king_n be_v bind_v to_o read_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n all_o the_o day_n of_o his_o life_n and_o yet_o he_o may_v and_o be_v to_o do_v other_o thing_n beside_o read_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n and_o might_n without_o sin_n read_v in_o other_o book_n daily_o beside_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n affirmative_a precept_n bound_v semper_fw-la but_o not_o ad_fw-la semper_fw-la and_o so_o though_o we_o shall_v say_v it_o be_v a_o commandment_n of_o christ_n when_o you_o pray_v say_v etc._n etc._n as_o it_o look_v more_o like_o a_o precept_n injunction_n or_o command_v than_o a_o after_o this_o manner_n pray_v you_o our_o father_n etc._n etc._n and_o because_o i_o read_v that_o the_o apostle_n pray_v other_o prayer_n act_n 4.24_o 25._o and_o in_o many_o other_o scripture_n the_o consecration_n of_o the_o element_n in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n 63._o hieron_n adversus_fw-la pelag._n greg_n l._n 7_o â—p_n 63._o again_o it_o follow_v not_o because_o the_o scripture_n be_v silent_a as_o to_o the_o apostle_n practice_v whether_o they_o use_v or_o not_o use_v the_o lord_n prayer_n that_o therefore_o they_o do_v not_o use_v it_o at_o all_o to_o plough_v a_o little_a as_o to_o the_o substance_n of_o what_o i_o say_v with_o monsieur_fw-fr de_fw-fr spaign'_v heifer_n in_o answer_n to_o this_o objection_n we_o never_o read_v that_o the_o they_o to_o do_v so_o because_o our_o saviour_n say_v go_v teach_v all_o nation_n baptise_v they_o in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o father_n of_o the_o son_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n i_o conclude_v that_o they_o may_v lawful_o and_o so_o may_v we_o now_o use_v that_o very_a form_n of_o word_n in_o baptism_n notwithstanding_o that_o i_o read_v not_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n of_o any_o baptize_v in_o that_o form_n but_o the_o scripture_n speak_v express_o of_o some_o who_o be_v baptize_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n either_o by_o some_o of_o john_n disciple_n or_o by_o the_o apostle_n paul_n act_v 19.5_o but_o it_o no_o where_o record_n the_o baptism_n of_o any_o express_o in_o the_o other_o form_n now_o because_o of_o this_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n i_o collect_v they_o sin_v not_o who_o baptize_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o because_o of_o christ_n command_n mat._n 28._o latter_a end_n i_o believe_v it_o very_o lawful_a to_o baptize_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o father_n the_o son_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o that_o it_o be_v now_o lawful_a and_o i_o think_v most_o expedient_a at_o least_o to_o say_v no_o more_o to_o baptize_v now_o in_o this_o same_o form_n of_o the_o father_n the_o son_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o so_o in_o the_o present_a case_n although_o i_o read_v not_o in_o scripture_n that_o the_o disciple_n do_v use_v the_o lord_n prayer_n for_o a_o prayer_n yet_o it_o seem_v very_o strange_a if_o they_o never_o shall_v our_o saviour_n speak_v so_o express_o when_o you_o pray_v say_v our_o father_n etc._n etc._n yet_o i_o judge_v it_o lawful_a for_o they_o and_o so_o for_o we_o to_o use_v it_o because_o of_o this_o text_n yea_o i_o will_v add_v that_o put_v the_o case_n those_o who_o have_v the_o extraordinary_a miraculous_a assistance_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o pray_v do_v not_o actual_o use_v this_o very_a form_n yet_o i_o think_v it_o lawful_a and_o expedient_a for_o we_o to_o use_v it_o who_o have_v necessary_o no_o such_o infallible_a assistance_n and_o guidance_n in_o our_o prayer_n obj._n but_o the_o evangelist_n matthew_n chap._n 6.16_o and_o this_o evangelist_n luke_n here_o set_v down_o the_o lord_n prayer_n with_o some_o difference_n in_o the_o one_o it_o be_v forgive_v we_o our_o sin_n for_o we_o also_o forgive_v every_o one_o that_o be_v indebt_v to_o we_o in_o the_o other_o it_o be_v forgive_v we_o our_o debt_n as_o we_o forgive_v our_o debtor_n in_o the_o one_o for_o thou_o be_v the_o kingdom_n the_o power_n and_o the_o glory_n for_o ever_o be_v add_v to_o the_o petition_n in_o the_o other_o it_o be_v omit_v from_o hence_o it_o may_v be_v gather_v that_o we_o be_v not_o to_o use_v the_o very_a word_n for_o if_o so_o which_o form_n shall_v we_o follow_v ans_fw-fr i_o answer_v with_o mr._n de_fw-fr spaign_n the_o evangelist_n and_o the_o apostle_n paul_n relate_v christ_n word_n in_o the_o celebration_n of_o the_o lord_n
