which_o be_v prophesy_v of_o call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o eliah_n and_o we_o may_v think_v that_o the_o scribe_n most_o think_v that_o it_o shall_v be_v eliah_n in_o person_n matt._n xvii_o 10_o this_o difference_n and_o doubt_n he_o think_v can_v be_v determine_v but_o by_o the_o event_n and_o fulfil_n of_o the_o thing_n themselves_o no_o man_n say_v ibid._n maimonides_n can_v know_v how_o both_o eliah_n and_o the_o messiah_n as_o here_o promise_v yet_o to_o come_v but_o perhaps_o they_o will_v here_o be_v ready_a to_o retort_v and_o ask_v why_o then_o do_v christian_n yet_o dissent_v among_o themselves_o concern_v the_o exposition_n of_o this_o prophecy_n some_o of_o they_o affirm_v that_o here_o be_v mean_v eliah_n in_o person_n and_o that_o he_o be_v yet_o to_o come_v as_o well_o as_o any_o jew_n do_v it_o be_v to_o be_v confess_v that_o here_o be_v a_o wide_a difference_n betwixt_o christian_n then_o may_v be_v wish_v there_o be_v though_o on_o other_o ground_n than_o the_o jew_n go_v the_o jew_n whether_o they_o understand_v it_o of_o eliah_n in_o person_n or_o any_o other_o great_a prophet_n set_v forth_o by_o his_o name_n all_o drive_v at_o this_o end_n to_o prove_v that_o the_o messiah_n be_v not_o yet_o come_v because_o no_o such_o prophet_n have_v yet_o appear_v against_o who_o we_o need_v not_o add_v to_o what_o have_v be_v say_v on_o c._n iii_o v._n 1._o their_o not_o acknowledge_v they_o be_v no_o proof_n that_o they_o be_v not_o both_o long_a since_o come_v the_o christian_n all_o in_o this_o agree_n that_o the_o messiah_n or_o christ_n be_v
