their_o spirit_n will_v take_v no_o comfort_n discomfort_n but_o now_o as_o concern_v outward_a and_o external_a discomfort_n which_o be_v feel_v as_o well_o of_o such_o as_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o such_o as_o have_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o only_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n as_o we_o may_v see_v in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n how_o noah_n show_v the_o discomfort_n of_o all_o man_n and_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o world_n for_o sin_n 6._o but_o this_o discomfort_n do_v not_o enter_v into_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o hearer_n christ_n complain_v of_o the_o same_o that_o the_o people_n have_v both_o discomfort_n and_o comfort_v preach_v unto_o they_o and_o yet_o they_o receive_v none_o of_o they_o both_o to_o who_o say_v christ_n shall_v i_o if_o asaph_n the_o author_n of_o this_o psalm_n be_v amongst_o we_o he_o will_v say_v his_o spirit_n will_v take_v no_o consolation_n and_o this_o be_v a_o horrible_a plague_n that_o weekly_o this_o psalm_n be_v read_v amongst_o the_o popish_a clergy_n and_o yet_o it_o bring_v their_o spirit_n to_o no_o sorrow_n nor_o feel_v of_o god_n displeasure_n wherefore_o our_o own_o experience_n teach_v that_o there_o be_v a_o inward_a and_o a_o outward_a discomfort_n in_o this_o psalm_n and_o in_o the_o rest_n of_o god_n most_o holy_a word_n the_o one_o penitent_a sinner_n feel_v and_o by_o it_o come_v in_o by_o occasion_n rather_o than_o to_o show_v a_o full_a remedy_n for_o the_o prophets_n trouble_n i_o will_v not_o write_v what_o i_o think_v thereof_o but_o defer_v the_o remedy_n against_o trouble_n to_o such_o other_o verse_n as_o follow_v because_o the_o prophet_n say_v before_o that_o his_o spirit_n can_v take_v no_o consolation_n and_o that_o a_o great_a many_o of_o trouble_n follow_v as_o the_o psalm_n declare_v it_o show_v that_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bear_v the_o trouble_n of_o the_o mind_n alone_o without_o the_o invocation_n and_o help_n of_o god_n wherefore_o before_o he_o express_v by_o write_v all_o his_o trouble_n he_o write_v also_o how_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o he_o do_v remember_v and_o put_v his_o trust_n in_o the_o lord_n out_o of_o this_o we_o learn_v how_o necessary_a it_o be_v
the_o prophet_n remember_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o that_o of_o old_a time_n or_o from_o the_o beginning_n the_o second_o i_o will_v think_v also_o of_o all_o the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n etc._n etc._n in_o this_o that_o the_o prophet_n say_v scripture_n he_o will_v remember_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o old_a time_n or_o from_o the_o beginning_n we_o learn_v that_o it_o be_v expedient_a to_o know_v or_o at_o the_o least_o way_n not_o to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o any_o book_n in_o the_o scripture_n for_o where_o as_o we_o find_v not_o consolation_n in_o the_o one_o we_o may_v find_v it_o in_o the_o other_o and_o where_o he_o say_v he_o will_v remember_v all_o y_z e_z work_n of_o the_o lord_n mean_v as_o many_o as_o the_o scripture_n make_v mention_n of_o we_o be_v instruct_v that_o we_o can_v see_v these_o work_n for_o our_o erudition_n neither_o yet_o give_v y_o e_o almighty_a god_n thanks_o except_o we_o learn_v they_o from_o one_o of_o his_o book_n to_o the_o other_o and_o here_o be_v to_o be_v note_v that_o see_v we_o be_v bind_v to_o know_v and_o to_o be_v thankful_a for_o all_o the_o work_n of_o god_n contain_v in_o the_o scripture_n we_o be_v three_o to_o put_v her_o life_n in_o danger_n with_o confess_v christ_n to_o be_v her_o spouse_n before_o such_o as_o hate_v he_o mortal_o and_o yet_o how_o do_v this_o christian_a creature_n doubtless_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n without_o murmur_n or_o grudge_v and_o in_o all_o these_o trouble_n note_v there_o be_v no_o complaint_n nor_o quarrel_n make_v of_o her_o prayer_n that_o be_v not_o hear_v of_o the_o pain_n that_o for_o the_o time_n profit_v not_o of_o y_z e_z loss_n of_o her_o good_n and_o apparel_n nor_o yet_o of_o the_o danger_n that_o she_o be_v in_o of_o she_o and_o trouble_v and_o full_a of_o anguish_n and_o pain_n and_o as_o long_o as_o they_o be_v in_o this_o case_n without_o god_n mercy_n they_o can_v do_v nothing_o that_o plese_v god_n or_o content_v themselves_o but_o as_o soon_o as_o the_o spirit_n be_v assure_v and_o feel_v that_o god_n for_o his_o mercy_n do_v forgive_v and_o forget_v the_o iniquity_n that_o the_o spirit_n and_o body_n have_v commit_v and_o do_v against_o god_n it_o rejoice_v and_o be_v so_o glad_a that_o it_o will_v do_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o plese_v and_o be_v acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o in_o christ_n
