the_o great_a glory_n which_o god_n have_v be_v from_o his_o spiritual_a action_n man_n be_v not_o a_o mute_a preacher_n of_o god_n glory_n as_o the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n the_o sun_n moon_n and_o star_n be_v or_o brute_n creature_n be_v he_o have_v a_o soul_n and_o understanding_n will_n affection_n from_o these_o god_n expect_v a_o great_a homage_n and_o glory_n but_o now_o take_v man_n in_o his_o deprave_a estate_n and_o he_o do_v nothing_o less_o no_o creature_n but_o the_o evil_a angel_n so_o much_o
they_o under_o some_o restraint_n as_o to_o those_o horrible_a sin_n of_o murder_n persecution_n defile_v their_o neighbour_n wife_n etc._n etc._n to_o consider_v that_o these_o be_v some_o of_o the_o sin_n which_o go_v ordinary_o beforehand_o to_o judgement_n and_o which_o god_n usual_o revenge_v by_o some_o special_a remarkable_a providence_n in_o this_o life_n but_o it_o be_v time_n to_o finish_v this_o discourse_n let_v we_o beg_v god_n blessing_n upon_o it_o sermon_n xxiii_o psal_n cvii_o 43._o whoso_o be_v wise_a and_o will_v observe_v these_o thing_n even_o they_o shall_v admirable_a and_o observable_a thing_n of_o divine_a providence_n but_o leave_v preface_n i_o proceed_v to_o a_o nine_o observation_n which_o be_v this_o observe_v 9_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n often_o repay_v both_o good_a and_o evil_n and_o especial_o charity_n and_o cruelty_n in_o this_o life_n in_o its_o own_o kind_n 1_o cor._n 3.8_o 2_o cor._n 5.10_o that_o god_n will_v reward_v every_o man_n according_a to_o his_o work_n be_v most_o certain_a and_o be_v a_o piece_n of_o divine_a justice_n he_o can_v condemn_v the_o innocent_a nor_o clear_v the_o guilty_a there_o will_v be_v a_o now_o when_o god_n will_v visit_v for_o all_o sin_n and_o though_o sinner_n do_v evil_a a_o hundred_o year_n yet_o the_o day_n of_o vengeance_n will_v come_v and_o to_o let_v we_o know_v the_o certainty_n of_o it_o oftentimes_o the_o prophet_n of_o god_n in_o the_o denounce_v of_o judgement_n yet_o a_o far_o off_o cry_v out_o it_o be_v come_v it_o be_v come_v and_o give_v the_o alarm_n as_o if_o the_o enemy_n have_v already_o enter_v the_o gate_n but_o god_n do_v not_o recompense_v all_o sinner_n in_o this_o life_n judgement_n come_v afterward_o but_o for_o those_o who_o god_n do_v chastise_v in_o this_o life_n he_o do_v not_o punish_v they_o all_o the_o same_o way_n some_o be_v punish_v with_o temporal_a judgement_n and_o those_o some_o of_o they_o of_o one_o sort_n some_o of_o another_o other_o he_o punish_v with_o spiritual_a judgement_n blindness_n of_o mind_n hardness_n of_o heart_n and_o it_o be_v the_o same_o case_n for_o reward_n of_o grace_n some_o have_v little_a reward_n for_o all_o their_o service_n for_o god_n until_o they_o come_v in_o heaven_n other_o be_v reward_v in_o this_o life_n but_o in_o different_a manner_n the_o observation_n which_o i_o be_o make_v concern_v charity_n and_o mercy_n and_o the_o vice_n opposite_a to_o it_o such_o as_o be_v cruelty_n hardheartedness_n to_o those_o in_o want_n and_o misery_n in_o these_o case_n i_o observe_v god_n providence_n often_o retaliate_v i_o say_v 1._o the_o providence_n of_o god_n do_v often_o recompense_v other_o sin_n in_o this_o manner_n but_o especial_o sin_n against_o charity_n and_o punishment_n there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n betwixt_o be_v save_v smooth_o and_o a_o be_v save_v but_o through_o fire_n o_o let_v i_o plead_v with_o you_o who_o have_v little_a else_o to_o say_v for_o the_o care_n and_o pain_n of_o your_o youth_n but_o that_o by_o it_o you_o be_v but_o provide_v quiet_a and_o rest_n for_o yourselves_o when_o you_o come_v to_o be_v old_a
