be_v shake_v and_o drive_v with_o the_o violence_n thereof_o this_o you_o must_v expect_v unless_o you_o repent_v 6._o but_o this_o thou_o have_v that_o thou_o hate_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o nicolaitan_n which_o i_o also_o hate_n this_o be_v yet_o the_o privilege_n of_o this_o ephesine_n interval_n of_o the_o church_n that_o she_o be_v not_o then_o taint_v with_o the_o lust_n of_o that_o filthy_a sect_n of_o the_o nicolaitan_n which_o the_o soul_n of_o christ_n so_o abhor_v 7._o he_o that_o have_v a_o ear_n let_v he_o hear_v what_o the_o spirit_n say_v unto_o the_o church_n in_o these_o prophetical_a parable_n for_o it_o be_v of_o great_a concern_v and_o edification_n for_o they_o to_o consider_v and_o understand_v they_o through_o all_o the_o succession_n of_o the_o church_n that_o what_o be_v recommend_v they_o may_v follow_v and_o eschew_v the_o contrary_a at_o all_o time_n to_o he_o that_o overcome_v will_v i_o give_v to_o eat_v of_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n which_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o paradise_n of_o god_n that_o be_v he_o that_o overcome_v through_o his_o much_o labour_n and_o pain_n he_o shall_v be_v refresh_v with_o the_o food_n of_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n and_o for_o his_o patience_n and_o suffering_n enjoy_v a_o paradise_n of_o pleasure_n in_o heaven_n 8._o and_o unto_o the_o angel_n of_o the_o church_n of_o smyrna_n write_v to_o the_o bishop_n and_o pastor_n etc._n etc._n of_o the_o smyrnean_a succession_n of_o the_o church_n which_o reach_v from_o the_o end_n of_o the_o ephesine_n succession_n to_o about_o the_o three_o hundred_o twenty_o four_o year_n of_o christ_n *_o and_o bear_v the_o signification_n of_o its_o condition_n in_o its_o name_n write_v to_o they_o thus_o these_o thing_n say_v the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o which_o be_v dead_a and_o be_v alive_a who_o salute_v you_o therefore_o with_o this_o part_n of_o his_o former_a representation_n as_o his_o most_o proper_a title_n here_o for_o a_o encouragement_n in_o the_o bloody_a persecute_v time_n you_o be_v in_o for_o if_o you_o die_v martyr_n you_o shall_v as_o assure_o be_v alive_a again_o as_o i_o be_o that_o be_v once_o martyr_a and_o crucify_a and_o i_o be_o the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o and_o will_v make_v my_o church_n hold_v out_o to_o the_o end_n and_o stand_v conqueror_n in_o the_o field_n 9_o i_o know_v thy_o work_n and_o tribulation_n and_o poverty_n but_o thou_o be_v rich_a i_o know_v how_o you_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o the_o comfort_n of_o life_n and_o conflict_n with_o the_o great_a necessity_n but_o yet_o you_o be_v real_o rich_a full_a of_o christian_a patience_n and_o meekness_n and_o of_o invincible_a courage_n amid_o all_o the_o danger_n of_o death_n and_o i_o know_v the_o blasphemy_n of_o they_o that_o say_v they_o be_v jew_n and_o be_v not_o but_o be_v the_o synagogue_n of_o satan_n that_o say_v they_o be_v christian_n and_o be_v not_o for_o so_o jew_n signify_v in_o the_o apocalyptick_a stile_n and_o so_o by_o their_o dastardliness_n and_o perfidiousness_n blaspheme_v and_o
