work_n we_o demand_v of_o he_o witness_v of_o his_o word_n what_o these_o jesuitical_a plot_n and_o design_n be_v we_o do_v carry_v on_o which_o slander_n be_v so_o devilish_a can_v he_o prove_v what_o he_o say_v his_o word_n will_v take_v away_o our_o life_n but_o to_o raise_v the_o unclean_a spirit_n against_o we_o though_o the_o nation_n be_v true_o suppose_v the_o purpose_n of_o his_o as_o his_o own_o upon_o we_o and_o so_o his_o word_n give_v ground_n to_o all_o the_o wicked_a that_o do_v believe_v he_o for_o none_o else_o can_v to_o persecute_v the_o people_n &_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n under_o the_o false_a account_n of_o be_v plotter_n of_o have_v ill_a design_n which_o thing_n we_o stand_v witness_n against_o &_o seek_v the_o peace_n of_o all_o man_n though_o he_o have_v bend_v his_o tongue_n for_o lie_n and_o brazen_v his_o face_n to_o utter_v they_o without_o fear_n or_o shame_n to_o suggest_v evil_a into_o man_n mind_n that_o they_o may_v harm_v the_o upright_a but_o it_o be_v know_v by_o his_o word_n what_o lodge_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o such_o a_o person_n who_o thus_o open_o &_o impudent_o do_v slander_v just_a man_n to_o the_o take_v away_o of_o life_n if_o any_o be_v so_o devilish_a to_o witness_v lie_n and_o slander_n as_o he_o be_v forge_v of_o they_o and_o declare_v of_o they_o &_o that_o to_o the_o protector_n and_o his_o council_n too_o but_o from_o these_o thing_n we_o be_v clear_a be_v the_o more_o ready_a to_o bear_v his_o lie_n with_o patience_n &_o do_v not_o pray_v for_o fire_n to_o devour_v he_o though_o he_o be_v our_o enemy_n and_o the_o lord_n but_o rather_o wish_v his_o returnig_a from_o his_o ungodilness_n than_o a_o destruction_n upon_o he_o in_o his_o ungodliness_n &_o whereas_o the_o subject_n of_o his_o matter_n invent_v in_o his_o mind_n &_o bring_v forth_o into_o view_n be_v a_o go_v about_o to_o prove_v that_o in_o 22_o particular_n mention_v by_o he_o we_o do_v contradict_v the_o scripture_n but_o his_o ground_n be_v false_a from_o whence_o his_o whole_a work_n proceed_v for_o not_o in_o any_o particular_a of_o what_o be_v mention_v do_v we_o contradict_v the_o scripture_n though_o his_o whole_a work_n be_v found_v upon_o this_o thing_n of_o our_o cotradiction_n to_o scripture_n and_o while_o we_o be_v prove_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n we_o reckon_v his_o slander_n to_o be_v rather_o a_o testimony_n to_o we_o that_o we_o be_v of_o god_n than_o a_o discourage_a of_o we_o in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o we_o do_v not_o allow_v that_o j._n s._n be_v our_o interpreter_n and_o the_o expositor_n upon_o our_o word_n for_o than_o no_o question_n but_o he_o will_v judge_v out_o of_o his_o prejudicial_a mind_n false_a judgement_n and_o pervert_v the_o innocent_a word_n into_o contradiction_n of_o scripture_n and_o of_o ourselves_o but_o to_o the_o single_a mind_n and_o witness_v of_o god_n in_o every_o man_n we_o appeal_v for_o judgement_n and_o do_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n commend_v ourselves_o to_o every_o man_n conscience_n and_o beg_v not_o belief_n of_o any_o but_o know_v all_o that_o be_v in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n witness_n to_o we_o and_o feel_v our_o doctrine_n to_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o godliness_n reach_v to_o the_o witness_n of_o god_n in_o every_o one_o whereby_o we_o be_v a_o good_a savour_n to_o god_n in_o all_o and_o though_o j._n s._n judge_v our_o doctrine_n to_o be_v scripture-contradiction_n yet_o his_o judgement_n be_v but_o out_o of_o his_o old_a lie_a heart_n which_o can_v bring_v forth_o no_o other_o scripture_n but_o it_o be_v that_o in_o this_o our_o day_n it_o have_v please_v the_o father_n to_o bring_v forth_o in_o life_n and_o power_n that_o mercy_n and_o truth_n which_o the_o enlighten_v every_o one_o that_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o in_o which_o christ_n doctrine_n stand_v who_o say_v to_o the_o people_n and_o to_o the_o pharisee_n again_o and_o again_o i_o be_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n as_o john_n 8.12_o john_n 12.46_o but_o now_o because_o the_o light_n be_v come_v and_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v rise_v upon_o we_o and_o we_o declare_v from_o it_o further_o he_o say_v if_o we_o teach_v one_o another_o why_o do_v we_o condemn_v they_o for_o teach_v but_o to_o this_o i_o have_v answer_v preach_v or_o teach_v by_o the_o spirit_n we_o own_o and_o without_o the_o spirit_n we_o deny_v and_o because_o we_o say_v we_o own_o all_o that_o which_o be_v god_n as_o baptism_n the_o lord_n supper_n and_o sabbath_n etc._n etc._n yet_o do_v sabbath_n this_o he_o charge_v to_o be_v contradiction_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n though_o i.s._n false_o so_o judge_v it_o for_o their_o baptism_n and_o break_n of_o bread_n and_o wine_n and_o their_o church-fellowship_n and_o keep_v of_o a_o day_n i_o say_v their_o exercise_n in_o these_o thing_n we_o do_v deny_v to_o be_v of_o god_n as_o in_o measure_n be_v prove_v and_o may_v be_v further_o if_o need_v require_v and_o i_o say_v we_o own_o that_o which_o be_v god_n and_o which_o be_v lead_v unto_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o practise_v in_o his_o fear_n and_o counsel_n &_o yet_o we_o do_v deny_v all_o their_o imagination_n of_o any_o thing_n which_o god_n command_v do_v own_o the_o command_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o do_v not_o contradict_v ourselves_o contradict_v ourselves_o further_o he_o say_v we_o contradict_v ourselves_o concern_v conscience_n and_o law_n because_o we_o say_v there_o must_v be_v no_o law_n concern_v religion_n viz_o to_o conscience_n that_o law_n will_v not_o bind_v or_o limit_v the_o conscience_n from_o this_o or_o that_o way_n of_o worship_n in_o religion_n for_o that_o law_n be_v unjust_a which_o bind_v or_o limit_n the_o pure_a conscience_n of_o any_o man_n but_o that_o law_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o light_n in_o every_o man_n conscience_n be_v oppression_n and_o we_o bear_v witness_n against_o it_o and_o though_o we_o do_v say_v no_o law_n must_v be_v lay_v upon_o religion_n that_o be_v to_o say_v to_o bind_v any_o man_n conscience_n to_o or_o from_o such_o a_o form_n of_o religion_n and_o to_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o conscience_n now_o by_o these_o word_n we_o do_v not_o mean_v that_o we_o will_v have_v a_o law_n according_a to_o religion_n but_o no_o law_n to_o limit_v to_o or_o from_o this_o or_o that_o manner_n of_o religion_n and_o this_o do_v very_o well_o agree_v with_o our_o say_n let_v all_o your_o law_n be_v according_a to_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n so_o by_o his_o misinterpretation_n of_o the_o first_o he_o make_v it_o appear_v to_o be_v contradiction_n to_o the_o second_o but_o it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o further_o r._n f._n say_v the_o law_n of_o god_n answer_v his_o justice_n and_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o conscience_n answer_v the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o be_v perfect_a according_a to_o that_o in_o the_o conscience_n these_o word_n j._n s._n charge_n with_o two_o error_n but_o let_v the_o reader_n try_v where_o the_o error_n lie_v and_o not_o believe_v j._n saint_n false_a deduction_n from_o r.f._n plain_a word_n which_o be_v simple_o utter_v though_o subtle_o wrest_v and_o j._n s._n speak_v as_o if_o some_o will_v have_v magistrate_n to_o make_v law_n to_o bind_v themselves_o from_o strike_v at_o offender_n blasphemer_n gospel_n and_o church_n disturber_n etc._n etc._n in_o answer_n to_o this_o we_o be_v not_o they_o that_o will_v have_v any_o magistrate_n rather_o a_o terror_n to_o well-doer_n then_o to_o evil_a and_o such_o magistrate_n and_o such_o law_n by_o which_o the_o just_a be_v oppress_v and_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o wicked_a strengthen_v will_n the_o lord_n confound_v in_o a_o day_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o name_n and_o to_o the_o refresh_n of_o all_o his_o people_n who_o be_v now_o every_o way_n oppress_v by_o evil_a man_n priest_n have_v for_o their_o ministry_n but_o if_o any_o man_n begin_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o light_n within_o and_o the_o anoint_v within_o and_o the_o word_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o of_o the_o mystery_n of_o faith_n in_o a_o pure_a conscience_n and_o of_o the_o sprinkle_n of_o the_o heart_n from_o a_o evil_a conscience_n and_o of_o believe_v in_o the_o light_n as_o christ_n say_v such_o a_o one_o speak_v of_o these_o thing_n and_o not_o direct_v his_o speech_n in_o open_a reproach_n against_o they_o call_v quaker_n the_o people_n heart_n will_v be_v fill_v with_o jealousy_n lest_o he_o be_v one_o so_o that_o even_o the_o light_n be_v become_v a_o reproach_n unto_o they_o and_o their_o derision_n daily_o but_o the_o lord_n hand_n be_v
by_o which_o all_o the_o other_o may_v be_v compare_v and_o judge_v again_o divers_a reason_n be_v allege_v as_o a_o cause_n of_o print_v j.g._n his_o defence_n of_o the_o priest_n first_o he_o say_v when_o they_o read_v and_o consider_v thy_o unlearned_a logic_n wherein_o thou_o go_v to_o prove_v that_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o bring_v we_o to_o heaven_n to_o be_v free_v from_o sin_n such_o as_o the_o lord_n say_v do_v run_v &_o he_o send_v they_o not_o and_o say_v the_o lord_n say_v when_o he_o have_v not_o speak_v unto_o they_o jer._n 14.14_o now_o in_o this_o vindication_n thou_o have_v not_o do_v any_o thing_n of_o that_o pretend_a confute_v e.b._n his_o book_n call_v a_o jusl_n and_o lawful_a trial_n of_o the_o minister_n and_o teacher_n of_o this_o age_n but_o have_v
