of_o they_o of_o all_o such_o book_n as_o shall_v be_v license_v by_o they_o respective_o and_o if_o such_o book_n so_o to_o be_v license_v shall_v be_v a_o english_a book_n or_o of_o the_o english_a tongue_n there_o shall_v be_v two_o write_a copy_n thereof_o deliver_v to_o the_o licenser_n or_o licenser_n if_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v so_o require_v one_o copy_n whereof_o so_o license_v shall_v be_v deliver_v back_o to_o the_o say_a printer_n or_o owner_n and_o the_o other_o copy_n shall_v be_v reserve_v and_o keep_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a to_o the_o end_n such_o licenser_n or_o licenser_n shall_v be_v bind_v to_o say_v and_o use_v the_o morning_n prayer_n evening_n prayer_n celebration_n and_o administration_n of_o both_o the_o sacrament_n and_o all_o other_o the_o public_a and_o common_a prayer_n in_o such_o order_n and_o form_n as_o be_v mention_v in_o the_o say_a book_n annex_v and_o join_v to_o this_o present_a act_n and_o entitle_v the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o other_o rite_n and_o ceremony_n of_o the_o church_n according_a to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n together_o with_o the_o psalter_n or_o psalm_n of_o david_n point_v as_o they_o be_v to_o be_v sing_v or_o say_v in_o church_n and_o the_o form_n or_o manner_n of_o make_v ordain_v and_o consecrate_v of_o bishop_n priest_n and_o deacon_n and_o that_o the_o morning_n and_o evening_n prayer_n therein_o contain_v shall_v upon_o every_o lord_n day_n and_o upon_o all_o other_o day_n and_o occasion_n and_o at_o the_o time_n therein_o appoint_v be_v open_o and_o solemn_o read_v by_o all_o and_o every_o minister_n or_o curate_n in_o every_o church_n chappel_n or_o other_o place_n of_o public_a worship_n within_o this_o realm_n of_o england_n same_o all_o parson_n vicar_n and_o minister_n to_o read_v and_o declare_v their_o assent_n to_o use_v the_o same_o and_o place_n aforesaid_a and_o to_o the_o end_n that_o uniformity_n in_o the_o public_a worship_n of_o god_n which_o be_v so_o much_o desire_v may_v be_v speedy_o effect_v be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o every_o parson_n vicar_n or_o other_o minister_n whatsoever_o who_o now_o have_v and_o enjoy_v any_o ecclesiastical_a benefit_n or_o promotion_n within_o this_o realm_n of_o england_n or_o place_n aforesaid_a shall_v in_o the_o church_n chappel_n or_o place_n of_o public_a
goal_n of_o the_o same_o county_n city_n or_o town_n corporate_a according_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a present_a common_a prayer_n to_o be_v read_v before_o every_o lecture_n and_o the_o lecturer_n to_o be_v present_a that_o at_o all_o and_o every_o time_n and_o time_n when_o any_o sermon_n or_o lecture_n be_v to_o be_v preach_v the_o common_a prayer_n and_o service_n in_o and_o by_o the_o say_a book_n appoint_v to_o be_v read_v for_o that_o time_n of_o the_o day_n shall_v be_v open_o public_o and_o solemn_o read_v by_o some_o priest_n or_o deacon_n in_o the_o church_n chappel_n or_o place_n of_o public_a worship_n where_o the_o say_a sermon_n or_o lecture_n be_v to_o be_v preach_v before_o such_o sermon_n or_o lecture_n be_v preach_v and_o that_o the_o lecturer_n then_o to_o preach_v shall_v be_v present_a at_o the_o read_n thereof_o provide_v nevertheless_o that_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o extend_v to_o the_o university_n church_n university_n proviso_n for_o sermon_n and_o lecture_n in_o the_o university_n in_o the_o university_n of_o this_o realm_n or_o either_o of_o they_o when_o or_o at_o such_o time_n as_o any_o sermon_n or_o lecture_n be_v preach_v or_o read_v in_o the_o say_a church_n or_o any_o of_o they_o for_z or_o as_o the_o public_a university_n sermon_n or_o lecture_n but_o that_o the_o same_o sermon_n and_o lecture_n may_v be_v preach_v or_o read_v in_o such_o sort_n and_o manner_n as_o the_o same_o have_v be_v heretofore_o preach_v or_o read_v this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n herein_o contain_v to_o the_o contrary_a thereof_o in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o several_a good_a law_n law_n the_o law_n and_o statute_n former_o make_v for_o uniformity_n of_o common_a prayer_n confirm_v and_o to_o be_v execute_v for_o punish_v offender_n against_o this_o law_n and_o statute_n of_o this_o realm_n which_o have_v be_v former_o make_v and_o be_v now_o in_o force_n for_o the_o uniformity_n of_o prayer_n and_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n within_o this_o realm_n of_o england_n and_o place_n aforesaid_a shall_v stand_v in_o full_a force_n and_o strength_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n whatsoever_o for_o the_o establish_n and_o confirm_v of_o the_o say_a book_n entitle_v the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o other_o rite_n and_o ceremony_n of_o the_o church_n according_a to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n together_o with_o the_o psalter_n or_o psalm_n of_o david_n point_v as_o they_o be_v to_o be_v sing_v or_o say_v in_o church_n and_o the_o form_n or_o manner_n of_o make_v ordain_v and_o consecrate_v of_o bishop_n priest_n and_o deacon_n herein_o before_o mention_v to_o be_v join_v and_o annex_v to_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v be_v apply_v practise_v and_o put_v in_o ure_n for_o the_o punish_n of_o all_o offence_n contrary_a to_o the_o say_a law_n with_o relation_n to_o the_o book_n aforesaid_a and_o no_o other_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a etc._n litany_n and_o collect_v relate_v to_o the_o king_n queen_n etc._n etc._n that_o in_o all_o those_o prayer_n litany_n and_o collect_v which_o do_v any_o way_n relate_v to_o the_o king_n queen_n or_o royal_a progeny_n the_o name_n be_v alter_v and_o change_v from_o time_n to_o time_n and_o fit_v to_o the_o present_a occasion_n according_a to_o the_o direction_n of_o lawful_a authority_n church_n true_a print_a copy_n of_o the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n to_o be_v provide_v in_o all_o parish_n and_o church_n provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o a_o true_a print_a copy_n of_o the_o say_a book_n entitle_v the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o other_o rite_n and_o ceremony_n of_o the_o church_n according_a to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n together_o with_o the_o psalter_n or_o psalm_n of_o david_n point_v as_o they_o be_v to_o be_v sing_v or_o say_v in_o church_n and_o the_o form_n and_o manner_n of_o make_v ordain_v and_o consecrate_v of_o bishop_n priest_n and_o deacon_n shall_v at_o the_o cost_n and_o charge_n of_o the_o parishioner_n of_o every_o parish-church_n and_o chappelry_n cathedral_n church_n college_n and_o hall_n be_v attain_v and_o get_v before_o the_o feast-day_n of_o st._n bartholomew_n in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o two_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n of_o three_o pound_n by_o the_o month_n for_o so_o long_a time_n as_o they_o shall_v then_o after_o be_v unprovided_a thereof_o by_o every_o parish_n or_o chappelry_n cathedral_n church_n college_n and_o hall_n make_v default_n therein_o landaff_n proviso_n for_o the_o bishop_n of_o hereford_n st._n davies_n asaph_n bangor_n landaff_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o bishop_n of_o hereford_n st._n davies_n asaph_n bangoâ—_n and_o landaff_n and_o their_o successor_n shall_v take_v such_o order_n among_o themselves_o for_o the_o soul_n health_n of_o the_o flock_n commit_v to_o their_o charge_n within_o wales_n that_o the_o book_n hereunto_o annex_v be_v true_o and_o exact_o translate_v into_o the_o british_a or_o welsh_a tongue_n and_o that_o the_o same_o so_o translate_v and_o be_v by_o they_o or_o any_o three_o of_o they_o at_o the_o least_o view_v peruse_v and_o allow_v be_v imprint_v to_o such_o number_n at_o least_o so_o that_o one_o of_o the_o say_a book_n so_o translate_v and_o imprint_v may_v be_v have_v for_o every_o cathedral_n collegiate_n and_o parish_n church_n and_o chapel_n of_o ease_n in_o the_o say_v respective_a diocese_n and_o place_n in_o wales_n where_o the_o welsh_a be_v common_o speak_v or_o use_v before_o the_o first_o day_n of_o may_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o five_o and_o that_o from_o and_o after_o the_o imprint_n and_o publish_v of_o the_o say_a book_n so_o translate_v the_o whole_a divine_a service_n shall_v be_v use_v and_o say_v by_o the_o minister_n and_o curate_n throughout_o all_o wales_n within_o the_o say_a diocese_n where_o the_o welsh_a tongue_n be_v common_o use_v in_o the_o british_a or_o welsh_a tongue_n in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o be_v prescribe_v according_a to_o the_o book_n hereunto_o annex_v to_o be_v use_v in_o the_o english_a tongue_n differ_v nothing_o in_o any_o order_n or_o form_n from_o the_o say_a english_a book_n for_o which_o book_n so_o translate_v and_o imprint_v the_o churchwarden_n of_o every_o the_o say_a parish_n shall_v pay_v out_o of_o the_o parish-money_n in_o their_o hand_n for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o respective_a church_n and_o be_v allow_v the_o same_o on_o their_o account_n and_o that_o the_o say_v bishop_n and_o their_o successor_n or_o any_o three_o of_o they_o at_o the_o least_o shall_v set_v and_o appoint_v the_o price_n for_o which_o the_o say_a book_n shall_v be_v sell_v and_o one_o other_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n in_o the_o english_a tongue_n shall_v be_v buy_v and_o have_v in_o every_o church_n throughout_o wales_n in_o which_o the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n in_o welsh_a be_v to_o be_v have_v by_o force_n of_o this_o act_n before_o the_o first_o day_n of_o may_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o four_o and_o the_o same_o book_n to_o remain_v in_o such_o convenient_a place_n within_o the_o say_a church_n that_o such_o as_o understand_v they_o may_v resort_v at_o all_o convenient_a time_n to_o read_v and_o peruse_v the_o same_o and_o also_o such_o as_o do_v not_o understand_v the_o say_a language_n may_v be_v confer_v both_o tongue_n together_o the_o soon_o attain_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o english_a tongue_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o until_o print_a copy_n of_o the_o say_a book_n so_o to_o be_v translate_v may_v be_v have_v and_o provide_v the_o form_n of_o common_a prayer_n establish_v by_o parliament_n before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v use_v as_o former_o in_o such_o part_n of_o wales_n where_o the_o english_a tongue_n be_v not_o common_o understand_v and_o to_o the_o end_n that_o the_o true_a and_o perfect_a copy_n of_o this_o act_n and_o the_o say_a book_n hereunto_o annex_v may_v be_v safe_o keep_v and_o perpetual_o preserve_v and_o for_o the_o avoid_n of_o all_o dispute_v for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v keep_v true_a and_o perfect_a copy_n of_o this_o act_n and_o the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n by_o who_o and_o how_o to_o be_v have_v and_o keep_v be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o respective_a dean_n and_o chapter_n of_o every_o cathedral_n or_o
beyond_o the_o sea_n any_o letter_n found_v or_o cast_v nor_o shall_v buy_v any_o such_o letter_n for_o printing_n printing-presses_a or_o other_o material_n belong_v unto_o print_v unless_o he_o or_o they_o respective_o shall_v first_o acquaint_v the_o say_a master_n and_o warden_n of_o the_o say_a company_n of_o stationer_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o some_o or_o one_o of_o they_o for_o who_o the_o same_o press_n ironwork_n or_o letter_n be_v to_o be_v make_v forge_a cast_v bring_v or_o import_v upon_o pain_n that_o every_o person_n who_o shall_v erect_v any_o such_o printing-press_n or_o shall_v demise_n or_o let_v any_o house_n or_o room_n or_o suffer_v the_o same_o to_o be_v hold_v or_o use_v and_o every_o person_n who_o shall_v make_v any_o printing-press_n or_o any_o ironwork_n for_o a_o printing-press_n or_o shall_v make_v import_n or_o buy_v any_o letter_n for_o printing_n without_o give_v notice_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n the_o sum_n of_o five_o pound_n the_o one_o moiety_n whereof_o shall_v be_v to_o the_o use_n of_o our_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o king_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o the_o use_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o shall_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o printer_n who_o and_o how_o many_o shall_v be_v master_n printer_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v no_o man_n shall_v be_v admit_v to_o be_v a_o master-printer_n until_o they_o who_o be_v now_o actual_o master-printer_n shall_v be_v by_o death_n or_o otherwise_o reduce_v to_o the_o number_n of_o twenty_o and_o from_o thenceforth_o the_o number_n of_o twenty_o master-printer_n shall_v be_v continue_v and_o no_o more_o beside_o the_o king_n printer_n and_o the_o printer_n allow_v for_o the_o university_n to_o have_v the_o use_n and_o exercise_v of_o print_v of_o book_n at_o one_o time_n and_o but_o four_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v the_o which_o say_v master-printer_n and_o four_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o printing_n shall_v be_v nominate_v appoint_v and_o allow_v by_o the_o lord_n archbishop_n of_o canterbury_n and_z lord_z bishop_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o in_o case_n of_o death_n of_o any_o one_o of_o the_o say_v four_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n or_o of_o the_o say_a master_n printer_n or_o of_o forfeiture_n or_o avoidance_n of_o any_o of_o their_o place_n and_o privilege_n to_o print_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n print_v master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v for_o any_o offence_n contrary_a to_o the_o same_o or_o otherwise_o that_o then_o the_o lord_n archbishop_n of_o canterbury_n and_z lord_z bishop_n london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o one_o of_o they_o shall_v nominate_v and_o appoint_v such_o other_o fit_a person_n or_o person_n to_o succeed_v and_o supply_v the_o place_n of_o such_o master_n printer_n or_o founder_n of_o letter_n as_o shall_v be_v void_a by_o death_n forfeiture_n or_o otherwise_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o every_o person_n and_o person_n which_o shall_v hereafter_o be_v allow_v or_o permit_v to_o have_v the_o use_n of_o a_o printing-press_n or_o printing-house_n upon_o or_o before_o such_o his_o allowance_n obtain_v shall_v become_v bind_v with_o surety_n to_o his_o majesty_n in_o the_o court_n of_o kings-bench_n or_o before_o some_o one_o or_o more_o of_o the_o justice_n of_o assize_n or_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n at_o their_o several_a quarter-session_n in_o the_o sum_n of_o three_o hundred_o pound_n not_o to_o print_v or_o suffer_v to_o be_v print_v in_o his_o house_n or_o press_v any_o book_n or_o book_n whatsoever_o but_o such_o as_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v lawful_o license_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a printing-presses_a who_o only_o may_v keep_v above_o two_o printing-presses_a that_o none_o of_o the_o say_a master_n printer_n so_o to_o be_v allow_v from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v keep_v above_o two_o printing-presses_a at_o once_o unless_o he_o have_v be_v master_n or_o vpper-warden_n of_o the_o company_n who_o be_v hereby_o allow_v to_o keep_v three_o press_n and_o no_o more_o unless_o for_o some_o great_a and_o special_a occasion_n for_o the_o public_a he_o or_o they_o have_v for_o a_o time_n leave_v of_o the_o say_a lord_n archbishop_n of_o canterbury_n or_o lord_n bishop_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o to_o have_v or_o use_v one_o or_o more_o above_o the_o aforesaid_a number_n as_o their_o lordship_n or_o either_o of_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a and_o be_v it_o also_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a retain_v what_o number_n of_o apprentice_n they_o may_v retain_v that_o no_o printer_n or_o printer_n except_o the_o king_n printer_n nor_o founder_n or_o founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v shall_v take_v or_o retain_v any_o more_o or_o great_a number_n of_o apprentice_n then_o be_v herein_o after_o limit_v and_o appoint_v that_o be_v to_o say_v every_o master_n printer_n and_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o printing_n that_o be_v or_o have_v be_v master_n or_o upper_a warden_n of_o his_o company_n may_v have_v three_o apprentice_n at_o one_o time_n and_o no_o more_o and_o every_o master_n printer_n and_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o printing_n that_o be_v of_o the_o livery_n of_o his_o company_n may_v have_v two_o apprentice_n at_o one_o time_n and_o no_o more_o and_o every_o master_n printer_n and_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v of_o the_o yeomanry_n of_o his_o company_n may_v have_v one_o apprentice_n at_o one_o time_n and_o no_o more_o neither_o by_o copartnership_n bind_v at_o the_o scrivener_n nor_o any_o other_o way_n whatsoever_o neither_o shall_v it_o be_v lawful_a for_o any_o master_n printer_n or_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n when_o any_o apprentice_n or_o apprentice_n shall_v run_v or_o be_v put_v away_o to_o take_v another_o apprentice_n or_o other_o apprentice_n in_o he_o or_o their_o place_n or_o place_n unless_o the_o name_n or_o name_n of_o he_o or_o they_o so_o go_v away_o be_v raze_v out_o of_o the_o hall-book_n and_o never_o admit_v again_o and_o because_o a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o secret_a print_n in_o corner_n have_v be_v cause_v for_o want_n of_o orderly_a employment_n for_o journeymen-printer_n the_o say_v several_a master_n printer_n employ_v journeyman_n printer_n and_o founder_n of_o letter_n to_o be_v employ_v and_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v so_o to_o be_v allow_v as_o aforesaid_a be_v hereby_o require_v to_o take_v special_a care_n that_o all_o journey-men-printer_n and_o journey-men-founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v who_o be_v lawful_o free_a of_o the_o say_v respective_a mystery_n be_v set_v to_o work_n and_o employ_v in_o their_o respective_a trade_n and_o if_o any_o such_o journey-man-printer_n or_o journey-man-founder_n of_o letter_n be_v of_o honest_a and_o good_a behaviour_n and_o able_a in_o his_o trade_n do_v want_n employment_n he_o shall_v repair_v to_o any_o of_o the_o say_a master_n printer_n or_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n respective_o for_o the_o time_n be_v who_o thereupon_o shall_v receive_v he_o or_o they_o into_o work_n if_o such_o master_n printer_n or_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n have_v not_o a_o journeyman_n already_o although_o such_o master_n printer_n or_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n respective_o with_o his_o apprentice_n or_o apprentice_n be_v able_a without_o the_o help_n of_o the_o say_a journeyman_n to_o discharge_v his_o own_o work_n upon_o pain_n that_o every_o master_n printer_n and_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n respective_o refuse_v to_o receive_v such_o journeyman_n repair_v to_o he_o as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v five_o pound_n to_o be_v recover_v by_o bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n wherein_o no_o essoign_n wager_n at_o law_n privilege_n or_o protection_n shall_v be_v admit_v the_o moiety_n of_o which_o forfeiture_n shall_v go_v to_o the_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o the_o informer_n who_o shall_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o within_o six_o month_n next_o after_o the_o say_a offence_n commit_v and_o if_o any_o journeyman_n or_o journeyman_n printer_n or_o founder_n of_o letter_n for_o print_v shall_v refuse_v employment_n be_v offer_v to_o he_o or_o they_o by_o any_o master_n printer_n or_o master_n founder_n of_o letter_n respective_o or_o neglect_v it_o when_o he_o or_o they_o have_v undertake_v it_o he_o or_o they_o so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v shall_v suffer_v three_o month_n imprisonment_n at_o the_o least_o without_o bail_n or_o mainprize_n upon_o conviction_n of_o such_o his_o say_a refusal_n or_o neglect_n by_o two_o witness_n before_o any_o one_o or_o more_o justice_n or_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n who_o

press_n or_o otherwise_o about_o his_o print_n any_o other_o person_n or_o person_n then_o such_o only_a as_o be_v englishman_n and_o fréeman_n or_o the_o son_n of_o fréeman_n or_o apprentice_n to_o book_n and_o paper_n by_o warrant_n under_o his_o majesty_n sign_n manual_n or_o under_o the_o hand_n of_o one_o or_o more_o of_o his_o majesty_n principal_a secretary_n of_o state_n or_o the_o master_n and_o warden_n of_o the_o say_a company_n of_o stationer_n or_o any_o one_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v power_n and_o authority_n with_o a_o constable_n to_o take_v unto_o they_o such_o shop_n and_o to_o view_v there_o what_o be_v imprint_v bind_v or_o stitch_v and_o to_o examine_v whether_o the_o same_o be_v license_v and_o to_o demand_v a_o sight_n of_o the_o say_a licence_n and_o if_o the_o say_a book_n so_o imprint_v bind_v or_o stitch_v shall_v not_o be_v license_v then_o to_o seize_v upon_o so_o much_o thereof_o as_o shall_v be_v find_v imprint_v together_o with_o the_o several_a offender_n and_o to_o bring_v they_o before_o one_o or_o more_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n who_o be_v hereby_o authorize_v and_o require_v to_o commit_v such_o offender_n to_o prison_n there_o to_o remain_v until_o they_o shall_v be_v try_v and_o acquit_v or_o convict_v and_o punish_v for_o the_o say_v offence_n and_o in_o case_n the_o say_a searcher_n shall_v upon_o their_o say_a to_o bring_v the_o same_o unto_o the_o say_a lord_n archbishop_n of_o canterbury_n and_z lord_z bishop_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o one_o of_o they_o or_o to_o the_o secretary_n of_o state_n or_o one_o of_o they_o respective_o who_o shall_v take_v such_o further_a course_n for_o the_o suppress_n thereof_o as_o to_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v seem_v fit_a and_o be_v it_o ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o every_o printer_n and_o printer_n of_o book_n founder_n and_o founder_n of_o letter_n for_o printing_n and_o all_o and_o every_o other_o person_n and_o person_n work_v in_o or_o for_o the_o say_a trade_n punish_v offender_n against_o this_o act_n how_o to_o be_v punish_v who_o from_o and_o after_o the_o ten_o day_n of_o june_n in_o in_o the_o year_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o two_o shall_v offend_v against_o this_o present_a act_n or_o any_o article_n clause_n or_o thing_n herein_o contain_v and_o shall_v be_v thereof_o convict_v by_o verdict_n confession_n or_o otherwise_o shall_v for_o the_o first_o offence_n be_v dis-enabled_n from_o exercise_v his_o respective_a trade_n for_o the_o space_n shall_v before_o any_o public_a vend_v of_o the_o say_a book_n bring_v they_o to_o the_o master_n of_o the_o company_n of_o stationer_n and_o deliver_v they_o to_o he_o one_o whereof_z shall_v be_v deliver_v to_o the_o keeper_n of_o his_o majesty_n library_n and_o the_o other_o two_o to_o be_v send_v to_o the_o vicechancellor_n of_o the_o two_o university_n respective_o for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o public_a library_n of_o the_o say_a university_n university_n proviso_n for_o the_o privilege_n of_o the_o two_o university_n provide_v always_o that_o nothing_o in_o this_o act_n contain_v shall_v be_v construe_v to_o extend_v to_o the_o prejudice_n or_o infringe_n of_o any_o the_o just_a right_n and_o privilege_n of_o either_o of_o the_o two_o university_n of_o this_o realm_n touch_v and_o concern_v the_o licens_v or_o print_v of_o book_n in_o either_o of_o the_o say_a university_n house_n peer_n house_n provide_v always_o that_o no_o search_n shall_v be_v at_o any_o time_n make_v in_o the_o house_n or_o house_n of_o any_o the_o péer_v of_o this_o realm_n or_o of_o any_o other_o person_n or_o person_n not_o be_v free_a of_o or_o use_v any_o of_o the_o trade_n in_o this_o act_n before_o mention_v but_o by_o special_a warrant_n from_o the_o king_n majesty_n under_o his_o sign_n manual_n or_o under_o the_o hand_n of_o one_o or_o both_o of_o his_o majesty_n principal_a register_n that_o all_o conveyance_n by_o indenture_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o enter_v with_o the_o say_a register_n in_o a_o book_n to_o be_v keep_v for_o that_o purpose_n shall_v be_v of_o equal_a force_n to_o convey_v the_o fréehold_n and_o inheritance_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o as_o administrator_n and_o assign_v to_o the_o benefit_n thereof_o and_o payment_n thereon_o and_o such_o assignée_n may_v in_o like_a manner_n assign_v again_o and_o so_o toties_fw-la quoties_fw-la and_o alive_a herein_o after_o specify_v not_o only_o unnecessary_a but_o very_o destructive_a to_o the_o welfare_n of_o this_o kingdom_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a
