worthy_a lest_o he_o judge_v that_o nought_o which_o god_n accept_v &_o take_v for_o good_a or_o that_o for_o good_a which_o of_o itself_o be_v stark_o nought_o 12._o therefore_o oh_o thou_o vain_a man_n what_o soever_o thou_o be_v the_o boast_v thyself_o in_o the_o act_n &_o holiness_n of_o thine_o own_o life_n and_o condemn_v another_o man_n in_o his_o do_n thou_o very_o be_v to_o rash_a in_o judgement_n and_o in_o great_a danger_n of_o god_n indignation_n for_o in_o that_o thou_o condemn_v another_o man_n thou_o just_o also_o condemn_v thyself_o because_o thou_o do_v even_o the_o same_o conjecture_n or_o doubtful_a case_n but_o according_a to_o truth_n and_o most_o certain_a knowledge_n as_o he_o be_v almighty_a and_o a_o god_n of_o truth_n therefore_o oh_o thou_o gentile_a for_o even_o thou_o doâ—_n i_o mean_v all_o this_o while_n judgement_n and_o speak_v unto_o thou_o even_o in_o the_o vowel_n of_o chryst_n that_o thou_o diligent_o take_v heed_n lest_o through_o pride_n in_o thyself_o thou_o over_o rash_o condemn_v the_o poor_a and_o unhappy_a jew_n which_o be_v now_o fall_v into_o the_o aforesaid_a abominable_a vice_n for_o assure_v thyself_o in_o condemn_v the_o jew_n thou_o do_v not_o only_o give_v sentence_n against_o thine_o own_o self_n because_o thou_o comitte_v even_o the_o same_o fault_n but_o shall_v be_v sure_a also_o to_o abide_v the_o judgement_n displeasure_n of_o he_o in_o this_o world_n and_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v who_o respect_v no_o person_n and_o who_o thou_o haste_v to_o grievous_o offend_v or_o do_v thou_o think_v it_o convenient_a to_o avoid_v the_o just_a judgement_n of_o god_n see_v thou_o will_v suffer_v no_o man_n to_o avoid_v thy_o judgement_n which_o offend_v thou_o or_o do_v the_o softness_n of_o our_o lord_n in_o leave_v thou_o unpunished_a for_o a_o time_n give_v thou_o occasion_n to_o contemn_v and_o despise_v he_o as_o though_o he_o do_v wink_v at_o thy_o sin_n or_o favour_v thou_o in_o the_o do_n of_o they_o thou_o shall_v rather_o revolve_v with_o thyself_o that_o his_o softness_n merciful_a lenity_n long_o suffer_v and_o great_a gentleness_n do_v not_o put_v away_o from_o thou_o his_o justice_n sharp_a judgement_n and_o punishment_n 17._o but_o meek_o and_o gentle_o allure_v thou_o unto_o himself_o and_o draw_v thou_o thereby_o to_o hearty_a and_o true_a repentance_n and_o use_v unto_o thou_o first_o his_o gentleness_n to_o the_o end_n that_o for_o his_o sake_n again_o with_o like_a virtue_n thou_o shall_v begin_v to_o hate_v and_o reform_v thyself_o but_o thou_o do_v all_o most_o upright_o according_a to_o his_o due_a desert_n to_o some_o he_o will_v give_v everlasting_a life_n that_o be_v to_o all_o those_o which_o persevere_v in_o godly_a life_n and_o conversation_n do_v not_o hunt_v after_o the_o corrupt_a frail_a and_o vain_a pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n but_o do_v seek_v after_o the_o true_a glory_n honour_n of_o god_n &_o immortality_n and_o to_o some_o which_o in_o their_o pride_n and_o stateliness_n have_v rather_o obey_v to_o injustice_n than_o to_o true_a righteousness_n to_o lie_v untruth_n &_o superstition_n 1._o than_o to_o the_o truth_n and_o holiness_n of_o god_n commandment_n shall_v be_v give_v the_o reward_n of_o indignation_n the_o ire_n of_o god_n the_o affliction_n and_o torment_v of_o the_o devil_n and_o of_o a_o gnaw_a and_o damn_a conscience_n which_o punishment_n abide_v indifferent_o all_o man_n that_o careless_o live_v to_o offend_v but_o first_o of_o all_o the_o jew_n and_o then_o the_o gentile_a that_o the_o jew_n may_v have_v the_o first_o plague_n and_o punishment_n which_o first_o of_o all_o other_o have_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n offer_v unto_o he_o contrariwise_o glory_n honour_n peace_n and_o immortality_n shall_v be_v give_v indifferent_o unto_o all_o man_n that_o embrace_v god_n will_v and_o live_v well_o but_o first_o unto_o abraham_n and_o to_o the_o jew_n 2._o and_o after_o to_o the_o gentile_a for_o god_n have_v no_o respect_n to_o person_n as_o other_o judge_n of_o the_o world_n have_v but_o he_o be_v perfect_o just_a upright_o and_o true_o indifferent_a to_o all_o man_n but_o they_o which_o in_o christ_n do_v the_o act_n and_o deed_n of_o the_o law_n shall_v be_v before_o he_o justify_v and_o impute_v righteous_a god_n only_o himself_o be_v all_o goodness_n and_o therefore_o he_o most_o allow_v and_o approve_v the_o good_a work_v of_o man_n though_o there_o be_v among_o they_o punishment_n no_o law_n at_o all_o write_v and_o the_o displeasure_n of_o god_n be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o over_o they_o which_o have_v a_o law_n because_o they_o frame_v not_o their_o life_n according_a to_o the_o law_n how_o be_v it_o it_o can_v be_v true_o say_v that_o there_o be_v man_n which_o live_v to_o themselves_o without_o law_n for_o all_o nation_n that_o be_v though_o they_o have_v not_o the_o write_a law_n of_o moses_n yet_o they_o do_v in_o effect_v the_o work_n of_o moses_n law_n because_o they_o have_v the_o law_n of_o nature_n graft_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o what_o so_o ever_o thing_n be_v command_v and_o do_v under_o the_o law_n by_o they_o that_o have_v it_o write_v in_o book_n and_o table_n the_o same_o do_v they_o also_o which_o have_v the_o law_n of_o nature_n graft_v in_o their_o heart_n for_o all_o such_o their_o own_o conscience_n do_v secret_o save_v or_o condemn_v they_o they_o have_v cogitation_n and_o thought_n within_o themselves_o 25._o that_o daily_o do_v both_o accuse_v and_o excuse_v they_o god_n shall_v judge_v all_o these_o according_a to_o the_o same_o secret_a law_n of_o nature_n which_o though_o it_o be_v not_o now_o open_o know_v
and_o to_o all_o his_o offspring_n we_o be_v also_o by_o chryst_n take_v out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o darkness_n and_o place_v through_o his_o only_a desert_n in_o the_o clear_a light_n and_o in_o the_o most_o glorious_a kingdom_n of_o our_o eternal_a and_o love_a god_n in_o this_o manner_n pass_v now_o further_o on_o my_o purpose_n the_o gentle_a reader_n shall_v take_v the_o special_a meaning_n of_o the_o holy_a apostle_n in_o his_o epistle_n on_o this_o wise_n which_o be_v that_o all_o true_a christian_a man_n must_v whole_o depend_v upon_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n through_o his_o the_o fruit_n that_o be_v most_o lawful_o of_o god_n forbid_v he_o all_o which_o proud_a attempter_n may_v be_v well_o assure_v to_o abide_v also_o the_o like_a curse_n that_o be_v give_v to_o adam_n of_o their_o pride_n blindness_n and_o disobedience_n and_o only_o refer_v it_o to_o our_o merciful_a god_n himself_o through_o the_o only_a faith_n and_o belief_n due_a from_o they_o to_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n who_o only_o satisfy_v the_o truth_n and_o justice_n of_o god_o in_o this_o point_n which_o say_v unto_o adam_n in_o what_o so_o ever_o hour_n thou_o eat_v of_o the_o fruit_n thou_o shall_v sure_o die_v the_o death_n by_o which_o only_a satisfaction_n of_o chryst_n all_o man_n even_o as_o adam_n be_v reconcile_v again_o unto_o god_n the_o father_n their_o sin_n free_o remit_v and_o come_v bold_o again_o to_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o majesty_n and_o not_o by_o our_o own_o device_n and_o foolish_a invention_n as_o the_o more_o pity_n it_o be_v many_o man_n most_o blind_o do_v that_o bear_v at_o this_o day_n the_o name_n of_o christian_n wherefore_o in_o as_o much_o as_o it_o be_v then_o conclude_v that_o chryst_n be_v the_o very_a perfect_v way_n to_o adam_n be_v this_o law_n proclaim_v by_o the_o patriarch_n moses_n write_v and_o set_v forth_o in_o table_n and_o book_n to_o the_o end_n that_o by_o the_o straitness_n thereof_o all_o man_n may_v know_v not_o only_o the_o great_a mercy_n of_o god_n over_o they_o but_o also_o their_o own_o naughty_a nature_n weakness_n blindness_n and_o miserable_a state_n through_o their_o disobedience_n and_o in_o effect_n amongst_o christian_a man_n inasmuch_o as_o now_o the_o very_a truth_n and_o thing_n itself_o be_v already_o come_v and_o shine_v amongst_o we_o which_o they_o before_o only_o although_o with_o most_o simple_a and_o very_a slender_a clothing_n which_o he_o then_o according_o but_o little_a trust_v unto_o like_a as_o it_o be_v all_o unprofitable_a that_o man_n of_o his_o own_o brain_n will_v devise_v to_o cloak_v his_o sin_n with_o all_o although_o both_o he_o and_o he_o make_v fly_v never_o so_o fast_o from_o the_o face_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o seek_v mean_n to_o hide_v themselves_o but_o yet_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o say_a disobedience_n haughty_a and_o proud_a stubbornness_n of_o adam_n which_o after_o he_o have_v most_o wretched_o offend_v choose_v rather_o to_o hide_v himself_o from_o god_n than_o meek_o to_o acknowledge_v his_o fault_n before_o he_o the_o love_a lord_n be_v strike_v so_o full_a of_o compassion_n and_o mercy_n towards_o man_n his_o simple_a naked_a and_o poor_a creature_n that_o he_o quick_o follow_v and_o hasten_v himself_o after_o that_o fugitive_n and_o runagate_n find_v he_o quick_o but_o confer_v most_o mild_o with_o he_o put_v he_o in_o mind_n of_o his_o decay_n great_a misery_n and_o the_o happy_a life_n that_o he_o miserable_o have_v fall_v from_o and_o say_v on_o this_o wise_a to_o he_o adam_n where_o be_v and_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o all_o creature_n superstition_n of_o itself_o be_v contentious_a and_o full_a of_o debate_n but_o the_o true_a worship_v of_o god_n be_v full_a of_o tranquillity_n peace_n and_o quietness_n neither_o can_v it_o be_v any_o marvel_n at_o all_o to_o see_v so_o much_o contention_n amongst_o man_n for_o keep_v of_o such_o superstition_n of_o the_o law_n consider_v the_o same_o be_v never_o at_o one_o with_o god_n himself_o for_o it_o be_v none_o other_o thing_n but_o to_o adhere_v and_o stick_v fast_a to_o the_o carnal_a and_o gross_a law_n which_o god_n rather_o will_v to_o be_v make_v annihilate_v and_o of_o none_o effect_n amongst_o man_n and_o that_o by_o his_o son_n jesus_n chryst_n to_o the_o end_n that_o in_o the_o place_n thereof_o shall_v succeed_v the_o law_n spiritual_a than_o to_o be_v by_o such_o contention_n at_o defiance_n with_o god._n law_n for_o he_o that_o be_v affectionate_a to_o the_o law_n which_o so_o much_o dissent_v from_o the_o mind_n and_o will_n of_o god_n can_v not_o be_v but_o clean_a repugnant_a and_o contrary_a to_o he_o for_o so_o much_o as_o his_o only_a will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v we_o shall_v dwell_v in_o our_o heart_n than_o inasmuch_o as_o chryst_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o charity_n truth_n temperance_n and_o all_o other_o virtue_n how_o shall_v there_o then_o be_v any_o place_n according_a to_o our_o godly_a nature_n and_o inclination_n will_v work_v with_o mercy_n that_o thing_n in_o we_o which_o do_v most_o mighty_o work_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n it_o restore_v he_o again_o from_o death_n unto_o life_n and_o will_v suffer_v he_o to_o die_v no_o more_o even_o so_o it_o will_v call_v we_o back_o again_o from_o our_o sin_n which_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o our_o death_n and_o give_v we_o light_o to_o avoid_v all_o wickedness_n and_o to_o live_v henceforth_o a_o devout_a and_o most_o godly_a life_n therefore_o all_o we_o live_v to_o this_o spirit_n be_v bind_v to_o this_o spirit_n and_o owe_v due_a obedience_n thereunto_o and_o not_o to_o our_o flesh_n unto_o which_o we_o be_v already_o dead_a it_o for_o after_o we_o become_v to_o be_v be_v loath_a or_o that_o you_o shall_v with_o god_n be_v in_o better_a case_n than_o they_o jew_n likewise_o also_o in_o this_o manner_n though_o i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o save_v they_o all_o yet_o i_o most_o hearty_o pray_v you_o that_o by_o your_o good_a example_n of_o faith_n and_o holy_a life_n which_o you_o have_v promise_v to_o perform_v before_o god_n i_o may_v seem_v to_o bring_v some_o of_o they_o to_o goodness_n again_o and_o i_o do_v not_o doubt_v of_o you_o but_o you_o will_v all_o wish_v and_o desire_v the_o same_o thing_n with_o i_o for_o if_o the_o rejection_n now_o of_o the_o jew_n have_v be_v the_o occasion_n that_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o world_n be_v reconcile_v unto_o god_n because_o their_o fall_n from_o his_o grace_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o gentile_n admission_n to_o it_o how_o much_o better_o shall_v it_o then_o be_v that_o all_o they_o which_o be_v now_o fall_v from_o christ_n do_v repent_v and_o return_v unto_o grace_n again_o and_o to_o become_v as_o new_a bear_v man_n or_o restore_v again_o from_o death_n take_v example_n of_o you_o to_o accomplish_v the_o same_o with_o gladness_n which_o thing_n do_v there_o remain_v then_o nothing_o else_o to_o be_v look_v after_o but_o the_o resurrection_n of_o all_o flesh_n neither_o shall_v we_o despair_v of_o all_o the_o whole_a nation_n for_o the_o impious_a state_n or_o ungodliness_n of_o a_o few_o of_o they_o for_o see_v the_o gentile_n be_v once_o very_o far_o from_o all_o kind_n of_o godly_a religion_n be_v yet_o at_o the_o call_v of_o god_n bring_v unto_o the_o true_a worship_v of_o he_o why_o shall_v not_o in_o like_a manner_n the_o jew_n be_v call_v again_o to_o the_o grace_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n consider_v they_o proceed_v of_o so_o godly_a parent_n which_o also_o be_v beginner_n of_o their_o
