prostrate_v ourselves_o before_o he_o accuse_v ourselves_o and_o bewail_v our_o sin_n with_o break_a heart_n for_o mercy_n as_o well_o as_o look_v for_o other_o deliverance_n and_o he_o will_v return_v to_o we_o most_o gracious_o power_n oil_n and_o wine_n into_o our_o wound_n most_o savoury_o and_o ease_v our_o grief_n ready_o and_o all_o our_o fear_n shall_v be_v drive_v away_o for_o if_o we_o do_v well_o who_o as_o saint_n peter_n say_v shall_v fear_v we_o ezekiah_n 13._o be_v a_o notable_a example_n of_o this_o who_o be_v in_o his_o sickness_n trouble_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o untimely_a death_n whereby_o he_o fear_v just_o that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n may_v the_o soon_o be_v infect_v with_o idolatry_n be_v not_o yet_o well_o settle_v in_o the_o true_a worship_n of_o church_n but_o go_v to_o the_o lord_n by_o prayer_n in_o this_o perplexity_n for_o recovery_n the_o lord_n stay_v his_o mind_n and_o send_v his_o prophet_n to_o encourage_v he_o both_o by_o promise_n and_o miracle_n and_o bear_v he_o word_n he_o shall_v recover_v and_o then_o he_o go_v up_o to_o the_o house_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o make_v a_o solemn_a thanksgiving_n for_o his_o recovery_n but_o see_v many_o even_o of_o god_n dear_a one_o do_v either_o not_o know_v how_o to_o repair_v to_o god_n in_o this_o manner_n or_o if_o they_o do_v yet_o they_o can_v humble_v their_o heart_n therefore_o they_o trouble_v themselves_o with_o suffer_v the_o sting_n of_o a_o ill_a conscience_n to_o prick_v they_o which_o in_o continuance_n of_o time_n be_v forget_v and_o be_v not_o kind_o heal_v they_o outward_a affliction_n which_o search_v deep_a or_o by_o some_o agony_n of_o mind_n whereby_o they_o be_v bring_v by_o the_o help_n note_n of_o some_o wise_a and_o experience_a minister_n to_o true_a repentance_n they_o come_v to_o no_o better_a estate_n now_o follow_v gedeons_n thanksgiving_n which_o clear_o prove_v that_o he_o sense_n receive_v comfort_n and_o be_v well_o stay_v by_o the_o that_o remembrance_n of_o his_o thankful_a hart_n there_o unto_o posterity_n all_o may_v see_v that_o it_o be_v a_o solemn_a thank_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o same_o end_n that_o tend_v which_o be_v say_v that_o he_o build_v the_o altar_n it_o be_v in_o token_n of_o his_o thanks_o after_o god_n have_v quiet_v his_o mind_n both_o about_o the_o deliverance_n of_o the_o israelite_n from_o the_o rage_n of_o the_o midianite_n and_o also_o from_o his_o fear_n by_o see_v the_o angel_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o out_o of_o this_o action_n of_o gedeons_n we_o learn_v to_o take_v all_o good_a occasion_n doct._n of_o thanks_o to_o god_n not_o only_o ordinary_o for_o daily_a benefit_n and_o private_o by_o ourselves_o as_o well_o as_o open_o but_o also_o as_o god_n shall_v give_v we_o occasion_n by_o such_o mercy_n bestow_v upon_o we_o which_o be_v more_o than_o ordinary_a as_o here_o he_o do_v to_o gedeon_n and_o before_o this_o to_o moses_n joshua_n deborah_n and_o other_o and_o constancy_n therein_o they_o grow_v at_o last_o to_o perseverance_n and_o to_o a_o good_a end_n of_o their_o conflict_a day_n and_o that_o they_o must_v depart_v from_o many_o ill_a action_n and_o bad_a company_n which_o other_o make_v themselves_o merry_a with_o all_o but_o if_o such_o shall_v begin_v to_o think_v that_o their_o reward_n here_o and_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v will_v not_o be_v answerable_a to_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o pleasure_n that_o they_o forgo_v which_o reward_n yet_o be_v a_o hundred_o fold_n more_o even_o 29._o in_o this_o life_n beside_o happiness_n
