against_o the_o jew_n until_o he_o have_v vanquish_v all_o the_o jew_n which_o be_v at_o medina_n and_o the_o country_n adjacent_a and_o those_o which_o remain_v alive_a become_v tributary_n to_o the_o moor_n and_o so_o in_o process_n of_o time_n by_o war_n bloodshed_n and_o large_a promise_n the_o sect_n of_o muhamed_a increase_v until_o he_o at_o last_o conquer_v mecca_n and_o all_o the_o country_n adjacent_a and_o gain_v likewise_o all_o arabia_n felix_n and_o arrabia_n magna_n and_o a_o great_a part_n of_o armenia_n and_o persia_n before_o he_o die_v and_o when_o he_o be_v dead_a the_o primacy_n devolve_v to_o the_o caliph_n or_o king_n ubequar_fw-la his_o father-in-law_n in_o who_o time_n the_o strength_n of_o the_o moor_n be_v increase_v to_o threescore_o thousand_o horseman_n and_o after_o this_o ubequar_fw-la the_o dominion_n come_v to_o homar_n muhameds_n second_o father-in-law_n and_o these_o two_o in_o their_o time_n with_o their_o moor_n gain_v all_o the_o land_n of_o syria_n and_o africa_n and_o in_o this_o manner_n the_o law_n or_o sect_n of_o muhamed_a have_v spread_v itself_o by_o force_n of_o arm_n not_o by_o do_v miracle_n as_o the_o law_n of_o jesus_n christ_n do_v the_o three_o cause_n whereby_o the_o law_n or_o sect_n of_o muhamed_a have_v augment_v be_v by_o the_o great_a promise_n which_o muhamet_n make_v to_o the_o moor_n and_o which_o the_o alcoran_n promise_v that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o glory_n of_o paradise_n as_o it_o be_v declare_v in_o the_o nine_o chapter_n the_o alcoran_n promise_v that_o those_o moor_n which_o die_v in_o war_n be_v not_o dead_a but_o live_v and_o that_o they_o eat_v and_o drink_v this_o he_o say_v in_o the_o first_o and_o second_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n in_o arabic_a thus_o oguale_n etc._n etc._n i._n e._n do_v not_o think_v that_o those_o who_o die_v in_o war_n be_v dead_a for_o they_o be_v live_v with_o their_o creator_n eat_v and_o drink_v wherefore_o the_o moor_n when_o they_o make_v war_n choose_v death_n as_o soon_o as_o life_n and_o hereupon_o the_o suné_fw-fr say_v that_o none_o that_o die_v in_o this_o world_n when_o they_o be_v out_o of_o this_o life_n desire_v to_o live_v here_o again_o except_o those_o which_o die_v in_o battle_n and_o those_o say_v the_o suné_n desire_v to_o come_v again_o into_o this_o world_n that_o they_o may_v die_v again_o in_o battle_n and_o enjoy_v again_o the_o great_a delight_n which_o they_o have_v in_o die_v and_o from_o th_a false_a promise_v it_o be_v that_o the_o moor_n to_o this_o day_n have_v fight_v so_o valiant_o and_o have_v get_v dominion_n over_o their_o enemy_n and_o beside_o he_o promise_v they_o that_o all_o the_o spoil_n shall_v be_v share_v equal_o among_o they_o and_o so_o also_o i_o say_v that_o if_o the_o king_n our_o sovereign_n will_v promise_v this_o one_o thing_n unto_o those_o who_o will_v go_v beyond_o the_o sea_n to_o fight_v against_o the_o moor_n i_o dare_v promise_n before_o god_n that_o in_o three_o year_n the_o christian_n will_v conquer_v all_o africa_n and_o asia_n and_o this_o be_v the_o three_o cause_n whereby_o the_o sect_n of_o the_o moor_n have_v increase_v the_o which_o be_v against_o god_n and_o against_o our_o neighbour_n nor_o have_v jesus_n christ_n command_v any_o such_o thing_n in_o his_o gospel_n but_o peace_n charity_n and_o mercy_n wherewith_o he_o will_v reward_v every_o one_o that_o shall_v deserve_v it_o now_o o_o moor_n observe_v and_o consider_v the_o propagation_n of_o thy_o law_n and_o by_o what_o mean_v it_o be_v and_o then_o observe_v the_o propagation_n of_o the_o faith_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o how_o it_o be_v altogether_o found_v upon_o charity_n and_o peace_n without_o shed_v of_o man_n blood_n without_o rob_v or_o turn_v any_o man_n out_o of_o his_o own_o but_o muhamed_a in_o the_o three_o chapter_n of_o the_o second_o book_n say_v that_o they_o must_v expel_v their_o enemy_n out_o of_o their_o house_n and_o behead_v they_o and_o kill_v they_o now_o behold_v o_o moor_n the_o difference_n between_o these_o two_o law_n and_o thou_o will_v know_v thy_o god_n and_o save_v thy_o soul_n and_o the_o disciple_n of_o muhamed_a do_v not_o only_o fight_v against_o their_o enemy_n and_o expel_v they_o from_o their_o habitation_n and_o dominion_n but_o also_o make_v war_n among_o themselves_o kill_v each_o other_o for_o to_o have_v the_o califage_n and_o kingdom_n and_o so_o i_o say_v that_o except_o ubiquar_n and_o homar_n muhameds_n fathers-in-law_n who_o die_v natural_a death_n all_o the_o rest_n kill_v each_o other_o the_o first_o that_o die_v be_v hozman_n who_o haly_n cause_v to_o be_v slay_v that_o he_o may_v be_v king_n haly_n also_o die_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n one_o moagua_n cause_v he_o to_o be_v kill_v and_o the_o say_v moagua_n be_v slay_v by_o a_o son_n of_o haly_n call_v ahoceim_n and_o he_o be_v also_o kill_v by_o another_o and_o so_o one_o kill_v another_o successive_o to_o the_o number_n of_o thirty_o caliphs_n of_o who_o difference_n death_n battle_n and_o quarrel_n there_o be_v a_o book_n write_v which_o the_o moor_n in_o arabic_a call_n kitabu_n almu_o licu_n i._n e._n the_o book_n of_o the_o king_n which_o book_n they_o let_v none_o read_v but_o man_n of_o good_a year_n but_o this_o book_n be_v not_o like_o that_o which_o we_o call_v the_o act_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o thus_o muhameds_n sect_n increase_v and_o spread_v by_o the_o three_o cause_n aforesaid_a and_o not_o by_o its_o own_o goodness_n now_o consider_v o_o moor_n the_o disciple_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o what_o live_v they_o lead_v after_o jesus_n christ_n ascension_n preach_v and_o declare_v the_o faith_n and_o do_v miracle_n without_o arm_n and_o without_o envy_v each_o other_o yea_o only_o to_o exalt_v the_o faith_n of_o jesus_n christ_n their_o lord_n and_o master_n they_o be_v persecute_v and_o all_o die_v martyr_n not_o as_o the_o disciple_n of_o muhamed_a who_o as_o we_o say_v kill_v each_o other_o for_o dominion_n and_o to_o be_v prince_n in_o this_o world_n but_o we_o must_v say_v as_o do_v the_o proverb_n as_o be_v the_o captain_n such_o be_v his_o follower_n the_o which_o more_o plain_o appear_v when_o we_o say_v that_o even_o as_o be_v our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o great_a master_n and_o as_o be_v his_o word_n work_n and_o admonition_n full_a of_o purity_n chastity_n righteousness_n peace_n and_o other_o grace_n of_o clemency_n mercy_n and_o piety_n a_o friend_n to_o the_o poor_a and_o humble_a so_o also_o be_v his_o holy_a disciple_n full_a of_o purity_n and_o chastity_n full_a of_o righteousness_n patience_n charity_n friend_n to_o the_o poor_a peaceable_a and_o humble_a and_o leave_v all_o that_o they_o have_v in_o the_o world_n to_o follow_v their_o master_n jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n preach_v the_o christian_a faith_n to_o all_o the_o world_n clothe_v in_o sackcloth_n arm_v with_o nothing_o but_o the_o holy_a ghost_n without_o kill_v or_o fight_v do_v miracle_n cleanse_v the_o leprous_a heal_v the_o sick_a impotent_a and_o blind_a and_o raise_v the_o dead_a as_o the_o alcoran_n itself_o testify_v and_o thus_o the_o holy_a disciple_n of_o jesus_n christ_n convert_v all_o the_o world_n as_o david_n say_v there_o be_v no_o language_n tongue_n or_o speech_n where_o their_o sound_n be_v not_o hear_v in_o all_o the_o earth_n and_o coast_n thereof_o their_o knowledge_n be_v confer_v but_o this_o be_v not_o like_o muhamed_a and_o his_o word_n and_o work_n who_o be_v altogether_o full_a of_o pride_n vanity_n vain_a glory_n luxury_n revenge_n and_o cruelty_n destitute_a of_o all_o virtue_n and_o charity_n estrange_v and_o separate_v from_o all_o mercy_n and_o pity_n full_a of_o vice_n and_o void_a of_o chastity_n insomuch_o that_o all_o his_o thought_n and_o study_n be_v nothing_o but_o to_o kill_v rob_fw-mi
shall_v change_v it_o let_v god_n curse_n light_n on_o he_o and_o according_a to_o this_o commandment_n the_o moor_n dispose_v of_o their_o estate_n for_o one_o while_n during_o muhamed_n life_n and_o if_o any_o one_o bequeath_v a_o three_o part_n of_o his_o good_n to_o his_o parent_n or_o brethren_n the_o will_n be_v firm_a by_o force_n of_o that_o commandment_n and_o verse_n but_o afterward_o there_o come_v a_o crochet_n into_o muhamed_n head_n and_o without_o any_o verse_n of_o the_o alcoran_n he_o give_v a_o verbal_a command_n clean_o contrary_a viz._n he_o command_v that_o they_o shall_v in_o no_o case_n leave_v a_o three_o part_n of_o their_o good_n to_o father_n mother_n sister_n nor_o brother_n and_o according_a to_o this_o last_o say_n of_o muhamed_a the_o moor_n afterward_o give_v judgement_n and_o do_v judge_n to_o this_o day_n and_o leave_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o the_o verse_n as_o a_o thing_n cancel_v and_o annul_v now_o tell_v i_o o_o moor_n which_o be_v those_o like_a or_o better_a verse_n which_o revoke_v the_o verse_n aforesaid_a because_o the_o alcoran_n in_o a_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n say_v that_o god_n do_v not_o revoke_v any_o verse_n but_o to_o give_v another_o like_o it_o or_o a_o better_a but_o see_v thou_o have_v no_o answer_n but_o silence_n thou_o must_v know_v that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a transgression_n to_o leave_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n for_o the_o command_n of_o muhamed_a it_o be_v no_o great_a wonder_n if_o one_o of_o god_n command_n do_v revoke_v another_o of_o his_o command_n and_o one_o of_o god_n verse_n revoke_v another_o of_o his_o verse_n because_o he_o that_o make_v a_o law_n may_v and_o have_v authority_n to_o annul_v it_o as_o we_o find_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o god_n command_v and_o afterward_o forbid_v as_o when_o he_o command_v abraham_n to_o sacrifice_v his_o son_n isaac_n and_o afterward_o will_v that_o he_o shall_v not_o sacrifice_v he_o but_o a_o ram_n and_o thelike_o of_o the_o prophet_n ionas_n therefore_o it_o be_v a_o marvellous_a thing_n and_o without_o reason_n and_o justice_n that_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v revoke_v and_o abolish_v by_o a_o sinful_a man_n and_o that_o they_o shall_v observe_v what_o a_o man_n say_v and_o leave_v what_o god_n say_v as_o void_a and_o of_o no_o force_n from_o whence_o thou_o may_v know_v o_o moor_n that_o the_o alcoran_n be_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n because_o that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v as_o god_n himself_o and_o none_o can_v nullifye_v god_n or_o his_o word_n now_o then_o in_o regard_n the_o alcoran_n be_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n muhamed_a have_v annul_v it_o and_o reject_v it_o for_o that_o which_o god_n have_v lay_v down_o for_o a_o command_n of_o law_n muhamed_a command_v that_o they_o do_v the_o contrary_a not_o show_v any_o authority_n from_o god_n as_o he_o use_v to_o do_v for_o divers_a matter_n and_o for_o several_a act_n which_o he_o do_v as_o a_o little_a hereafter_o shall_v appear_v and_o how_o can_v it_o be_v authentic_a see_v muhamed_a during_o all_o the_o time_n of_o the_o twenty_o three_o year_n in_o which_o he_o be_v give_v the_o law_n and_o make_v the_o alcoran_n always_o alter_v the_o verse_n and_o command_v they_o to_o do_v many_o thing_n by_o authority_n of_o the_o verse_n of_o the_o alcoran_n and_o afterward_o command_v the_o clean_a contrary_n and_o to_o that_o purpose_n give_v authority_n by_o other_o verse_n which_o revoke_v the_o former_a verse_n as_o appear_v in_o the_o change_n of_o the_o alkibla_fw-mi where_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o alcoran_n he_o urge_v that_o they_o shall_v not_o pray_v but_o in_o the_o say_a house_n of_o jerusalem_n or_o in_o the_o house_n or_o mosque_n of_o mecca_n right_a against_o the_o tower_n call_v elcabba_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n it_o be_v now_o call_v alkibla_n of_o which_o alkibla_n and_o alteration_n i_o shall_v say_v something_o in_o the_o chapter_n of_o offence_n and_o thus_o i_o say_v that_o for_o these_o reason_n muhame_v never_o command_v that_o his_o alcoran_n shall_v be_v collect_v or_o reduce_v into_o book_n and_o chapter_n as_o now_o it_o be_v but_o keep_v it_o in_o the_o say_a scroll_n or_o paper_n in_o the_o aforesaid_a ark_n or_o shrine_n and_o many_o of_o they_o be_v lose_v and_o can_v never_o be_v find_v so_o that_o if_o he_o have_v live_v a_o hundred_o year_n he_o will_v still_o have_v alter_v his_o law_n and_o the_o alcoran_n will_v never_o have_v be_v finish_v and_o therefore_o he_o do_v not_o reduce_v it_o into_o the_o form_n which_o it_o now_o have_v but_o it_o be_v do_v after_o he_o be_v dead_a when_o hozman_n his_o son-in-law_n be_v king_n and_o caliph_n who_o be_v the_o three_o king_n after_o muhamed_a for_o after_o muhamed_n death_n the_o aforesaid_a vbequar_fw-la succeed_v as_o king_n and_o caliph_n after_o vbequar_fw-la homar_n alhatab_n be_v chapter_n the_o first_o whereof_o be_v call_v the_o chapter_n of_o the_o cow_n the_o second_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o lineage_n of_o joachim_n the_o father_n of_o our_o lady_n the_o three_o the_o chapter_n of_o woman_n the_o four_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o table_n and_o the_o five_o the_o chapter_n of_o beast_n in_o the_o second_o book_n he_o put_v 12._o chapter_n 1._o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o three_o as_o in_o the_o four_o this_o say_v hozman_n who_o collect_v the_o alcoran_n do_v not_o in_o those_o 4._o book_n and_o 211._o chapter_n set_v down_o all_o the_o alcoran_n which_o the_o moor_n in_o muhamed_n time_n read_v in_o the_o scroll_n or_o paper_n which_o the_o say_a secretary_n write_v the_o which_o i_o prove_v by_o the_o book_n azar_n and_o by_o the_o book_n of_o azzifa_n which_o say_v that_o in_o muhamed_n time_n the_o 17_o chapter_n of_o addition_n in_o the_o three_o book_n be_v as_o big_a as_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o cow_n which_o be_v the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n but_o now_o it_o be_v not_o above_o half_a as_o big_a as_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o cow_n so_o that_o there_o want_v half_o the_o chapter_n and_o i_o prove_v it_o further_o because_o that_o when_o the_o aforesaid_a hozman_n collect_v the_o alcoran_n he_o find_v several_a paper_n of_o the_o alcoran_n in_o the_o house_n of_o axa_fw-la muhamed_n wife_n eat_v by_o mouse_n out_o of_o which_o he_o can_v gather_v nothing_o they_o have_v lie_v behind_o a_o chest_n and_o be_v spoil_v with_o damp_n and_o mouse_n i_o also_o further_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o aforesaid_a book_n which_o say_v that_o when_o the_o say_v hozman_n collect_v the_o alcoran_n he_o go_v about_o ask_v every_o one_o what_o he_o remember_v of_o the_o alcoran_n some_o tell_v he_o that_o they_o have_v forget_v much_o of_o it_o other_o tell_v he_o that_o in_o such_o a_o wall_n he_o shall_v find_v such_o and_o such_o verse_n in_o writing_n and_o so_o among_o the_o wall_n and_o the_o moor_n he_o get_v part_n of_o it_o yet_o nevertheless_o he_o never_o find_v the_o verse_n which_o in_o muhamed_n time_n command_v that_o marry_a person_n take_v in_o adultery_n shall_v be_v stone_v which_o verse_n

that_o if_o it_o be_v from_o god_n and_o the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o of_o it_o which_o be_v lose_v have_v not_o be_v lose_v and_o the_o mouse_n have_v not_o eat_v those_o note_n in_o axa_n house_n &_o that_o verse_n of_o lapidation_n have_v not_o be_v lose_v observe_v then_o o_o moor_n &_o consider_v this_o and_o thou_o will_v know_v thy_o error_n &_o be_v convert_v to_o god_n &_o god_n will_v have_v mercy_n on_o thou_o if_o thou_o love_v thyself_o and_o if_o thy_o soul_n be_v dear_a to_o thou_o and_o so_o i_o will_v conclude_v this_o second_o chapter_n chap._n iii_o the_o three_o chapter_n of_o this_o treatise_n discourse_v of_o muhamed_n suné_n what_o the_o word_n signify_v of_o the_o six_o book_n thereof_o and_o what_o they_o contain_v their_o name_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o in_o his_o life_n time_n command_v negative_o they_o lay_v the_o same_o down_o affirmative_o and_o what_o muhamed_a have_v command_v and_o set_v down_o in_o his_o law_n affirmative_o they_o set_v the_o same_o down_o negative_o insomuch_o that_o this_o law_n be_v like_a to_o be_v destroy_v and_o never_o use_v more_o upon_o which_o ground_n and_o because_o of_o the_o great_a damage_n and_o together_o in_o wedlock_n till_o he_o be_v 38_o year_n old_a and_o muhamed_a have_v 3_o daughter_n and_o 1_o son_n by_o she_o the_o elder_a daughter_n be_v call_v fatima_n the_o second_o zeyneb_n the_o three_o umicultum_fw-la and_o his_o son_n be_v call_v cazin_n and_o die_v at_o 22_o year_n of_o age_n the_o same_o year_n that_o muhamed_a take_v the_o say_a gentlewoman_n to_o wife_n he_o do_v a_o act_n of_o idolatry_n whereby_o i_o will_v prove_v to_o the_o moor_n that_o he_o be_v a_o idolater_n and_o it_o be_v thus_o you_o must_v understand_v that_o it_o chance_v that_o year_n that_o the_o people_n of_o mecca_n repair_v a_o breach_n which_o be_v in_o the_o tower_n where_o the_o say_a idol_n stand_v and_o be_v constrain_v to_o take_v the_o stone_n from_o its_o place_n have_v repair_v the_o tower_n they_o agree_v to_o put_v the_o stone_n again_o in_o its_o place_n and_o to_o avoid_v all_o strife_n and_o offence_n which_o may_v arise_v about_o which_o of_o they_o shall_v set_v the_o stone_n again_o in_o its_o place_n all_o the_o gentry_n of_o mecca_n cast_v lot_n and_o the_o lot_n fall_v upon_o muhamed_a and_o a_o cousin_n of_o he_o whereupon_o muhamed_a and_o his_o cousin_n come_v to_o the_o temple_n to_o set_v the_o stone_n again_o it_o it_o be_v place_n and_o muhamed_a take_v off_o his_o turbane_n from_o his_o head_n and_o he_o and_o his_o cousin_n lay_v the_o stone_n upon_o the_o turbane_n to_o honour_v it_o the_o more_o so_o he_o on_o one_o side_n &_o his_o cousin_n on_o the_o other_o take_v up_o the_o turbane_n and_o with_o great_a reverence_n set_v the_o stone_n in_o its_o place_n and_o kiss_v it_o with_o a_o immense_a devotion_n and_o in_o honour_n to_o the_o say_a idol_n whence_o it_o plain_o appear_v that_o muhamed_a be_v a_o idolater_n and_o do_v honour_n and_o worship_v the_o idol_n and_o kiss_v magnify_v and_o exalt_v the_o stone_n which_o only_a thing_n be_v of_o itself_o great_a idolatry_n and_o muhamed_a not_o only_o kiss_v and_o adore_v this_o stone_n before_o he_o be_v a_o profess_a prophet_n but_o also_o kiss_v and_o adore_v it_o after_o he_o be_v a_o public_a prophet_n and_o he_o commannd_v and_o lay_v down_o the_o adore_v and_o kiss_v of_o this_o stone_n for_o a_o article_n of_o his_o law_n and_o faith_n which_o i_o prove_v by_o the_o book_n of_o the_o suné_fw-fr and_o by_o a_o book_n entitle_v aericele_n in_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o ceremony_n of_o the_o alhage_n or_o pilgrimage_n where_o he_o say_v and_o command_v all_o the_o moor_n which_o go_v a_o pilgrimage_n to_o mecca_n when_o they_o go_v into_o the_o louse_n or_o a_o flee_v in_o all_o the_o country_n of_o mecca_n during_o the_o aforesaid_a 4_o prohibit_v month_n and_o you_o must_v understand_v that_o the_o moor_n make_v their_o account_n and_o calculation_n of_o time_n according_a to_o the_o lunar_a year_n and_o not_o the_o solar_a and_o call_v the_o twelve_o moon_n of_o the_o year_n each_o by_o a_o particular_a name_n whereof_z 4_o be_v call_v prohibit_v month_n because_o of_o the_o say_v hunt_v forbid_v they_o in_o the_o country_n of_o mecca_n which_o prohibition_n they_o retain_v from_o caydar_n and_o his_o successor_n in_o honour_n to_o the_o say_a idol_n one_o of_o these_o month_n or_o moon_n be_v call_v rajab_n the_o next_o quedda_n the_o three_o hegia_n the_o last_o moharram_n from_o which_o moharram_n they_o begin_v their_o annual_a account_n likewise_o the_o moor_n observe_v the_o fast_a of_o the_o ten_o day_n of_o the_o say_v four_o month_n which_o begin_v the_o year_n on_o which_o day_n the_o idolater_n fast_v in_o reverence_n to_o the_o say_a idol_n the_o which_o i_o prove_v by_o a_o say_n of_o muhamed_a in_o the_o six_o book_n of_o the_o suné_fw-fr where_o he_o say_v that_o the_o coraxiste_n and_o the_o people_n of_o mecca_n fast_v this_o ten_o day_n when_o they_o be_v idolater_n and_o the_o word_n in_o arabic_a be_v these_o oqua_n quenet_n etc._n etc._n likewise_o the_o moor_n observe_v the_o go_n well_o and_o do_v thus_o seven_o time_n and_o that_o hereupon_o god_n hear_v her_o prayer_n and_o cause_v water_n to_o issue_v out_o of_o the_o pit_n and_o for_o this_o reason_n and_o in_o memorial_n hereof_o the_o idolater_n go_v about_o the_o tower_n and_o walk_v seven_o time_n to_o the_o well_o which_o ceremony_n the_o moor_n observe_v and_o they_o be_v
night_n in_o the_o house_n of_o one_o of_o the_o most_o eminent_a among_o they_o and_o hold_v counsel_n about_o muhamed_a and_o they_o all_o conclude_v to_o kill_v he_o emprison_v he_o or_o at_o least_o to_o banish_v he_o and_o that_o this_o be_v so_o consult_v of_o we_o may_v read_v in_o the_o second_o chapter_n of_o the_o second_o book_n which_o in_o arabic_a say_v thus_o ognay_v pamcoro_n etc._n etc._n i._n e._n that_o they_o of_o mecca_n take_v counsel_n to_o kill_v he_o or_o to_o send_v he_o into_o banishment_n or_o to_o imprison_v he_o and_o be_v so_o in_o consultation_n certain_a man_n who_o be_v secret_o become_v moores_n do_v the_o same_o night_n give_v muhamed_a notice_n of_o it_o and_o he_o present_o flee_v and_o all_o the_o moor_n with_o he_o and_o go_v to_o medina_n a_o city_n ten_o day_n journey_n from_o mecca_n he_o have_v also_o notice_n of_o the_o preparation_n of_o the_o citizen_n of_o mecca_n who_o have_v set_v guard_n in_o the_o way_n perceive_v that_o he_o and_o his_o moores_n will_v flee_v away_o that_o night_n whereupon_o muhamed_a bid_v all_o the_o moor_n that_o every_o one_o shall_v lay_v a_o handful_n of_o ember_n on_o the_o head_n of_o his_o horse_n and_o cast_v another_o handful_n into_o the_o air_n and_o tie_v the_o reins_n of_o their_o horse_n read_v a_o verse_n which_o be_v in_o the_o 18_o chapter_n of_o the_o three_o book_n of_o the_o alcoran_n and_o be_v thus_o oguaihalme_n minbeym_n etc._n etc._n i._n e._n that_o they_o take_v a_o vayl_n or_o screen_n in_o their_o hand_n and_o about_o they_o so_o that_o they_o blind_v thirteen_o year_n there_o finish_v his_o sect_n or_o religion_n and_o die_v there_o at_o medina_n he_o find_v five_o family_n of_o jew_n dwell_v there_o and_o in_o the_o part_n adjacent_a who_o begin_v to_o dispute_v and_o question_v those_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v then_o insert_v in_o the_o alcoran_n and_o require_v he_o to_o do_v some_o miracle_n as_o moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n decease_a have_v do_v to_o who_o he_o answer_v that_o god_n be_v his_o witness_n and_o that_o his_o testimony_n ought_v to_o suffice_v and_o that_o he_o come_v not_o to_o work_v miracle_n but_o to_o reduce_v those_o which_o wander_v and_o go_v astray_o unto_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o of_o abraham_n of_o which_o question_n and_o answer_n the_o chapter_n of_o the_o alcoran_n be_v full_a and_o where_o else_o there_o he_o relate_v the_o history_n of_o a_o prophet_n call_v hadin_n alias_o have_v and_o of_o another_o call_v zamud_n alias_o hud_n and_o of_o a_o three_o call_v zaleh_n and_o of_o their_o nation_n call_v the_o people_n of_o hud_n and_o of_o a_o camel_n who_o with_o her_o foal_n be_v a_o league_n in_o length_n which_o two_o beast_n one_o day_n drink_v up_o the_o water_n of_o the_o city_n where_o that_o people_n dwell_v and_o the_o next_o day_n swallow_v up_o man_n whereupon_o one_o day_n they_o of_o the_o city_n slay_v they_o and_o because_o of_o the_o sin_n in_o kill_v they_o there_o fall_v a_o great_a tempest_n upon_o that_o people_n thus_o muhamed_a have_v great_a dispute_v and_o debate_v with_o the_o jew_n and_o himself_o extol_v their_o law_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v silent_a nevertheless_o they_o still_o dispute_v against_o he_o and_o laugh_v at_o the_o moor_n and_o mussellman_n and_o set_v strife_n betwixt_o he_o and_o his_o moor_n as_o shall_v appear_v in_o due_a place_n which_o jar_v continue_v until_o he_o get_v power_n and_o then_o he_o begin_v to_o suppress_v the_o jew_n and_o fight_v eleven_o battle_n with_o they_o overcome_v they_o and_o slay_v most_o part_n of_o they_o and_o the_o survivor_n have_v their_o life_n give_v they_o by_o the_o moor_n and_o become_v their_o subject_n and_o tributary_n and_o from_o thence_o forward_o he_o begin_v to_o combat_v against_o the_o people_n of_o mecca_n and_o they_o of_o mecca_n oppose_v he_o as_o shall_v be_v show_v hereafter_o but_o that_o i_o may_v not_o be_v tedious_a i_o will_v conclude_v this_o chapter_n and_o run_v through_o the_o eleven_o follow_a chapter_n i_o shall_v finish_v this_o treatise_n and_o the_o life_n of_o muhamed_a and_o of_o all_o that_o he_o do_v whilst_o he_o be_v at_o almedina_n chap_n ii_o the_o second_o chapter_n treat_v of_o the_o alcoran_n what_o it_o signify_v of_o the_o matter_n therein_o contain_v and_o of_o how_o many_o song_n it_o be_v i._n e._n scatter_a verse_n and_o chapter_n because_o he_o be_v so_o long_o in_o make_v it_o and_o the_o chapter_n thereof_o be_v call_v suar_fw-la and_o one_o alone_o be_v call_v in_o arabic_a surah_n the_o alcoran_n treat_v of_o divers_a thing_n and_o especial_o of_o the_o sect_n or_o law_n of_o muhamed_a and_o of_o what_o the_o moor_n shall_v believe_v and_o do_v of_o the_o hope_n of_o and_o drink_n as_o of_o woman_n with_o who_o they_o may_v or_o may_v not_o marry_v also_o it_o speak_v of_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n how_o god_n create_v adam_n and_o eve_n how_o they_o sin_v and_o be_v cast_v out_o of_o paradise_n and_o come_v to_o the_o earth_n how_o the_o evil_a angel_n sin_v and_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o how_o they_o lose_v the_o celestial_a glory_n it_o also_o speak_v how_o god_n send_v moses_n to_o bring_v the_o people_n of_o israel_n out_o of_o the_o captivity_n and_o power_n of_o pharaoh_n how_o the_o jew_n receive_v the_o law_n what_o befall_v they_o at_o their_o go_v out_o of_o egypt_n how_o they_o have_v manna_n sin_v and_o worship_v the_o calf_n and_o how_o they_o pass_v the_o red_a sea_n wherein_o pharaoh_n be_v drown_v it_o also_o treat_v of_o divers_a other_o history_n although_o he_o have_v put_v they_o confuse_o and_o out_o of_o order_n as_o the_o cutler_n be_v relate_v they_o it_o also_o speak_v of_o the_o prophet_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n although_o he_o mention_n divers_a which_o be_v not_o name_v in_o any_o author_n it_o likewise_o contain_v the_o admonition_n which_o muhame_v use_v to_o the_o people_n of_o mecca_n and_o his_o threat_n to_o induce_v they_o to_o believe_v his_o sect._n it_o also_o speak_v of_o glory_n and_o discourse_v of_o the_o glory_n which_o the_o moor_n shall_v have_v in_o paradise_n as_o also_o of_o hell_n and_o of_o the_o pain_n and_o torment_n which_o be_v there_o it_o speak_v of_o the_o wonder_n which_o god_n daily_o do_v and_o of_o the_o mystery_n and_o divine_a work_n which_o we_o daily_o see_v in_o the_o heaven_n earth_n and_o sea_n it_o also_o speak_v of_o the_o virgin_n mary_n of_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o his_o nativity_n and_o life_n and_o of_o the_o miracle_n that_o he_o wrought_v and_o of_o the_o evangelist_n and_o of_o the_o true_a law_n which_o jesus_n christ_n have_v give_v we_o as_o it_o shall_v full_o appear_v in_o the_o eleven_o chapter_n of_o this_o treatise_n furthermore_o the_o alcoran_n mention_n divers_a fraud_n and_o much_o filthiness_n use_v by_o muhamed_a and_o divers_a contrariety_n and_o repugnancy_n which_o have_v no_o reason_n in_o they_o and_o divers_a excuse_n which_o god_n accept_v from_o muhamed_a and_o make_v for_o he_o upon_o several_a dishonest_a and_o immodest_a case_n which_o muhame_v commit_v in_o his_o life_n as_o we_o shall_v show_v in_o the_o chapter_n of_o offence_n and_o wife_n final_o in_o the_o alcoran_n be_v many_o example_n of_o in_o the_o four_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n call_v the_o chapter_n of_o beast_n during_o the_o ten_o year_n at_o mecca_n he_o make_v certain_a chapter_n or_o soré_fw-it which_o call_v asoar_v mikia_fw-la i._n e._n chapter_n or_o song_n make_v at_o mecca_n and_o during_o the_o eleven_o year_n that_o he_o dwell_v at_o almedina_n he_o make_v the_o other_o chapter_n call_v soar_v medina_n i_o e._n song_n make_v in_o medina_n and_o not_o at_o mecca_n so_o that_o those_o which_o be_v make_v at_o mecca_n be_v not_o make_v at_o medina_n and_o he_o do_v not_o make_v this_o distinction_n without_o cause_n whereof_o i_o shall_v speak_v ere_o long_o in_o due_a place_n now_o forasmuch_o as_o he_o can_v not_o write_v he_o keep_v a_o clerk_n or_o secretary_n who_o write_v the_o scrowl_v of_o the_o alcoran_n for_o he_o and_o muhamed_a give_v out_o that_o the_o angel_n gabriel_n come_v to_o he_o from_o time_n to_o time_n with_o the_o verse_n of_o the_o alcoran_n which_o have_v former_o be_v a_o jew_n and_o well_o read_v and_o instruct_v in_o the_o law_n of_o the_o hebrew_n he_o at_o last_o perceive_v and_o take_v notice_n that_o all_o that_o muhamed_a dictate_v to_o he_o be_v forge_v and_o not_o give_v by_o god_n yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o will_v and_o do_v make_v trial_n of_o it_o for_o his_o satisfaction_n and_o it_o be_v thus_o whensoever_o he_o be_v command_v to_o write_v such_o and_o such_o verse_n he_o will_v turn_v the_o end_n of_o the_o verse_n to_o another_o meaning_n change_v the_o word_n and_o order_n but_o not_o the_o rhyme_n nor_o and_o gracious_a and_o thus_o the_o say_a secretary_n continue_v seven_o year_n change_v the_o end_n of_o the_o verse_n and_o when_o they_o be_v change_v muhamed_a do_v not_o perceive_v it_o whereupon_o the_o secretary_n conclude_v that_o if_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n from_o god_n so_o much_o time_n will_v not_o have_v pass_v but_o muhamed_a will_v have_v have_v knowledge_n of_o it_o either_o from_o god_n or_o from_o his_o friend_n the_o angel_n all_o which_o i_o prove_v from_o the_o book_n call_v azzifa_n and_o by_o the_o book_n azear_n so_o the_o secretary_n see_v this_o renounce_v his_o office_n and_o turn_v jew_n again_o as_o he_o be_v at_o first_o and_o the_o say_a book_n say_v that_o muhamed_a have_v another_o secretary_n who_o also_o renounce_v his_o office_n upon_o the_o same_o reason_n now_o speak_v o_o moor_n and_o consider_v what_o a_o law_n you_o have_v in_o the_o alcoran_n and_o how_o do_v you_o observe_v it_o yea_o if_o a_o moor_n change_v a_o letter_n or_o corrupt_v a_o clause_n or_o correct_v one_o accent_n of_o it_o he_o must_v present_o be_v stone_v by_o the_o law_n and_o suné_n how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o muhamed_a suffer_v so_o many_o verse_n to_o be_v change_v and_o in_o so_o many_o year_n can_v not_o perceive_v that_o the_o jew_n abuse_v he_o but_o give_v out_o himself_o to_o be_v the_o great_a prophet_n that_o ever_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o so_o thou_o will_v come_v to_o know_v that_o if_o the_o alcoran_n have_v be_v send_v from_o god_n to_o muhamed_a by_o a_o angel_n he_o will_v have_v be_v inform_v and_o have_v have_v notice_n of_o this_o aforesaid_a and_o the_o alcoran_n will_v have_v be_v correct_v and_o the_o jew_n punish_v &_o chastise_v but_o in_o regard_n he_o be_v neither_o prophet_n nor_o the_o alcoran_n the_o word_n of_o god_n therefore_o the_o jew_n proceed_v alter_v the_o verse_n at_o his_o pleasure_n and_o muhamed_a know_v not_o of_o it_o divers_a moores_n take_v offence_n when_o he_o cause_v the_o alcoran_n to_o be_v write_v because_o that_o one_o day_n he_o will_v cause_v verse_n to_o be_v set_v down_o command_v some_o and_o forbid_v other_o thing_n and_o another_o day_n he_o will_v dictate_v and_o cause_v other_o verse_n to_o be_v write_v forbid_v what_o he_o have_v before_o allow_v and_o permit_v they_o and_o make_v that_o lawful_a which_o he_o have_v before_o forbid_v and_o thus_o you_o shall_v find_v in_o the_o alcoran_n above_o one_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o verse_n of_o those_o contrariety_n and_o repugnancy_n which_o be_v call_v revoke_v verse_n because_o they_o be_v revoke_v and_o annul_v by_o other_o verse_n call_v revocatory_a verse_n which_o they_o express_v in_o arabic_a by_o hacen_n and_o mausoh_o moreover_o muhamed_a enjoin_v the_o moor_n to_o read_v certain_a verse_n and_o this_o rumination_n of_o verse_n continue_v a_o year_n or_o two_o and_o afterward_o they_o forget_v they_o and_o when_o they_o tell_v muhamed_a that_o they_o have_v forget_v their_o verse_n and_o desire_v he_o to_o repeat_v they_o again_o to_o they_o it_o seem_v he_o can_v not_o remember_v they_o himself_o and_o he_o will_v answer_v they_o that_o god_n make_v he_o forget_v they_o but_o the_o moor_n reprove_v he_o and_o tell_v he_o that_o if_o they_o be_v verse_n from_o god_n he_o ought_v not_o to_o forget_v they_o and_o if_o he_o can_v not_o remember_v they_o why_o do_v he_o not_o get_v they_o to_o be_v inspire_v into_o he_o again_o see_v his_o friend_n the_o angel_n gabriel_n converse_v with_o he_o but_o he_o on_o the_o contrary_n institute_v a_o verse_n to_o reprove_v they_o in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n which_o say_v in_o arabic_a omenen_n zehamin_n etc._n etc._n i._n e._n that_o god_n do_v not_o suffer_v any_o verse_n to_o be_v revoak_v or_o forget_v but_o for_o to_o send_v another_o like_o it_o or_o a_o better_a as_o if_o he_o will_v say_v that_o the_o verse_n late_o forget_v can_v not_o be_v call_v to_o remembrance_n again_o because_o god_n have_v already_o in_o exchange_n give_v the_o like_a &_o better_a verse_n so_o that_o by_o his_o great_a subtlety_n and_o cunning_n he_o have_v as_o many_o excuse_n as_o fayler_n and_o a_o salve_n for_o every_o sore_a what_o will_v thou_o say_v o_o moor_n unto_o those_o verse_n in_o the_o alcoran_n in_o the_o first_o book_n and_o chapter_n viz_o oya_n aynhe_o alledine_n etc._n etc._n which_o in_o prose_n signify_v that_o god_n have_v express_o command_v on_o penalty_n that_o whosoever_o do_v the_o contrary_a incur_v great_a just_a among_o the_o righteous_a and_o whosoever_o
that_o at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n every_o body_n shall_v receive_v its_o soul_n and_o man_n shall_v rise_v with_o soul_n and_o body_n for_o to_o give_v account_n to_o god_n at_o the_o last_o judgement_n and_o every_o one_o with_o his_o body_n shall_v receive_v glory_n or_o punishment_n now_o than_o if_o this_o be_v true_a how_o be_v it_o that_o the_o suné_fw-fr ses_fw-fr that_o man_n receive_v glory_n or_o punishment_n in_o the_o grave_n and_o how_o can_v it_o enter_v into_o the_o brain_n of_o a_o divine_a or_o of_o any_o man_n of_o knowledge_n that_o the_o body_n shall_v put_v on_o the_o soul_n like_o a_o shirt_n and_o suppose_v it_o be_v true_a and_o that_o the_o soul_n do_v clothe_v the_o body_n like_o a_o shirt_n nevertheless_o this_o body_n be_v not_o a_o man_n that_o can_v be_v examine_v or_o torment_v neither_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o itself_o man_n for_o man_n can_v be_v so_o call_v but_o when_o he_o be_v live_v and_o compose_v of_o soul_n and_o body_n together_o how_o then_o can_v the_o body_n answer_v without_o a_o soul_n or_o the_o soul_n without_o a_o body_n and_o how_o can_v the_o body_n when_o it_o be_v a_o carcase_n and_o lump_n of_o earth_n feel_v the_o bastinado_n or_o blow_n of_o a_o mace_n so_o that_o o_o moor_n and_o wiseman_n as_o thou_o think_v thyself_o to_o be_v thou_o have_v no_o answer_n but_o silence_n and_o to_o acknowledge_v that_o all_o this_o be_v vanity_n and_o the_o word_n of_o man_n ignorant_a and_o of_o small_a understanding_n i_o will_v also_o o_o moor_n that_o thou_o shall_v tell_v i_o how_o will_v the_o two_o white_a angel_n accompany_v this_o dead_a body_n when_o it_o be_v full_a of_o worm_n and_o when_o it_o be_v corrupt_v and_o stink_v horrible_o and_o what_o blow_n can_v the_o black_a angel_n give_v if_o the_o body_n be_v all_o filth_n worm_n and_o earth_n and_o yet_o the_o suné_fw-fr say_v that_o they_o shall_v beat_v it_o thus_o until_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n so_o that_o o_o moor_n thou_o must_v believe_v that_o the_o word_n of_o the_o suné_fw-fr carry_v no_o good_a reason_n with_o they_o as_o neither_o do_v the_o word_n of_o thy_o prophet_n muhamed_a and_o here_o i_o will_v conclude_v this_o five_o chapter_n chap._n vi_o the_o six_o chapter_n treat_v of_o divers_a offence_n which_o the_o moor_n take_v whilst_o muhamed_a be_v institute_v his_o law_n and_o sect_n by_o reason_n of_o which_o offence_n divers_a moor_n become_v more_o cautious_a and_o wise_a rebel_v against_o muhamed_a and_o return_v to_o their_o former_a sect_n and_o way_n of_o worship_n the_o first_o offence_n be_v upon_o the_o translation_n and_o vision_n which_o muhamed_a have_v one_o night_n and_o his_o ascension_n to_o heaven_n by_o a_o ladder_n and_o his_o ride_v upon_o alborack_n and_o for_o the_o thing_n which_o he_o say_v he_o see_v that_o night_n in_o heaven_n as_o shall_v more_o at_o large_a appear_v in_o our_o eight_o chapter_n for_o which_o the_o moor_n take_v offence_n and_o rebel_v against_o he_o the_o second_o offence_n be_v upon_o the_o alter_n of_o the_o alkibla_fw-mi viz._n when_o muhamed_a dwell_v at_o mecca_n and_o begin_v his_o sect_n he_o command_v they_o to_o make_v their_o prayer_n and_o zala_n towards_o the_o holy_a temple_n of_o jerusalem_n i._n e._n that_o when_o they_o pray_v they_o shall_v turn_v their_o face_n towards_o the_o temple_n of_o jerusalem_n which_o command_n and_o practice_n continue_v among_o the_o moor_n 12_o year_n ten_o year_n at_o mecca_n and_o 2_o year_n at_o medina_n which_o be_v two_o year_n after_o the_o banishment_n which_o banishment_n of_o muhamed_a be_v call_v in_o arabic_a alhigera_n now_o when_o muhamed_a and_o the_o other_o moor_n be_v in_o medina_n there_o be_v also_o divers_a jew_n who_o tell_v the_o moor_n that_o muhame_v command_v his_o follower_n to_o make_v their_o prayer_n towards_o the_o holy_a temple_n of_o jerusalem_n towards_o which_o place_n the_o jew_n also_o make_v their_o prayer_n likewise_o the_o jew_n tell_v they_o that_o muhamed_a command_v the_o moor_n to_o fast_v the_o same_o fast_a as_o the_o jew_n do_v and_o so_o the_o jew_n tell_v they_o that_o they_o moores_n follow_v the_o custom_n of_o the_o jew_n in_o their_o manner_n of_o fast_v and_o of_o make_v their_o prayer_n towards_o the_o holy_a temple_n of_o jerusalem_n which_o two_o commandment_n of_o fast_v and_o prayer_n be_v write_v in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o alcoran_n and_o upon_o occasion_n of_o the_o jew_n talk_v in_o this_o manner_n and_o their_o dispute_v with_o muhamed_a and_o the_o moor_n about_o their_o fast_n and_o prayer_n muhamed_a command_v the_o moor_n that_o they_o shall_v never_o observe_v the_o jewish_a fast_v more_o but_o shall_v fast_o in_o the_o month_n of_o ramadan_n the_o observation_n of_o which_o month_n of_o ramadan_n be_v command_v in_o the_o second_o year_n of_o muhamed_n be_v at_o medina_n twelve_o year_n after_o he_o begin_v his_o law_n and_o if_o the_o moor_n be_v jgnorant_a that_o they_o fast_v the_o jewish_a fast_o i_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n of_o the_o alcoran_n which_o in_o arabic_a say_v thus_o oya_n aynhe_o etc._n etc._n i._n e._n o_o you_o moores_n fast_v be_v command_v unto_o you_o as_o it_o be_v command_v to_o the_o former_a and_o the_o comment_n say_v that_o those_o former_a be_v the_o jew_n and_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o command_n the_o moor_n observe_v the_o jewish_a fast_o 12_o year_n and_o until_o muhamed_a command_v they_o not_o to_o observe_v it_o long_o but_o to_o fast_o in_o the_o month_n ramadan_n and_o this_o other_o command_n be_v in_o the_o same_o book_n and_o chapter_n and_o be_v in_o arabic_a thus_o osabro_n ramadan_n alledi_fw-la onzele_n fihi_fw-la alcoran_n i._n e._n that_o thence_o forward_o they_o shall_v fast_o in_o the_o month_n ramadan_n in_o which_o month_n the_o alcoran_n be_v inspire_v and_o moreover_o the_o same_o year_n he_o command_v they_o to_o change_v the_o alkibla_fw-mi upon_o the_o same_o reason_n of_o the_o jew_n dispute_v and_o that_o they_o shall_v not_o pray_v any_o more_o towards_o the_o holy_a temple_n of_o jerusalem_n but_o only_o towards_o the_o minster_n or_o temple_n of_o mecca_n in_o arabâ—a_n it_o say_v in_o arabic_a thus_o ofaqueli_fw-la gâ—â—ageheque_fw-fr etc._n etc._n which_o signify_v o_o muhamed_a when_o thou_o praie_v turn_v thy_o face_n towards_o the_o temple_n of_o mecca_n and_o you_o moor_n turn_v your_o face_n direct_o towards_o that_o temple_n wheresoever_o you_o be_v you_o must_v turn_v your_o face_n towards_o the_o say_a temple_n of_o mecca_n so_o the_o moor_n upon_o these_o command_n leave_v off_o the_o jewish_a fast_o and_o begin_v to_o fast_o in_o the_o month_n of_o ramadan_n and_o leave_v the_o temple_n of_o jerusalem_n and_o turn_v towards_o the_o temple_n of_o mecca_n and_o forasmuch_o as_o the_o aforesaid_a idol_n be_v in_o the_o say_a temple_n of_o mecca_n the_o jew_n again_o oppose_v the_o moor_n tell_v and_o show_v they_o how_o muhamed_a make_v they_o return_v to_o idolatry_n again_o by_o command_v they_o to_o pray_v towards_o the_o place_n where_o the_o idol_n be_v whereupon_o the_o moor_n be_v offend_v at_o he_o and_o acknowledge_v that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a error_n to_o leave_v the_o holy_a temple_n of_o jerusalem_n and_o the_o holy_a house_n of_o solomon_n and_o to_o turn_v their_o face_n and_o pray_v towards_o mecca_n where_o the_o idol_n be_v towards_o which_o place_n all_o the_o idolater_n of_o the_o country_n about_o mecca_n turn_v their_o face_n in_o honour_n to_o the_o say_a idol_n and_o thus_o the_o moor_n begin_v to_o murmur_v against_o muhamed_a and_o say_v that_o it_o be_v not_o good_a to_o pray_v to_o the_o idol_n and_o thereupon_o divers_a moor_n become_v wary_a and_o circumspect_a and_o turn_v to_o their_o former_a sect_n and_o way_n of_o worship_n and_o when_o muhamed_a see_v the_o great_a offence_n they_o take_v he_o make_v the_o verse_n aforesaid_a and_o thereupon_o the_o moor_n be_v silent_a and_o be_v induce_v to_o make_v prayer_n towards_o the_o temple_n of_o mecca_n say_v that_o god_n be_v please_v with_o it_o and_o have_v command_v it_o by_o the_o alcoran_n and_o this_o be_v the_o moor_n second_o offence_n and_o muhamed_a and_o the_o moor_n continue_v thus_o five_o year_n make_v their_o prayer_n towards_o mecca_n whilst_o the_o aforesaid_a idol_n be_v in_o the_o temple_n of_o mecca_n until_o muhamed_a conquer_a mecca_n and_o destroy_v the_o idol_n and_o most_o part_n of_o the_o people_n of_o mecca_n be_v slay_v by_o the_o sword_n because_o they_o will_v not_o become_v moores_n now_o tell_v i_o o_o moor_n what_o think_v thou_o of_o these_o five_o year_n during_o which_o muhamed_a and_o the_o moor_n make_v their_o prayer_n towards_o the_o place_n where_o the_o idol_n be_v true_o to_o
that_o he_o shall_v understand_v all_o language_n in_o arabic_a it_n be_v express_v thus_o ohtito_fw-la jagua_fw-la ni_fw-fr ih_o alquelin_n the_o five_o and_o last_o be_v that_o spoil_n of_o war_n and_o battaill_n shall_v belong_v to_o he_o only_o which_o be_v in_o arabic_a ohillet_n etc._n etc._n muhamed_a say_v that_o god_n give_v he_o all_o these_o thing_n that_o night_n whereat_o divers_a moor_n be_v offend_v and_o say_v that_o it_o be_v all_o fiction_n and_o lie_n &_o that_o he_o never_o go_v up_o to_o heaven_n nor_o speak_v with_o god_n and_o to_o the_o end_n that_o the_o moor_n shall_v believe_v all_o that_o he_o say_v he_o make_v certain_a verse_n in_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o star_n in_o the_o four_o book_n which_o in_o arabic_a run_v thus_o oguaneginni_n etc._n etc._n which_o in_o prose_n be_v that_o god_n swear_v by_o the_o star_n that_o he_o will_v not_o suffer_v your_o friend_n to_o be_v tempt_v nor_o to_o speak_v untruth_n nor_o to_o speak_v vain_o and_o that_o it_o be_v all_o a_o true_a revelation_n which_o almighty_a god_n have_v show_v unto_o he_o and_o that_o he_o have_v approach_v god_n within_o two_o bow-shot_n or_o thereabouts_o and_o that_o god_n have_v reveal_v to_o his_o servant_n muhamed_a what_o be_v reveal_v to_o he_o and_o that_o muhamed_n heart_n lie_v not_o and_o that_o muhamed_a that_o night_n see_v the_o great_a wonder_n of_o god_n and_o that_o god_n show_v he_o a_o very_a high_a throne_n in_o the_o divine_a empire_n where_o be_v the_o paradise_n of_o god_n all_o this_o interpretation_n be_v draw_v verbatim_o from_o the_o arabic_a in_o the_o chapter_n aforesaid_a so_o that_o when_o the_o moor_n read_v these_o verse_n they_o believe_v and_o hold_v it_o for_o a_o great_a miracle_n though_o divers_a of_o they_o be_v offend_v and_o return_v to_o their_o former_a sect_n in_o the_o eleven_o chapter_n of_o the_o second_o book_n he_o say_v oguama_n etc._n etc._n that_o god_n put_v this_o vision_n for_o a_o great_a offence_n to_o man_n that_o be_v in_o respect_n of_o their_o damage_n who_o be_v offend_v the_o book_n of_o azar_n say_v that_o muhamed_a take_v leave_v of_o his_o creator_n &_o turn_v back_o to_o go_v down_o by_o the_o same_o way_n he_o go_v up_o and_o return_v to_o the_o seven_o heaven_n he_o tell_v the_o angel_n gabriel_n all_o that_o have_v pass_v between_o he_o and_o his_o creator_n and_o the_o angel_n say_v to_o he_o o_o muhamed_a god_n have_v command_v i_o that_o i_o shall_v lead_v thou_o to_o see_v paradise_n and_o the_o secret_n there_o and_o afterward_o we_o will_v go_v to_o hell_n and_o thou_o shall_v see_v the_o secret_n of_o hell_n and_o the_o people_n that_o be_v there_o and_o how_o they_o be_v torment_v of_o the_o devil_n and_o hereupon_o they_o go_v first_o to_o paradise_n and_o see_v its_o riches_n excellency_n and_o beatitude_n and_o the_o chaste_a virgin_n and_o youth_n and_o the_o river_n of_o water_n of_o milk_n of_o honey_n and_o of_o wine_n which_o be_v in_o paradise_n and_o the_o fountain_n and_o their_o name_n the_o palace_n tree_n and_o garden_n all_o which_o you_o shall_v see_v describe_v at_o large_a in_o the_o ensue_a nine_o chapter_n which_o be_v the_o chapter_n of_o paradise_n from_o whence_o they_o go_v to_o hell_n and_o see_v that_o hell_n have_v seven_o gate_n and_o see_v a_o infinite_a of_o devil_n of_o divers_a kind_n and_o figure_n some_o fetter_v with_o chain_n of_o fire_n other_o with_o begin_v and_o bolt_n and_o divers_a man_n sit_v at_o table_n who_o have_v good_a meat_n set_v before_o they_o and_o among_o the_o good_a food_n also_o much_o bad_a and_o unwholesome_a and_o they_o leave_v the_o good_a food_n and_o eat_v the_o bad_a whereupon_o muhamed_a ask_v the_o angel_n gabriel_n what_o man_n those_o be_v and_o he_o tell_v he_o that_o they_o be_v the_o marry_a man_n of_o this_o world_n who_o leave_v their_o own_o good_a wife_n and_o go_v to_o other_o man_n and_o he_o say_v that_o they_o see_v divers_a man_n who_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n else_o but_o drink_n boil_a lead_n and_o fill_v their_o belly_n with_o it_o and_o afterward_o their_o belly_n open_v and_o all_o that_o they_o have_v drink_v run_v out_o and_o then_o they_o drink_v again_o and_o do_v thus_o perpetual_o and_o muhamed_a ask_v the_o angel_n what_o kind_n of_o man_n those_o be_v and_o he_o answer_v that_o they_o be_v those_o who_o eat_v and_o devour_v orphan_n estate_n in_o this_o world_n in_o brief_a he_o say_v he_o see_v divers_a other_o thing_n which_o will_v be_v too_o long_o to_o rehearse_v now_o harken_v o_o moor_n and_o consider_v all_o that_o i_o shall_v say_v upon_o this_o vision_n of_o muhamed_a and_o give_v ear_n to_o three_o thing_n which_o i_o shall_v tell_v thou_o and_o give_v what_o answer_n to_o they_o thou_o can_v the_o first_o be_v a_o natural_a reason_n which_o can_v be_v understand_v but_o by_o reason_n and_o good_a judgement_n the_o second_o be_v a_o philosophical_a and_o astrological_a reason_n which_o can_v be_v understand_v but_o by_o astrology_n and_o philosophy_n the_o three_o contain_v a_o humane_a and_o logical_a reason_n for_o humane_a and_o logical_a reason_n be_v that_o which_o separate_v truth_n from_o falsehood_n now_o for_o the_o first_o which_o be_v hold_v forth_o by_o natural_a reason_n it_o be_v from_o what_o muhamed_a in_o this_o vision_n say_v that_o the_o angel_n gabriel_n bring_v he_o a_o beast_n call_v alborac_n on_o which_o muhamed_a shall_v have_v rid_v but_o she_o will_v not_o yield_v to_o it_o until_o muhamed_a have_v promise_v that_o she_o shall_v be_v the_o first_o beast_n which_o shall_v go_v into_o paradise_n upon_o this_o i_o ask_v thou_o o_o moor_n what_o reason_n be_v there_o that_o a_o bruit_n beast_n shall_v or_o can_v go_v into_o paradise_n yea_o as_o he_o say_v that_o this_o alborac_n shall_v be_v the_o first_o beast_n that_o shall_v go_v into_o paradise_n for_o it_o he_o be_v the_o first_o it_o follow_v that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o second_o and_o a_o three_o now_o how_o can_v it_o enter_v into_o the_o brain_n of_o a_o man_n endue_v with_o natural_a reason_n to_o believe_v that_o bruit_n beast_n shall_v go_v above_o which_o affirm_v that_o beast_n enter_v and_o go_v into_o paradise_n consider_v this_o therefore_o o_o moor_n with_o thy_o natural_a reason_n and_o thou_o will_v see_v that_o it_o be_v ridiculous_a a_o impudent_a lie_n and_o utter_o false_a concern_v which_o beast_n alborac_n i_o do_v further_o ask_v thou_o o_o moor_n who_o be_v a_o alfaquy_n and_o a_o learned_a man_n and_o who_o have_v read_v all_o the_o alcoran_n and_o the_o commentary_n thereon_o viz._n buhatia_n buzamanim_fw-la azamahxari_fw-la acahalibi_n and_o mahuma_n miquite_v and_o who_o have_v also_o read_v the_o law_n and_o sect_n if_o peradventure_o thou_o have_v find_v any_o text_n gloss_n or_o paraphrase_n which_o mention_v this_o alborac_n or_o from_o whence_o he_o come_v or_o whether_o he_o go_v whether_o he_o be_v from_o heaven_n or_o from_o earth_n or_o of_o what_o race_n of_o beast_n he_o be_v or_o what_o become_v of_o he_o after_o that_o muhamed_a come_v from_o heaven_n to_o the_o gate_n of_o the_o temple_n and_o so_o thou_o will_v say_v that_o there_o be_v not_o nor_o have_v be_v any_o mention_n make_v of_o he_o in_o all_o the_o writing_n of_o the_o moor_n although_o he_o ought_v to_o have_v be_v have_v in_o remembrance_n especial_o be_v a_o beast_n which_o have_v so_o much_o privilege_n as_o to_o be_v the_o first_o that_o shall_v go_v into_o paradise_n now_o what_o will_v thou_o answer_v i_o o_o moor_n to_o this_o and_o to_o what_o i_o shall_v say_v further_o concern_v this_o beast_n which_o be_v that_o the_o moor_n say_v and_o believe_v and_o find_v in_o the_o alcoran_n and_o the_o suné_fw-fr that_o those_o which_o go_v into_o paradise_n be_v mazhodin_n guerammum_fw-la bararat_fw-la i._n e._n that_o they_o be_v holy_a bless_a honour_a and_o angelical_a so_o that_o if_o this_o alborac_n be_v go_v into_o paradise_n we_o must_v say_v that_o he_o be_v bless_v honour_a and_o angelical_a and_o thus_o o_o moor_n thou_o have_v no_o other_o answer_n to_o this_o first_o conclusion_n but_o silence_n for_o the_o second_o i_o
ever_o die_v or_o have_v any_o hurt_n after_o this_o manner_n the_o alcoran_n and_o the_o suné_fw-fr describe_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o other_o world_n the_o say_a banquet_n shall_v be_v make_v in_o the_o paradise_n call_v genete_n alcoduz_n but_o muhamed_a will_v make_v another_o feast_n to_o all_o the_o moor_n at_o his_o say_a fountain_n call_v alcauzar_n and_o shall_v give_v they_o drink_v with_o his_o own_o hand_n as_o the_o suné_n say_v and_o in_o the_o book_n call_v in_o arabic_a quitebe_n alainiar_n i_o e._n the_o book_n of_o flower_n the_o word_n in_o arabic_a run_v thus_o aneguaquesin_n hale_v etc._n etc._n i._n e._n that_o muhume_v will_v be_v at_o his_o fountain_n and_o the_o moorish_a people_n shall_v pass_v by_o it_o and_o muhamed_a with_o his_o own_o hand_n shall_v give_v every_o one_o of_o they_o to_o drink_v of_o the_o water_n of_o that_o fountain_n and_o those_o that_o drink_v of_o this_o fonntaine_n he_o say_v shall_v never_o thirst_v in_o the_o say_a book_n of_o flower_n muhamed_a say_v that_o the_o water_n of_o this_o fountain_n be_v white_a than_o milk_n and_o sweet_a than_o honey_n and_o the_o bucket_n bowl_n and_o glass_n of_o this_o fountain_n be_v as_o many_o in_o number_n as_o the_o star_n of_o heaven_n now_o i_o will_v speak_v to_o thou_o o_o moor_n and_o say_v something_o upon_o this_o glory_n which_o you_o moores_n be_v to_o enjoy_v in_o the_o other_o world_n and_o although_o i_o be_o weary_a and_o trouble_v with_o write_v so_o many_o gullerye_n and_o thing_n against_o reason_n and_o all_o law_n nevertheless_o i_o will_v speak_v of_o two_o thing_n which_o i_o find_v want_v in_o your_o paradise_n and_o in_o all_o the_o glory_n aforesaid_a the_o first_o defect_n be_v that_o whereas_o the_o alcoran_n and_o the_o suné_n hold_v forth_o such_o and_o so_o great_a paradise_n so_o stately_a build_v and_o so_o rich_o adorn_v they_o make_v no_o mention_n of_o easement_n and_o that_o they_o be_v also_o magnificent_o build_v especial_o have_v speak_v of_o so_o much_o eat_v and_o of_o so_o much_o drink_v viz._n of_o honey_n milk_n claret_n and_o hippocras_n the_o second_o defect_n be_v that_o he_o make_v no_o mention_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o woman_n for_o whereas_o the_o alcoran_n and_o the_o suné_n have_v promise_v that_o the_o man_n shall_v have_v chaste_a virgin_n with_o who_o they_o shall_v sport_v and_o take_v their_o pleasure_n as_o aforesaid_a they_o ought_v in_o like_a manner_n to_o have_v mention_v the_o woman_n and_o to_o have_v give_v they_o eternal_a servant_n to_o have_v take_v their_o pleasure_n with_o they_o and_o then_o the_o woman_n will_v also_o have_v have_v eternal_a glory_n but_o tell_v i_o o_o moor_n what_o will_v the_o woman_n who_o shall_v be_v at_o this_o feast_n say_v and_o do_v when_o they_o shall_v see_v themselves_o comfortless_a and_o when_o they_o shall_v see_v their_o husband_n which_o they_o have_v in_o this_o world_n sport_v with_o and_o embrace_v their_o virgin_n the_o space_n of_o 50_o year_n which_o he_o say_v they_o shall_v remain_v embrace_v sport_v and_o take_v their_o pleasure_n therefore_o o_o moor_n i_o say_v that_o the_o woman_n glory_n will_v be_v turn_v into_o punishment_n and_o sorrow_n especial_o when_o each_o of_o the_o man_n shall_v take_v his_o virgin_n and_o shall_v go_v away_o with_o she_o to_o his_o mansion_n or_o fortress_n and_o the_o woman_n shall_v be_v leave_v alone_o and_o comfortless_o like_o widow_n so_o that_o o_o moor_n consider_v all_o this_o above_o thou_o may_v conclude_v that_o this_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n of_o god_n nor_o of_o a_o prophet_n and_o messenger_n send_v from_o god_n and_o thou_o will_v know_v that_o it_o be_v all_o as_o solomon_n say_v vanity_n of_o vanity_n and_o all_o vanity_n and_o here_o i_o will_v conclude_v this_o nine_o chapter_n chap._n x._o the_o ten_o chapter_n show_v how_o the_o alcoran_n contradict_v itself_o in_o divers_a place_n and_o trcate_v of_o divers_a thing_n in_o the_o alcoran_n which_o be_v unseemly_a and_o superfluous_a likewise_o of_o some_o miracle_n which_o muhamed_a say_v he_o do_v although_o they_o rather_o resemble_v gull_n than_o miracle_n the_o alcoran_n in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o second_o book_n and_o in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o four_o book_n say_v that_o god_n curse_v the_o devil_n and_o expel_v he_o from_o the_o glory_n of_o paradise_n and_o cast_v he_o into_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n for_o ever_o likewise_o in_o the_o aforequoted_a chapter_n it_o say_v that_o the_o devil_n tell_v god_n that_o he_o will_v always_o be_v man_n mortal_a enemy_n and_o will_v always_o tempt_v man_n and_o torment_v they_o furthermore_o the_o alcoran_n in_o divers_a place_n admonish_v man_n say_v that_o the_o devil_n be_v man_n apparent_a enemy_n all_o which_o be_v notorious_a and_o manifest_a in_o the_o alcoran_n and_o after_o all_o this_o the_o alcoran_n say_v that_o the_o devil_n shall_v hear_v the_o alcoran_n and_o shall_v become_v the_o friend_n of_o muhamed_a of_o man_n and_o of_o god_n and_o that_o god_n will_v pardon_v their_o sin_n and_o promise_v they_o the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n as_o appear_v by_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o of_o caf_n and_o of_o the_o glorious_a in_o the_o four_o book_n furthermore_o the_o alcoran_n contradict_v itself_o when_o he_o say_v in_o the_o first_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n that_o it_o be_v give_v in_o the_o month_n of_o ramadan_n and_o in_o the_o chapter_n of_o smoke_n and_o in_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o holy_a night_n in_o the_o four_o book_n he_o say_v that_o the_o alcocan_n be_v give_v in_o one_o night_n both_o which_o the_o course_n of_o above_o twenty_o years-time_n contradict_v during_o which_o muhamed_a be_v make_v the_o alcoran_n viz._n ten_o year_n in_o mecca_n and_o 13_o year_n in_o medina_n which_o appear_v by_o the_o title_n of_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o alcoran_n for_o there_o be_v chapter_n of_o the_o alcoran_n which_o be_v call_v sorath_n midiniya_n i_o mean_v that_o the_o song_n or_o chapter_n which_o be_v make_v at_o mecca_n during_o the_o ten_o year_n that_o muhame_v dwell_v there_o be_v call_v sorath_n mekiya_n i._n e._n song_n of_o mecca_n and_o the_o chapter_n which_o be_v make_v at_o medina_n during_o the_o thirteen_o year_n that_o muhamed_a dwell_v there_o be_v call_v sorath_n medeniya_n i._n e._n song_n make_v at_o medina_n and_o there_o be_v not_o mention_v make_v at_o mecca_n in_o all_o the_o ten_o year_n of_o any_o of_o those_o chapter_n make_v at_o medina_n and_o the_o chapter_n which_o be_v make_v at_o mecca_n be_v not_o make_v at_o medina_n wherefore_o i_o conclude_v that_o the_o alcoran_n be_v twenty_o three_o year_n in_o compose_v and_o do_v not_o descend_v in_o one_o night_n nor_o in_o one_o month_n as_o the_o alcoran_n say_v furthermore_o by_o the_o alcoran_n itself_o it_o appear_v that_o it_o be_v not_o inspire_v in_o one_o night_n nor_o in_o one_o month_n by_o the_o chapter_n and_o verse_n which_o be_v make_v upon_o several_a occasion_n as_o upon_o action_n offence_n and_o upon_o controversy_n &_o difference_n between_o muhamed_a and_o his_o wife_n and_o by_o the_o diversity_n of_o commandment_n and_o by_o the_o alteration_n which_o we_o have_v show_v above_o which_o act_n and_o occurrence_n happen_v during_o the_o thirteen_o year_n which_o muhame_v dwell_v at_o medina_n and_o there_o be_v no_o mention_n make_v of_o they_o at_o mecca_n during_o the_o first_o ten_o year_n that_o he_o dwell_v there_o how_o be_v it_o then_o o_o moor_n that_o thou_o say_v the_o alcoran_n descend_v in_o a_o night_n or_o in_o a_o month_n and_o if_o we_o shall_v say_v it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o alcoran_n descend_v in_o a_o night_n or_o in_o a_o month_n than_o i_o will_v have_v thou_o tell_v i_o o_o moor_n where_o be_v this_o night_n or_o this_o month_n whether_o it_o be_v at_o medina_n or_o at_o mecca_n if_o thou_o say_v that_o it_o be_v at_o mecca_n than_o i_o answer_v that_o those_o chapter_n which_o be_v make_v at_o medina_n be_v not_o to_o be_v repute_v or_o judge_v for_o the_o alcoran_n and_o if_o thou_o say_v that_o this_o night_n be_v at_o medina_n than_o i_o say_v likewise_o that_o the_o chapter_n and_o verse_n make_v at_o mecca_n be_v not_o to_o be_v repute_v for_o the_o alcoran_n so_o that_o take_v it_o which_o way_n you_o will_v we_o must_v say_v that_o the_o alcoran_n say_v and_o unsay_v affirm_v and_o deny_v the_o same_o thing_n furthermore_o the_o alcoran_n contradict_v itself_o when_o it_o say_v in_o the_o four_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n that_o he_o charge_v the_o moor_n to_o hold_v twelve_o thing_n as_o forbid_a and_o prohibit_v to_o be_v eat_v in_o arabic_a he_o say_v thus_o o_o horrimet_fw-la
etc._n etc._n i._n e._n that_o god_n have_v forbid_v the_o moor_n that_o which_o be_v murrain_n blood_n swine_n that_o which_o be_v offer_v to_o idol_n and_o that_o which_o have_v be_v strangle_v that_o which_o die_v by_o the_o thrust_n of_o a_o horn_n or_o by_o a_o casualty_n and_o also_o wild_a beast_n &c_n &c_n he_o forbid_v all_o these_o thing_n in_o the_o say_a chapter_n the_o which_o also_o the_o moor_n do_v hold_v for_o prohibit_v and_o in_o another_o song_n in_o the_o five_o chapter_n of_o the_o first_o book_n god_n command_v and_o charge_v muhamed_a to_o tell_v the_o moor_n that_o they_o shall_v say_v nothing_o be_v prohibit_v and_o forbid_v to_o be_v eat_v or_o drink_v but_o murrain_n blood_n swine_n flesh_n and_o that_o which_o be_v offer_v to_o idol_n the_o say_v verse_n in_o arabic_a say_v thus_o o_o zolle_n agido_fw-la etc._n etc._n so_o that_o the_o moor_n in_o the_o first_o chapter_n forbid_v twelve_o thing_n and_o in_o the_o other_o chapter_n contradict_v themselves_o they_o forbid_v but_o four_o and_o if_o thou_o will_v say_v o_o moor_n that_o the_o verse_n of_o the_o last_o chapter_n be_v revoke_v by_o the_o first_o i_o prove_v that_o the_o first_o much_o less_o the_o last_o be_v not_o revoke_v but_o be_v verse_n which_o remain_v in_o force_n and_o virtue_n and_o which_o be_v call_v in_o arabic_a ayetum_n mohquemetum_n i_o e._n decisory_n and_o valid_a verse_n nay_o it_o be_v not_o find_v in_o all_o the_o alcoran_n that_o any_o former_a verse_n revoke_v the_o second_o for_o it_o may_v be_v reasonable_a that_o the_o second_o may_v revoke_v the_o first_o but_o not_o that_o the_o first_o shall_v revoke_v the_o second_o therefore_o i_o say_v that_o if_o the_o first_o verse_n be_v valid_a and_o decisory_a the_o second_o verse_n must_v likewise_o be_v valid_a and_o decisory_a and_o this_o be_v so_o conclude_v among_o the_o moor_n viz._n that_o both_o the_o verse_n shall_v be_v valid_a and_o decisory_a what_o say_v thou_o now_o o_o moor_n in_o this_o great_a confusion_n where_o one_o verse_n forbid_v twelve_o thing_n and_o the_o other_o forbid_v but_o four_o for_o hence_o it_o plain_o appear_v that_o these_o be_v not_o verse_n of_o god_n nor_o of_o a_o prophet_n send_v from_o god_n furthermore_o the_o alcoran_n in_o the_o eleven_o chapter_n of_o the_o second_o book_n write_v that_o the_o use_n of_o wine_n be_v allow_v the_o word_n in_o arabic_a say_v thus_o o_o guamin_n zamarati_fw-la etc._n etc._n which_o signify_v that_o of_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o date_n of_o the_o palm_n tree_n and_o of_o grape_n you_o may_v drink_v and_o take_v lawful_a sustentation_n by_o force_n of_o which_o verse_n the_o moor_n drink_v wine_n lawful_o the_o space_n of_o twelve_o year_n but_o afterward_o upon_o a_o fancy_n which_o muhamed_a take_v he_o forbid_v it_o by_o word_n of_o mouth_n not_o by_o the_o alcoran_n so_o that_o muhamed_a contradict_v the_o alcoran_n and_o thus_o in_o divers_a chapter_n you_o find_v that_o the_o alcoran_n contradict_v itself_o likewise_o the_o alcoran_n say_v to_o muhamed_a that_o if_o he_o doubt_v whether_o the_o alcoran_n be_v of_o god_n or_o of_o man_n he_o shall_v inquire_v of_o the_o jew_n and_o christian_n who_o have_v read_v the_o scripture_n before_o he_o the_o word_n in_o arabic_a be_v thus_o o_o fainz_fw-fr unte_fw-mi etc._n etc._n i._n e._n verbatim_o o_o muhamed_a for_o the_o same_o as_o it_o then_o be_v it_o still_o be_v and_o if_o it_o have_v be_v alter_v at_o the_o time_n of_o muhamed_a god_n shall_v have_v give_v muhamed_a notice_n of_o it_o and_o have_v give_v he_o to_o know_v that_o at_o first_o it_o be_v good_a but_o then_o bad_a so_o that_o o_o moor_n thou_o have_v no_o right_n on_o thy_o side_n notwithstanding_o whatsoever_o the_o moor_n and_o musselman_n say_v for_o he_o that_o bring_v the_o testimony_n of_o two_o for_o proof_n of_o his_o own_o cause_n do_v yield_v that_o those_o witness_n be_v good_a and_o true_a not_o bad_a and_o reprochable_a because_o if_o they_o be_v reprochable_a and_o of_o ill_a fame_n they_o be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v receive_v for_o witness_n now_o if_o god_n bid_v muhamed_a to_o inquire_v of_o the_o jew_n and_o christian_n for_o his_o own_o information_n and_o satisfy_v himself_o from_o their_o two_o scripture_n you_o must_v conclude_v o_o moor_n that_o those_o scripture_n at_o the_o time_n of_o such_o inquiry_n be_v good_a and_o true_a as_o still_o they_o be_v and_o will_v always_o be_v and_o for_o this_o reason_n o_o moor_n thou_o must_v be_v silent_a and_o acknowledge_v that_o the_o
