committee_n of_o lord_n in_o parliament_n trin._n 8._o jac._n 1._o that_o a_o convocation_n can_v assemble_v at_o their_o onvocation_n without_o the_o assent_n of_o the_o king_n and_o one_o will_v think_v such_o person_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v very_o well_o qualify_v to_o know_v what_o our_o law_n be_v but_o shall_v also_o be_v very_o careful_a especial_o at_o such_o a_o time_n and_o in_o such_o a_o place_n not_o to_o deliver_v any_o thing_n for_o law_n which_o they_o be_v not_o very_o well_o assure_v be_v so_o but_o because_o some_o have_v except_v against_o the_o authority_n of_o come_v to_o the_o trial_n the_o convocation_n itself_o can_v not_o agree_v about_o this_o matter_n and_o from_o thence_o draw_v a_o untoward_a consequence_n against_o the_o very_a doctrine_n itself_o for_o my_o own_o part_n i_o be_o neither_o engage_v by_o my_o opinion_n to_o support_v dr._n sherlock_n explication_n nor_o will_v i_o ever_o become_v a_o advocate_n for_o any_o man_n to_o the_o public_a detriment_n of_o the_o church_n or_o its_o doctrine_n but_o as_o i_o be_o persuade_v he_o have_v no_o heretical_a design_n nor_o be_v know_o involve_v in_o any_o tritheistical_a opinion_n so_o i_o can_v but_o think_v it_o very_o hard_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o believe_v a_o plurality_n of_o god_n whether_o he_o do_v believe_v any_o such_o doctrine_n or_o no._n and_o if_o to_o err_v in_o such_o a_o matter_n as_o this_o or_o not_o to_o see_v all_o the_o possible_a consequence_n of_o a_o hypothesis_n in_o so_o abstruse_a a_o speculation_n be_v a_o crime_n i_o be_o afraid_a it_o will_v be_v hard_a for_o any_o of_o we_o to_o be_v altogether_o innocent_a as_o for_o the_o other_o remain_v author_n i_o shall_v say_v but_o very_o little_a let_v his_o crime_n be_v be_v no_o ground_n to_o prove_v the_o necessity_n of_o their_o meeting_n there_o be_v yet_o one_o thing_n more_o advance_v 17._o by_o this_o author_n not_o indeed_o as_o a_o work_n which_o he_o think_v necessary_a for_o a_o convocation_n direct_o to_o meet_v about_o but_o as_o a_o motive_n to_o show_v how_o requisite_a it_o be_v that_o somewhat_o shall_v be_v do_v by_o they_o in_o the_o matter_n already_o mention_v and_o that_o be_v five_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o those_o mischievous_a effect_n which_o these_o various_a opinion_n and_o heresy_n have_v produce_v among_o the_o laity_n they_o be_v such_o that_o if_o we_o may_v credit_v he_o a_o convocation_n seem_v necessary_a 7._o not_o only_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o the_o faith_n and_o doctrine_n of_o the_o english_a church_n but_o even_o to_o preserve_v the_o belief_n of_o any_o revelation_n i_o be_o loath_a say_v he_o to_o be_v more_o particular_a but_o the_o cause_n and_o the_o effect_n be_v both_o plain_a
