compose_v our_o liturgy_n or_o those_o that_o may_v compose_v a_o new_a one_o either_o be_v or_o may_v be_v person_n qualify_v and_o gift_v for_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n and_o for_o edify_v of_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n and_o consequent_o without_o exception_n and_o that_o the_o subject_a and_o matter_n of_o our_o liturgy_n be_v or_o the_o matter_n and_o content_n of_o another_o liturgy_n may_v be_v either_o be_v or_o may_v be_v will_v make_v good_a my_o assertion_n for_o liturgy_n in_o general_n both_o for_o the_o credenda_fw-la and_o agenda_fw-la for_o prayer_n thanksgiving_n instruction_n and_o exhortation_n according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n i_o think_v no_o sober_a man_n will_v deny_v now_o if_o the_o person_n and_o matter_n be_v grant_v to_o be_v such_o than_o i_o conceive_v that_o it_o can_v be_v as_o little_o gainsay_v but_o that_o the_o compose_n of_o such_o form_n by_o such_o person_n be_v as_o true_o a_o gift_n and_o a_o exercise_n of_o some_o part_n of_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n as_o their_o compose_n of_o prayer_n and_o sermon_n and_o afterward_o pray_v and_o preach_v they_o without_o book_n be_v by_o the_o several_a minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n this_o or_o that_o form_n of_o word_n and_o without_o book_n or_o within_o book_n can_v alter_v the_o case_n for_o that_o which_o give_v the_o very_a be_v to_o sermon_n conceive_a prayer_n etc._n etc._n be_v the_o wit_n and_o understanding_n of_o man_n and_o consequent_o they_o be_v many_o time_n corrupt_v and_o it_o be_v the_o like_a wit_n and_o understanding_n of_o man_n that_o give_v be_v to_o liturgy_n jam_fw-la sumus_fw-la ergo_fw-la pares_fw-la in_o this_o though_o happy_o they_o may_v have_v their_o reciprocal_a excellency_n and_o preeminency_n one_o over_o the_o other_o in_o this_o or_o that_o particular_a consideration_n i_o hope_v and_o be_o very_o persuade_v that_o this_o author_n when_o he_o pen_v this_o conclusion_n not_o to_o be_v understand_v bare_o of_o a_o ability_n to_o read_v which_o any_o infidel_n or_o child_n may_v do_v but_o of_o read_v the_o public_a service_n of_o god_n by_o those_o who_o god_n have_v in_o their_o orison_n preach_n collation_n catechise_n or_o other_o teach_n in_o public_a nay_o be_v the_o word_n as_o he_o relate_v they_o yet_o the_o general_a and_o constant_a practice_n of_o the_o church_n have_v be_v diametrical_o contrary_a to_o those_o very_a word_n and_o sense_n of_o they_o do_v manifest_a to_o all_o the_o world_n that_o the_o intendment_n of_o they_o be_v never_o to_o be_v exclusive_a of_o the_o exercise_n of_o the_o minister_n gift_n and_o grace_n in_o the_o public_a worship_n of_o god_n as_o this_o author_n suggest_v it_o to_o be_v nay_o suppose_v there_o be_v such_o a_o prohibition_n in_o the_o strict_a sense_n and_o that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v strict_o observe_v which_o be_v as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v to_o null_a the_o very_a ordinance_n of_o god_n and_o to_o stifle_v his_o spirit_n which_o blow_v where_o it_o list_v yet_o that_o make_v nothing_o against_o liturgy_n in_o general_n that_o may_v be_v compose_v and_o enjoin_v without_o any_o such_o sting_n or_o venom_n in_o the_o tail_n of_o they_o sure_o our_o author_n can_v intend_v that_o whilst_o he_o be_v read_v of_o the_o liturgy_n or_o administer_a according_a unto_o it_o either_o of_o the_o sacrament_n or_o any_o of_o the_o ordinance_n that_o he_o can_v use_v his_o own_o talent_n eodem_fw-la momento_n if_o he_o shall_v thus_o vain_o argue_v i_o must_v then_o refer_v he_o unto_o the_o command_v and_o power_n of_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n and_o unto_o the_o 1_o cor._n 14.26_o 27._o where_o all_o thing_n be_v command_v to_o be_v do_v for_o order_n and_o decency_n and_o in_o follow_v the_o sermon_n which_o be_v far_o from_o a_o command_n that_o minister_n shall_v not_o use_v or_o exercise_v any_o spiritual_a gift_n etc._n etc._n the_o same_o book_n also_o direct_v that_o the_o curate_n of_o every_o parish_n shall_v after_o the_o second_o lesson_n at_o evening_n prayer_n open_o in_o the_o church_n instruct_v and_o examine_v child_n etc._n etc._n which_o be_v so_o far_o from_o prohibit_v the_o use_n of_o the_o minister_n gift_n and_o talent_n that_o it_o command_v the_o exercise_n of_o they_o then_o consult_v the_o book_n of_o order_v priest_n and_o deacon_n and_o then_o you_o will_v find_v that_o the_o bishop_n give_v many_o pious_a exhortation_n to_o those_o that_o be_v to_o be_v ordain_v declare_v it_o to_o be_v their_o duty_n and_o office_n to_o instruct_v preach_v premonish_v teach_v seed_n and_o provide_v for_o the_o lord_n family_n and_o withal_o faithful_a diligence_n to_o use_v both_o public_a and_o private_a admonition_n and_o exhortation_n as_o well_o to_o the_o sick_a as_o to_o the_o whole_a etc._n etc._n and_o then_o ordain_v they_o bid_v they_o to_o be_v faithful_a dispenser_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o holy_a sacrament_n be_v not_o these_o liberty_n nay_o command_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o napkin-up_a their_o talent_n but_o shall_v employ_v and_o put_v they_o out_o unto_o feneration_n spiritual_n and_o
