falsehood_n and_o error_n and_o not_o god_n the_o devil_n be_v the_o prince_n of_o the_o wickedness_n and_o darkness_n of_o this_o world_n stir_v and_o solicit_v man_n therein_o to_o wickedness_n pleasure_n either_o the_o gain_n and_o profit_n either_o the_o easiness_n and_o facility_n of_o a_o thing_n propose_v and_o so_o be_v entice_v our_o own_o concupiscence_n therefore_o draw_v we_o away_o and_o entice_v to_o evil_n be_v the_o natural_a and_o proper_a cause_n of_o evil_a temptation_n we_o may_v not_o ascribe_v our_o temptation_n unto_o god_n but_o unto_o ourselves_o and_o this_o be_v save_v then_o be_v it_o no_o less_o absurdity_n to_o say_v that_o wicked_a man_n by_o like_a faith_n can_v be_v save_v see_v they_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o goodness_n void_a of_o all_o righteousness_n far_o from_o all_o fruit_n of_o sanctification_n which_o thing_n this_o holy_a apostle_n teach_v we_o in_o this_o place_n thou_o beleve_v there_o be_v one_o god_n thou_o do_v well_o the_o devil_n also_o believe_v and_o tremble_v final_o then_o it_o may_v herehence_a appear_v necessary_a that_o as_o man_n be_v true_o justify_v before_o god_n through_o faith_n in_o christ_n so_o either_o rare_o hear_v of_o or_o unusiall_a in_o other_o place_n of_o holy_a scripture_n for_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o scripture_n teach_v we_o the_o necessity_n of_o good_a work_n and_o fruit_n of_o sanctification_n in_o the_o saint_n without_o which_o all_o holiness_n be_v hypocrisy_n all_o devotion_n dissimulation_n and_o to_o this_o end_n not_o only_o the_o prophet_n in_o their_o book_n but_o our_o saviour_n christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o holy_a apostle_n in_o their_o sacred_a writing_n have_v move_v man_n profess_v godliness_n to_o the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n lest_o they_o otherwise_o do_v be_v just_o reproove_v for_o their_o hypocrisy_n and_o for_o asmuch_o as_o it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o matter_n of_o most_o great_a account_n in_o all_o time_n to_o
