A SHORT ITALIAN Dictionary Expounded Into ENGLISH IN THE Which is contained all the WORDS that are used in the ITALIAN TONGUE ending in the Vowel e them that shall read the PREFACE following shall have a particular Intelligence of the benefit which they shall receive of this said LITTLE DICTIONARY Those that shall have a desire to have this Little BOOK for to profit by shall do well to read those places where they shall find divers WORDS expounded in divers manners in the which I know they shall find pleasure enough and for the other single WORDS that you shall have need of to find out the Explication you may find them all here in Order ALPHABETICALLY LONDON Printed for Thomas Clark and are to besold at his Shop at the East end of the Old Exchange 1666. SOme of my Scholars having desired me to shew them in an Alphabetical order all the words in our language that end in the Vowel e except Verbs Articles and Monosyllable Particles which words rather belong to a Grammar than a Dictionary I was willing to give them content and therefore have joyned them to my Phrases where they may see in a small Index all the words belonging to the two Genders of one Termination a●d thereby know how to apply to every word its proper Article which is a work that was never yet done by any Master of our Language Now to know the words that belong to the masculine Gender you shall find at their ends the Letter m and those that are F●minines the Letter f and those that are of the neuter Gender or Common you shall find the Letter c as for Adverbs you may know them by the Termination of these two Syllables mente You may perceive that I have used all possible diligence to collect out of the Dictionaries onely those words which I knew to be necessary omitting the rest my end being to give my Scholars onely so much of the language as is in use The other words which you shall find ending in the Vowel O and in the Vowel A ●ou are to observe that the one are all Masculines except man● ana the other Feminines except Luca Poeta Pr●seta Boia Pianeta Duca INDEX A B ABbate m. an Abbot Abbiettione f.
