together_o they_o be_v set_v one_o over_o against_o the_o other_o if_o you_o part_v the_o work_n of_o god_n you_o will_v find_v no_o beauty_n nor_o sweetness_n in_o the_o consideration_n of_o they_o but_o put_v all_o together_o the_o design_n and_o end_n of_o the_o work_n and_o the_o whollness_n of_o the_o work_n give_v a_o beauty_n to_o it_o take_v heed_n therefore_o that_o you_o do_v separate_v between_o piece_n and_o piece_n but_o carry_v all_o together_o and_o the_o end_n thereof_o three_o if_o you_o will_v meditate_v on_o god_n in_o reference_n to_o his_o work_n be_v sure_a of_o this_o of_o god_n the_o work_n and_o way_n of_o meditation_n serm._n viii_o have_v show_v how_o sweet_a and_o profitable_a the_o work_n of_o meditation_n be_v to_o meditate_v on_o god_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n we_o come_v the_o last_o day_n to_o this_o question_n or_o objection_n but_o if_o the_o work_n of_o meditation_n be_v so_o sweet_a and_o profitable_a what_o shall_v we_o do_v that_o this_o work_n of_o meditaon_n may_v be_v carry_v on_o with_o sweetness_n and_o profit_n i_o be_o a_o stranger_n to_o this_o work_n of_o meditation_n i_o have_v often_o read_v the_o scripture_n and_o not_o meditate_a on_o they_o i_o have_v often_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o not_o meditate_a thereon_o i_o have_v sometime_o begin_v to_o meditate_v but_o find_v it_o a_o hard_a work_n i_o have_v leave_v it_o off_o again_o and_o sometime_o i_o have_v think_v that_o this_o work_n be_v incumbent_a only_o upon_o student_n and_o preacher_n but_o if_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o meditate_v on_o god_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n what_o shall_v we_o do_v that_o the_o work_n of_o holy_a meditation_n may_v be_v carry_v on_o with_o profit_n and_o with_o sweetness_n for_o answer_v hereunto_o four_o or_o five_o thing_n i_o shall_v speak_v unto_o first_o i_o shall_v labour_v to_o show_v you_o that_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o meditate_v on_o god_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n 2._o that_o this_o work_n of_o meditation_n be_v every_o man_n work_n and_o every_o day_n work_n and_o such_o a_o work_n as_o be_v consistent_a wiâ—h_v euâ—ry_o business_n and_o condition_n 3._o i_o shall_v lay_v down_o some_o mean_n for_o the_o right_a performance_n of_o this_o work_n 4._o give_v you_o some_o rule_n and_o direction_n how_o this_o work_n of_o meditation_n shall_v be_v carry_v on_o with_o sweetness_n attribute_n of_o god_n why_o it_o be_v our_o work_n and_o duty_n so_o to_o meditate_v on_o god_n for_o wicked_a man_n be_v blame_v that_o god_n be_v not_o in_o all_o their_o thought_n if_o they_o be_v blame_v for_o this_o that_o god_n be_v not_o in_o all_o their_o thought_n then_o sure_o god_n be_v to_o be_v in_o all_o our_o thought_n good_a and_o holy_a man_n be_v commend_v and_o reward_v for_o this_o they_o that_o fear_v the_o lord_n speak_v often_o one_o to_o another_o and_o a_o book_n of_o remembrance_n be_v write_v for_o they_o that_o fear_v the_o lord_n and_o that_o think_v on_o his_o name_n they_o be_v commend_v and_o they_o be_v reward_v in_o the_o day_n when_o god_n make_v up_o his_o jewel_n they_o shall_v be_v find_v among_o they_o mal._n 3._o and_o who_o do_v not_o know_v that_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o praise_v the_o lord_n not_o only_o to_o be_v thankful_a to_o god_n upon_o the_o account_n of_o benefit_n receive_v but_o to_o praâ—se_v the_o lord_n upon_o the_o account_n of_o his_o own_o excellency_n and_o how_o shall_v the_o heart_n be_v tune_v and_o frame_v unto_o this_o praise_n of_o god_n but_o by_o meditation_n on_o the_o name_n and_o nature_n and_o title_n of_o god_n psal_n 48._o great_a be_v the_o lord_n and_o great_o to_o be_v praise_v v_o â—_o how_o do_v he_o tune_v his_o heart_n to_o this_o praise_n we_o have_v thâ—ught_v of_o thy_o love_a
