v put_v for_o destruction_n but_o it_o be_v never_o put_v for_o salvation_n if_o other_o creature_n be_v subject_a to_o a_o kind_n of_o destruction_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n as_o paul_n show_v what_o destruction_n shall_v light_v upon_o man_n for_o his_o own_o sin_n therefore_o let_v our_o sentence_n run_v with_o solomon_n vanity_n of_o vanity_n all_o be_v vanity_n we_o can_v afford_v the_o world_n better_a word_n and_o fair_a how_o it_o will_v serve_v you_o they_o seem_v pleasant_a vanity_n and_o honest_a vanity_n and_o profitable_a vanity_n 6._o but_o david_n call_v they_o deceitful_a vanity_n 8._o jonas_n come_v after_o &_o call_v they_o lie_v vanity_n that_o be_v which_o promise_v pleasure_n and_o profit_n and_o all_o but_o deceive_v all_o when_o they_o shall_v perform_v they_o play_v laban_n which_o give_v leah_n solomon_n and_o may_v be_v preacher_n unto_o other_o thus_o i_o have_v show_v unto_o you_o as_o it_o be_v a_o limb_n of_o vanity_n you_o may_v look_v about_o you_o and_o see_v the_o whole_a body_n for_o if_o she_o be_v any_o where_o in_o this_o land_n this_o be_v her_o pontisical_a seat_n where_o she_o be_v never_o nonresident_a now_o i_o will_v leave_v you_o to_o examine_v these_o say_n whether_o all_o thing_n have_v not_o be_v in_o vain_a unto_o you_o yet_o if_o they_o have_v be_v vain_a to_o you_o and_o yet_o be_v good_a in_o their_o own_o nature_n then_o think_v how_o vain_a you_o be_v who_o have_v turn_v so_o many_o good_a thing_n to_o vanity_n yet_o to_o set_v you_o in_o the_o way_n before_o i_o end_n i_o will_v answer_v they_o which_o ask_v if_o all_o thing_n be_v vanity_n as_o solomon_n say_v 10._o tell_v we_o what_o we_o shall_v choose_v that_o we_o be_v not_o vain_a christ_n say_v that_o one_o thing_n be_v necessary_a be_v solomon_n contrary_a to_o christ_n no_o
