even_o in_o thing_n appertain_v to_o god_n wherefore_o thing_n ordain_v by_o they_o as_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n have_v neither_o strength_n nor_o authority_n unless_o it_o may_v be_v declare_v that_o they_o be_v take_v out_o of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n therefore_o this_o invention_n of_o sprinkle_v infant_n with_o godfather_n and_o godmother_n be_v not_o take_v out_o of_o the_o put_v off_o by_o the_o circumcision_n of_o christ_n coll._n 2._o 11._o so_o whether_o the_o apostle_n testimony_n or_o the_o priest_n testimony_n be_v according_a to_o the_o scripture_n let_v the_o honest_a heart_n judge_n in_o the_o collect_n for_o the_o first_o sunday_n in_o lent_n they_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o give_v they_o grace_n to_o use_v such_o abstinence_n that_o their_o flesh_n be_v subdue_v to_o the_o spirit_n they_o may_v ever_o obey_v his_o godly_a motion_n herein_o they_o seem_v to_o own_o the_o spirit_n motion_n in_o word_n which_o they_o do_v and_o have_v so_o long_o cry_v against_o scoff_v and_o scorn_v they_o who_o witness_v this_o spirit_n to_o lead_v they_o call_v it_o error_n and_o heresy_n in_o the_o quaker_n thus_o to_o affirm_v though_o they_o read_v these_o their_o own_o gain_n they_o may_v read_v it_o outward_o yet_o it_o be_v manifest_o see_v that_o these_o blind_a guide_n be_v more_o for_o the_o promote_a of_o superstitious_a ceremony_n in_o the_o say_a book_n which_o have_v no_o ground_n nor_o proof_n in_o the_o scripture_n and_o so_o by_o the_o 20._o and_o 21_o article_n of_o the_o book_n of_o canon_n be_v declare_v to_o be_v of_o no_o force_n nor_o strength_n yea_o far_o more_o than_o the_o testify_a and_o vindicate_v the_o sound_a fundamental_a truth_n therein_o which_o be_v collect_v out_o of_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n which_o the_o quaker_n both_o own_o and_o practice_v in_o life_n doctrine_n and_o conversation_n which_o light_n be_v follow_v and_o regard_v will_v lead_v people_n to_o life_n and_o salvation_n if_o these_o man_n be_v from_o believe_v what_o they_o here_o desire_v for_o if_o man_n by_o the_o light_n of_o god_n shine_v within_o their_o heart_n can_v go_v all_o their_o life_n space_n without_o stumble_v or_o offence_n why_o be_v the_o quaker_n persecute_v for_o hold_v forth_o this_o light_n for_o all_o people_n to_o be_v guide_v by_o do_v we_o think_v that_o the_o common-prayer_n reader_n themselves_o do_v in_o principle_n and_o practice_n and_o therefore_o for_o shame_n give_v over_o persecute_v of_o they_o and_o reprove_v the_o priest_n for_o their_o confusion_n and_o hypocrisy_n
