law_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o it_o not_o that_o by_o every_o law_n man_n shall_v incur_v wrath_n for_o non-repentance_n except_o mr._n goodwin_n can_v prove_v that_o all_o man_n without_o exception_n be_v condemn_v for_o not_o repent_v as_o a_o transgression_n of_o a_o command_n which_o proof_n i_o demand_v therefore_o that_o do_v not_o affright_v i_o for_o it_o be_v easy_o answer_v although_o they_o be_v not_o under_o a_o command_n to_o repent_v yet_o they_o be_v not_o therefore_o leave_v lawless_a and_o may_v commit_v and_o do_v what_o they_o listen_v without_o any_o guilt_n or_o punishment_n this_o be_v fond_o allege_v for_o the_o solution_n be_v easy_a they_o have_v a_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o be_v a_o law_n to_o themselves_o and_o so_o have_v a_o law_n they_o may_v sin_v and_o their_o conscience_n shall_v condemn_v they_o yea_o and_o god_n shall_v condemn_v they_o also_o these_o i_o know_v mr._n goodwin_n can_v not_o but_o consider_v therefore_o how_o he_o can_v think_v of_o man_n be_v lawless_a or_o god_n not_o take_v account_n of_o the_o heathen_a for_o sin_v although_o we_o do_v grant_v and_o prove_v it_o too_o that_o the_o heathen_a be_v under_o no_o obligation_n to_o repent_v for_o that_o law_n may_v conclude_v we_o under_o sin_n that_o can_v command_v we_o repentance_n for_o sin_v the_o one_o be_v a_o privilege_n of_o the_o law_n the_o other_o of_o the_o gospel_n which_o make_v way_n for_o his_o second_o reason_n which_o be_v this_o 2_o because_o to_o all_o even_o in_o the_o time_n before_o the_o gospel_n he_o give_v so_o much_o mean_n that_o they_o may_v seek_v the_o lord_n and_o find_v he_o act_v 17.26_o 27._o therefore_o all_o man_n be_v under_o a_o command_n to_o repent_v but_o this_o be_v far_o from_o bind_v for_o we_o seek_v the_o lord_n 1_o in_o obedience_n 2_o in_o repentance_n for_o not_o obey_v adam_n in_o his_o integrity_n be_v bind_v to_o seek_v god_n but_o not_o to_o repent_v now_o that_o god_n do_v so_o much_o for_o the_o heathen_a that_o they_o may_v seek_v he_o in_o a_o way_n of_o obedience_n and_o so_o far_o as_o to_o serve_v and_o worship_v he_o as_o the_o true_a god_n i_o grant_v but_o that_o god_n intend_v that_o by_o that_o which_o god_n do_v for_o every_o man_n they_o shall_v seek_v he_o in_o a_o way_n of_o repentance_n i_o put_v he_o to_o prove_v thus_o have_v i_o follow_v he_o step_v by_o step_n and_o if_o i_o have_v run_v into_o unpleasing_a and_o extravagant_a notion_n i_o have_v this_o fair_a excuse_n that_o i_o be_v necessary_o lead_v thereinto_o and_o i_o have_v consider_v and_o examine_v every_o parcel_n of_o his_o treatise_n and_o to_o close_v up_o all_o this_o be_v the_o result_n of_o all_o all_o man_n be_v not_o bind_v by_o any_o law_n positive_a or_o of_o nature_n to_o repent_v and_o believe_v neither_o be_v all_o the_o heathen_a in_o a_o capacity_n of_o believe_v much_o less_o in_o a_o mediate_a sufficiency_n but_o much_o less_o in_o a_o immediate_a sufficiency_n of_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o so_o by_o consequence_n the_o whole_a and_o adequate_a subject_n of_o this_o his_o treatise_n render_v dissonant_n both_o to_o scripture_n and_o reason_n and_o before_o i_o close_o up_o this_o my_o work_n and_o make_v my_o due_a and_o legitimate_a claim_n i_o can_v but_o let_v he_o and_o his_o church_n know_v that_o i_o take_v notice_n as_o all_o the_o world_n may_v of_o their_o improvident_a boldness_n in_o that_o book_n entitle_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d or_o the_o agreement_n and_o distance_n of_o brethren_n wherein_o they_o undertake_v to_o excude_n and_o thrust_v into_o the_o world_n their_o indigested_a thought_n upon_o the_o five_o controvert_v article_n in_o the_o three_o article_n they_o pretend_v they_o can_v agree_v with_o their_o brethren_n in_o the_o confinement_n of_o
