now_o wander_v in_o the_o dark_a and_o blind_a path_n of_o deceit_n and_o delusion_n towards_o death_n and_o destruction_n whereupon_o the_o remain_a part_n and_o through_o grace_n the_o major_a part_n by_o far_o of_o the_o church_n do_v after_o seek_v the_o lord_n and_o serious_o advise_v together_o send_v brethren_n first_o to_o inquire_v after_o he_o and_o they_o and_o to_o know_v the_o ground_n of_o their_o absent_v but_o some_o will_v return_v no_o answer_n at_o all_o other_o very_o contemptuous_o slight_v and_o scorn_v the_o church_n in_o this_o their_o act_n with_o many_o revile_n as_o the_o manner_n of_o those_o people_n be_v after_o some_o month_n time_n the_o church_n send_v three_o brethren_n to_o admonish_v they_o of_o their_o great_a evil_n and_o danger_n etc._n etc._n a_o copy_n of_o which_o admonition_n be_v in_o the_o follow_a paper_n as_o likewise_o a_o particular_a admonition_n to_o dennis_n hollister_n set_v before_o he_o five_o sore_a and_o palpable_a evil_n which_o we_o know_v he_o be_v guilty_a of_o and_o that_o every_o tittle_n of_o it_o be_v both_o true_a and_o obvious_a though_o he_o do_v with_o a_o most_o impudent_a and_o shameless_a face_n deny_v it_o rail_v at_o the_o church_n for_o their_o so_o do_v and_o instead_o of_o hear_v the_o admonition_n or_o acknowledge_v his_o evil_n do_v prepare_v a_o letter_n with_o this_o inscription_n for_o the_o people_n call_v independent_o and_o by_o his_o subtlety_n engage_v two_o of_o our_o brethren_n to_o present_v it_o to_o the_o church_n put_v such_o condition_n upon_o they_o as_o may_v best_o accomplish_v his_o design_n as_o that_o it_o must_v be_v open_o read_v in_o a_o full_a meeting_n etc._n etc._n he_o likewise_o speak_v to_o some_o of_o the_o church_n who_o he_o have_v still_o a_o influence_n upon_o and_o hope_n to_o draw_v off_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o be_v there_o at_o the_o read_n of_o that_o letter_n by_o which_o some_o of_o we_o come_v to_o understand_v his_o design_n and_o that_o his_o letter_n be_v not_o to_o give_v any_o account_n to_o the_o church_n of_o the_o thing_n whereof_o he_o be_v admonish_v but_o rather_o to_o stagger_v and_o draw_v away_o more_o of_o the_o congregation_n to_o himself_o and_o to_o those_o people_n and_o way_n unto_o who_o he_o be_v already_o depart_v which_o thing_n be_v since_o evident_a by_o many_o passage_n in_o his_o paper_n as_o that_o in_o his_o epistle_n to_o the_o reader_n where_o he_o have_v these_o word_n viz._n my_o just_a and_o necessary_a defence_n be_v keep_v from_o the_o simple_a heart_a among_o they_o after_o who_o my_o soul_n belong_v and_o for_o who_o sake_n it_o be_v principal_o intend_v etc._n etc._n by_o which_o all_o man_n may_v see_v that_o his_o principal_a intent_n be_v not_o to_o answer_v or_o satisfy_v the_o church_n but_o rather_o to_o draw_v away_o some_o from_o it_o he_o also_o give_v out_o there_o be_v yet_o such_o a_o certain_a number_n of_o person_n name_v of_o they_o that_o shall_v yet_o come_v away_o which_o the_o lord_n through_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o grace_n have_v hitherunto_o prevent_v and_o those_o person_n in_o particular_a be_v more_o confirm_v and_o establish_v in_o the_o truth_n and_o against_o the_o principle_n and_o way_n of_o those_o people_n and_o much_o by_o his_o late_a book_n it_o be_v so_o fill_v with_o rage_n and_o fury_n envy_n and_o bitterness_n false_a accusation_n and_o rash_a condemnation_n have_v nothing_o in_o it_o like_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n but_o the_o church_n take_v into_o consideration_n his_o letter_n and_o first_o find_v that_o he_o himself_o be_v cut_v of_o god_n way_n second_o that_o he_o have_v refuse_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n by_o their_o messenger_n send_v unto_o he_o three_o that_o he_o do_v not_o own_v we_o as_o a_o church_n in_o the_o superscription_n of_o his_o letter_n and_o fourthly_a understand_v his_o design_n to_o be_v as_o aforesaid_a to_o draw_v away_o more_o if_o he_o can_v etc._n etc._n hereupon_o his_o letter_n be_v not_o open_v but_o return_v back_o and_o deliver_v to_o his_o manservant_n in_o his_o shop_n himself_o be_v then_o absent_a but_o this_o do_v so_o enrage_v he_o he_o see_v himself_o so_o far_o disappoint_v of_o his_o end_n and_o aim_n and_o the_o church_n in_o some_o short_a time_n after_o send_v three_o brethren_n again_o the_o second_o time_n to_o admonish_v he_o and_o the_o rest_n according_a to_o scripture_n rule_n mat._n 18._o tit._n 3._o 10._o that_o he_o have_v hereupon_o publish_v that_o most_o scandalous_a pamphlet_n call_v the_o skirt_n of_o the_o whore_n discover_v and_o the_o mingle_a people_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o she_o etc._n etc._n in_o which_o he_o do_v most_o unchristianlike_a abuse_v the_o whole_a church_n still_v she_o a_o synagogue_n of_o satan_n and_o a_o cage_n of_o unclean_a and_o hateful_a spirit_n with_o many_o heap_n of_o slander_n and_o falsity_n etc._n etc._n to_o the_o dishonour_n of_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o reproach_n of_o his_o way_n and_o people_n and_o to_o the_o defame_n of_o many_o of_o those_o who_o god_n through_o rich_a grace_n have_v preserve_v faithful_a in_o this_o apostatise_a day_n we_o can_v not_o therefore_o without_o be_v guilty_a of_o or_o accessary_a to_o his_o sin_n and_o evil_n let_v his_o folly_n go_v unreproved_a but_o have_v set_v forth_o these_o few_o plain_a word_n of_o truth_n and_o soberness_n aim_v at_o his_o confutation_n the_o truth_n justification_n our_o own_o vindication_n and_o other_o information_n and_o satisfaction_n desire_v the_o christian_a reader_n to_o weigh_v well_o our_o coddition_n judge_v impartial_o of_o our_o wrong_n and_o help_v we_o affectionate_o by_o thy_o prayer_n and_o so_o we_o
