not_o able_a to_o eschew_v the_o condemnation_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n how_o shall_v we_o be_v able_a to_o eschew_v the_o condemnation_n of_o god_n who_o see_v all_o the_o secret_n of_o the_o heart_n so_o that_o man_n be_v more_o than_o bless_a that_o be_v not_o condemn_v of_o his_o own_o heart_n for_o as_o to_o this_o conscience_n it_o be_v a_o faithful_a pledge_n keeper_n the_o pawn_n that_o it_o receive_v it_o render_v of_o good_a turn_n it_o give_v a_o joyful_a testimony_n of_o evil_a turn_n it_o give_v a_o bitter_a testimony_n and_o suppose_v the_o most_o part_n of_o our_o deed_n be_v now_o cover_v from_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n and_o her_o testimony_n for_o the_o most_o part_n hide_v from_o ourself_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o day_n come_v which_o now_o be_v at_o hand_n in_o the_o which_o all_o these_o thing_n that_o be_v now_o hide_v under_o darkness_n shall_v come_v to_o light_v and_o the_o secret_n of_o all_o heart_n shall_v be_v disclose_v the_o book_n of_o conscience_n shall_v be_v cast_v open_a and_o he_o that_o bring_v not_o in_o these_o book_n the_o discharge_n of_o his_o sin_n in_o register_n purchase_v by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n jesus_n whereby_o our_o conscience_n be_v only_a washen_n from_o these_o dead_a work_n he_o that_o bring_v not_o this_o discharge_n with_o he_o to_o he_o shall_v his_o whole_a sin_n present_v themselves_o so_o that_o not_o only_o shall_v he_o be_v judge_v by_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o righteous_a judge_n but_o his_o own_o conscience_n which_o in_o this_o life_n d_v he_o shall_v condemn_v he_o there_o and_o all_o the_o angel_n of_o god_n with_o his_o elect_a child_n shall_v justify_v his_o judgement_n therefore_o it_o be_v time_n we_o have_v now_o our_o discharge_n register_v now_o will_v god_n i_o may_v obtain_v this_o of_o the_o office_n bearer_n in_o church_n or_o policy_n that_o they_o will_v now_o cast_v they_o in_o their_o life_n to_o have_v the_o approbation_n of_o their_o conscience_n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o death_n the_o lord_n grant_v it_o to_o all_o they_o that_o seek_v to_o serve_v he_o but_o special_o the_o lord_n make_v you_o sir_n so_o to_o walk_v in_o your_o life_n that_o you_o may_v have_v a_o joyful_a testimony_n of_o your_o conscience_n in_o your_o death_n that_o be_v approve_v with_o your_o own_o conscience_n and_o the_o testimony_n of_o god_n within_o your_o conscience_n in_o the_o mouth_n of_o these_o two_o faithful_a witness_n your_o salvation_n may_v be_v sure_a not_o in_o yourself_o but_o in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n jesus_n who_o mercy_n be_v only_o our_o merit_n as_o this_o be_v desire_v in_o he_o so_o it_o be_v require_v in_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o officebearer_n lord_n grant_v that_o they_o may_v follow_v such_o a_o trade_n of_o life_n that_o in_o their_o death_n their_o conscience_n may_v make_v mention_n of_o their_o deed_n to_o their_o joy_n thus_o far_o for_o this_o part_n of_o his_o behaviour_n now_o rest_v one_o thing_n to_o speak_v and_o so_o i_o shall_v end_v t●ke_v up_o the_o manner_n of_o his_o behaviour_n under_o this_o disease_n he_o be_v straighten_a with_o the_o extremity_n of_o his_o disease_n on_o the_o one_o side_n and_o with_o the_o lord_n threaten_v on_o the_o other_o what_o do_v he_o in_o this_o strait_a pinch_n he_o seek_v by_o prayer_n to_o the_o same_o god_n that_o strike_v he_o and_o now_o by_o his_o prophet_n threaten_v he_o this_o be_v wonderful_a smite_v for_o if_o he_o have_v have_v to_o do_v with_o any_o other_o person_n as_o namely_o if_o he_o have_v have_v to_o do_v with_o the_o king_n of_o ashur_n as_o before_o it_o have_v be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o have_v retire_v to_o god_n but_o now_o have_v to_o do_v with_o god_n and_o god_n apparent_o be_v his_o enemy_n heal_v thus_o far_o concern_v his_o repentance_n now_o as_o to_o the_o prorogation_n of_o his_o day_n the_o question_n may_v rise_v whether_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o he_o to_o crave_v it_o or_o not_o i_o shall_v touch_v it_o but_o in_o general_a and_o first_o i_o say_v in_o hezechias_n person_n it_o be_v very_o lawful_a for_o he_o lack_v posterity_n and_o in_o this_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n have_v not_o take_v effect_n in_o he_o and_o so_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o he_o to_o seek_v the_o accomplishment_n of_o the_o lord_n promise_v make_v to_o his_o father_n david_n and_o also_o the_o reformation_n of_o the_o church_n be_v but_o new_o begin_v the_o commonwealth_n be_v not_o as_o yet_o establish_v and_o all_o these_o crave_v the_o presence_n of_o the_o king_n so_o if_o we_o look_v to_o the_o particular_a in_o he_o it_o be_v lawful_a i_o come_v to_o the_o general_a it_o be_v lawful_a at_o some_o time_n to_o seek_v at_o god_n prorogation_n of_o day_n and_o my_o reason_n be_v this_o length_n of_o day_n be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a blessing_n temporal_a that_o we_o have_v as_o in_o that_o promise_n annex_v to_o the_o commandment_n appear_v and_o as_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o 2._o chap._n 27._o to_o the_o philip._n when_o he_o make_v mention_n of_o the_o disease_n of_o epaphroditus_n he_o say_v no_o doubt_n he_o be_v sick_a very_o near_o unto_o death_n but_o the_o lord_n have_v mercy_n on_o he_o and_o not_o only_o upon_o he_o but_o on_o i_o also_o so_o he_o count_v the_o prorogation_n of_o day_n a_o special_a mercy_n and_o there_o be_v no_o mercy_n nor_o benefit_n of_o god_n but_o it_o may_v be_v crave_v so_o that_o it_o be_v crave_v to_o the_o right_a end_n for_o we_o direct_v our_o life_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o use_v it_o as_o pilgrim_n and_o stranger_n seek_v our_o home_n and_o have_v it_o ready_a to_o lay_v down_o in_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n

in_o the_o end_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n delay_v his_o deliverance_n that_o partly_o these_o hasty_a man_n may_v be_v ashamed_a and_o that_o his_o glory_n may_v be_v the_o great_a in_o the_o deliverance_n of_o his_o own_o in_o the_o five_o verse_n the_o lord_n be_v praise_v from_o the_o public_a experience_n of_o the_o church_n for_o the_o number_n of_o his_o blessing_n which_o he_o bestow_v &_o be_v to_o bestow_v upon_o his_o church_n can_v be_v express_v there_o be_v no_o heart_n able_a to_o conceive_v nor_o mouth_n able_a to_o express_v the_o infinite_a number_n body_n as_o it_o be_v and_o lift_v they_o up_o to_o the_o very_a heaven_n then_o how_o great_a shall_v the_o full_a joy_n be_v i_o pray_v you_o when_o the_o whole_a soul_n shall_v be_v possess_v full_o as_o for_o the_o greatness_n and_o excellency_n of_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v no_o way_n able_a to_o conceive_v or_o the_o tongue_n to_o express_v albeit_o how_o ever_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o conceive_v they_o let_v every_o one_o travel_n to_o make_v a_o further_o and_o a_o great_a progress_n in_o this_o knowledge_n for_o the_o more_o we_o profit_n in_o this_o exercise_n the_o more_o thankful_a may_v we_o be_v to_o god_n thus_o much_o concern_v the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o psalm_n in_o the_o second_o part_n i_o shall_v be_v short_a by_o god_n grace_n for_o this_o his_o experience_n which_o he_o have_v find_v he_o offer_v his_o service_n free_o to_o god_n he_o offer_v himself_o most_o voluntary_o as_o one_o who_o delight_v in_o the_o law_n of_o the_o lord_n as_o one_o who_o have_v proclaim_v his_o mercy_n and_o justice_n and_o the_o rest_n of_o his_o virtue_n in_o time_n past_a and_o he_o confess_v in_o the_o 6._o verse_n that_o this_o obedience_n flow_v not_o out_o of_o himself_o but_o of_o the_o pierce_a of_o the_o ear_n of_o his_o heart_n it_o please_v the_o lord_n to_o prepare_v and_o open_v the_o ear_n of_o his_o heart_n that_o i_o hear_v thou_o cry_v on_o i_o lord_n in_o thy_o book_n in_o the_o first_o word_n of_o thy_o book_n harken_v and_o take_v heed_n o_o david_n and_o here_o he_o say_v i_o be_o come_v if_o we_o follow_v the_o literal_a meaning_n of_o the_o word_n this_o be_v the_o effect_n and_o meaning_n but_o if_o we_o follow_v the_o mystical_a sense_n meaning_n there_o be_v here_o a_o clear_a prophecy_n of_o the_o messiah_n for_o the_o apostle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n chap._n 10.5_o bring_v in_o christ_n jesus_n speak_v these_o same_o word_n of_o himself_o which_o david_n here_o speak_v in_o the_o 7.8_o to_o wit_n when_o he_o come_v into_o the_o world_n when_o he_o take_v on_o our_o nature_n and_o be_v clothe_v with_o our_o flesh_n he_o speak_v these_o word_n contain_v in_o the_o 7.8_o and_o 9_o verse_n as_o to_o the_o word_n the_o apostle_n apply_v they_o otherwise_o to_o christ_n then_o david_n here_o do_v to_o himself_o for_o in_o the_o word_n which_o the_o apostle_n cit_v there_o be_v a_o clause_n change_v for_o where_o david_n say_v thou_o have_v pierce_v my_o ear_n the_o apostle_n say_v thou_o have_v give_v i_o a_o body_n there_o appear_v to_o be_v a_o great_a difference_n here_o yet_o i_o say_v the_o sentence_n remain_v one_o howsoever_o the_o word_n differ_v and_o to_o let_v you_o see_v that_o the_o sentence_n be_v one_o reconcile_v this_o be_v my_o reason_n as_o the_o
