christ_n shall_z there_o fall_v out_o this_o that_o he_o like_o the_o direct_a &_o true_a beam_n of_o the_o sun_n in_o a_o moment_n dispel_v out_o of_o the_o world_n idolatry_n christ_n the_o true_a light_n of_o the_o word_n by_o the_o preach_n and_o miracle_n wrought_v by_o himself_o and_o his_o apostle_n dispel_v all_o darkness_n and_o idolatry_n those_o cloud_n of_o darkness_n and_o he_o rouse_v up_o mankind_n and_o the_o posterity_n of_o adam_n from_o those_o sin_n by_o a_o little_a and_o little_a by_o preach_v and_o miracle_n and_o after_o he_o his_o apostle_n and_o disciple_n and_o those_o who_o follow_v he_o exercise_v the_o same_o thing_n until_o that_o man_n have_v contemn_v idol_n and_o whole_o abandon_v they_o and_o do_v worship_v the_o true_a god_n and_o love_v the_o service_n of_o god_n sincere_o ah_o therefore_o very_o worthy_o do_v our_o prophet_n commend_v the_o gospel_n and_o call_v it_o a_o prophecy_n and_o straight_o way_n of_o god_n for_o in_o truth_n so_o it_o be_v shall_z when_o therefore_o our_o prophet_n mohammed_n come_v be_v there_o no_o idol_n at_o all_o in_o the_o world_n ah_o our_o prophet_n come_v after_o christ_n about_o 600_o year_n and_o therefore_o i_o think_v there_o be_v no_o idol_n no_o not_o in_o any_o place_n especial_o in_o such_o place_n where_o learned_a and_o discreet_a man_n dwell_v shall_z what_o good_a thing_n do_v our_o prophet_n add_v unto_o the_o gospel_n see_v that_o the_o doctrine_n of_o it_o be_v holy_a and_o perfect_a as_o he_o himself_o do_v affirm_v ah_o he_o add_v no_o other_o thing_n at_o all_o then_o that_o which_o he_o himself_o do_v testify_v of_o himself_o in_o his_o alkoran_n to_o wit_n that_o he_o himself_o also_o be_v a_o true_a prophet_n and_o that_o he_o have_v talk_v ofttimes_o with_o the_o angel_n gabriel_n and_o that_o upon_o barak_n he_o go_v up_o into_o the_o heaven_n item_n he_o say_v that_o god_n and_o his_o angel_n do_v pray_v for_o he_o last_o he_o say_v that_o no_o abraham_n &_o his_o apostle_n do_v follow_v his_o law_n &_o commandment_n shall_z here_o i_o adjure_v thou_o by_o the_o most_o high_a god_n that_o thou_o tell_v i_o how_o these_o man_n do_v follow_v these_o book_n be_v but_o one_o or_o not_o and_o whether_o all_o of_o they_o do_v agree_v in_o all_o language_n which_o be_v now_o find_v in_o the_o world_n or_o not_o shall_z there_o be_v no_o question_n of_o that_o for_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n combine_v together_o with_o one_o consent_n carry_v they_o and_o by_o preach_v spread_v they_o into_o every_o corner_n of_o the_o world_n ah_o but_o if_o at_o this_o time_n there_o shall_v be_v any_o language_n find_v wherein_o the_o text_n and_o scripture_n be_v different_a from_o that_o of_o other_o language_n what_o ought_v then_o to_o be_v do_v shall_z it_o must_v be_v confess_v that_o this_o do_v arise_v out_o of_o the_o ignorance_n of_o the_o scribe_n and_o that_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v correct_v and_o that_o text_n be_v make_v to_o agree_v with_o all_o other_o text_n agree_v between_o themselves_o especial_o with_o those_o text_n and_o most_o ancient_a book_n which_o be_v the_o first_o and_o best_a correct_v that_o be_v with_o those_o write_v in_o the_o language_n of_o abraham_n the_o syrian_n greek_n and_o latin_n ah_o thy_o opinion_n be_v good_a and_o very_a probable_a &_o for_o my_o part_n i_o embrace_v it_o and_o i_o do_v hear_v with_o great_a comfort_n that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o consent_n of_o book_n write_v in_o different_a language_n shall_z this_o be_v not_o the_o work_n of_o which_o i_o be_o very_o glad_a ah_o our_o prophet_n in_o his_o alkoran_n in_o the_o chapter_n of_o devil_n do_v say_v that_o the_o devil_n shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o his_o law_n and_o many_o of_o the_o devil_n shall_v be_v save_v by_o mean_n of_o his_o law_n now_o we_o do_v know_v that_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o frowardness_n and_o malice_n they_o be_v fall_v into_o all_o sin_n moreover_o also_o we_o know_v that_o god_n which_o be_v good_a be_v also_o the_o cause_n of_o all_o perfection_n the_o fountain_n and_o true_a cause_n of_o all_o perfection_n and_o of_o all_o good_a thing_n how_o then_o can_v any_o part_n of_o the_o devil_n agree_v with_o he_o see_v they_o be_v wicked_a and_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v righteous_a and_o good_a shall_z without_o doubt_n to_o the_o evil_a one_o there_o agreee_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o therefore_o no_o man_n can_v answer_v easy_o to_o this_o thy_o objection_n for_o the_o devil_n be_v wicked_a and_o perverse_a and_o so_o will_v be_v always_o item_n the_o difference_n between_o a_o sinful_a man_n and_o the_o devil_n be_v that_o a_o man_n may_v repent_v and_o return_v again_o unto_o god_n protection_n but_o commit_v against_o the_o lord_n then_o by_o good_a work_n he_o must_v satisfy_v the_o judgement_n of_o god_n and_o his_o justice_n three_o he_o must_v restore_v again_o unto_o his_o brother_n if_o he_o have_v take_v aught_o from_o he_o videlâ—_n â—_z from_o a_o musleman_n whether_o it_o be_v by_o stripe_n or_o by_o robbery_n or_o by_o rapine_n and_o in_o deed_n thy_o wash_n and_o cleansing_n and_o anointing_n do_v no_o whit_n at_o all_o profit_n he_o ah_o but_o in_o my_o opinion_n our_o prophet_n do_v not_o command_v in_o any_o place_n this_o restitution_n of_o other_o man_n good_n take_v away_o as_o thou_o affirm_v but_o that_o we_o must_v fast_o give_v alm_n pray_v cloth_n the_o poor_a and_o defend_v the_o prisoner_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o wicked_a shall_z in_o deed_n alm_n deed_n be_v good_a when_o they_o be_v give_v out_o of_o our_o own_o good_n &_o our_o own_o stock_n neither_o be_v that_o alm_n allowable_a which_o be_v give_v out_o of_o the_o good_n of_o another_o for_o god_n and_o justice_n have_v thus_o decree_v therefore_o how_o may_v we_o do_v according_a to_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o law_n which_o say_v that_o we_o must_v give_v of_o all_o whatsoever_o we_o do_v possess_v in_o good_n one_o five_o part_n for_o a_o alm_n to_o god_n almighty_a and_o to_o our_o prophet_n shall_z i_o say_v that_o god_n do_v not_o love_v any_o part_n of_o ill_o get_v good_n or_o those_o that_o be_v accurse_v therefore_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o we_o to_o take_v the_o good_n of_o another_o and_o he_o that_o shall_v do_v so_o hurt_v himself_o ah_o thou_o care_v not_o much_o whether_o thou_o speak_v against_o or_o for_o other_o for_o every_o one_o of_o the_o musslemans_n do_v allow_v riches_n and_o good_n get_v by_o rapine_n or_o any_o other_o way_n worse_o than_o this_o shall_z for_o this_o cause_n i_o do_v doubt_n great_o how_o they_o may_v be_v save_v from_o hell_n fire_n ah_o tell_v i_o for_o god_n sake_n see_v thou_o have_v speak_v of_o the_o save_n from_o hell_n fire_n because_o our_o prophet_n say_v in_o the_o chapter_n amran_n that_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a to_o be_v save_v but_o by_o his_o law_n and_o in_o the_o chapter_n albacara_n he_o say_v that_o the_o jew_n and_o the_o christian_n shall_v be_v save_v how_o these_o do_v agree_v shall_z there_o be_v in_o truth_n a_o manifest_a opposition_n and_o repugnancy_n between_o these_o two_o speech_n ah_o see_v that_o the_o christian_n and_o jew_n shall_v be_v save_v wherefore_o do_v our_o prophet_n command_v those_o that_o do_v not_o believe_v his_o law_n shall_v be_v slay_v or_o that_o they_o shall_v pay_v tribute_n and_o poll-money_n shall_z this_o also_o be_v contrary_a to_o his_o own_o say_n for_o in_o the_o chapter_n albacara_n he_o write_v that_o in_o the_o law_n of_o god_n there_o be_v no_o oppression_n ah_o and_o out_o of_o these_o say_n in_o which_o there_o be_v such_o contradiction_n there_o can_v no_o answer_n be_v make_v to_o my_o demand_n shall_z where_o be_v there_o not_o some_o contradiction_n as_o in_o that_o assora_n where_o he_o write_v that_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n do_v say_v to_o he_o that_o they_o be_v mohammeds_n follower_n he_o write_v also_o that_o god_n say_v to_o mohan_n that_o he_o be_v the_o first_o that_o write_v the_o alkoran_n now_o if_o this_o be_v true_a then_o that_o can_v which_o follow_v videlicet_fw-la that_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n do_v not_o follow_v mohammed_n for_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n be_v before_o mohammed_n 600_o year_n therefore_o this_o allegation_n be_v false_a for_o they_o do_v not_o follow_v the_o alkoran_n because_o it_o be_v not_o write_v at_o that_o time_n ah_o and_o i_o also_o do_v affirm_v that_o in_o this_o there_o be_v not_o only_o a_o contradiction_n but_o a_o mere_a falsehood_n oppose_v to_o the_o truth_n itself_o and_o all_o history_n shall_z therefore_o it_o be_v very_o good_a and_o expedient_a that_o the_o mussleman_n shall_v read_v all_o old_a writer_n to_o wit_n the_o gospel_n the_o law_n &_o the_o psalm_n for_o the_o manifestation_n of_o the_o truth_n for_o our_o proph._n do_v commend_v as_o be_v say_v before_o the_o book_n of_o moses_n which_o be_v most_o methodical_o write_v from_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o gospel_n which_o be_v name_v of_o our_o pro._n the_o ray_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o prophecy_n of_o almighty_a god_n see_v that_o our_o prophet_n do_v commend_v these_o book_n therefore_o he_o show_v that_o he_o also_o do_v read_v these_o book_n ah_o i_o do_v not_o confess_v so_o much_o for_o he_o do_v not_o know_v any_o other_o but_o the_o arabic_a tongue_n only_o yet_o by_o a_o interpreter_n he_o hear_v that_o which_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o jew_n and_o christian_n ah_o if_o they_o be_v not_o learned_a and_o upright_a man_n it_o be_v to_o be_v doubt_v whether_o they_o have_v in_o those_o thing_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o ignorance_n speak_v the_o truth_n or_o have_v not_o alter_v the_o word_n and_o so_o now_o they_o be_v not_o as_o they_o be_v and_o therefore_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o perverseness_n they_o speak_v contradiction_n shall_z it_o may_v be_v that_o both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o be_v false_a but_o by_o reason_n of_o our_o faith_n we_o must_v be_v ground_v in_o the_o truth_n and_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o read_n of_o those_o book_n for_o this_o may_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o expound_v our_o law_n and_o we_o may_v learn_v by_o these_o book_n how_o to_o answer_v our_o doubt_n of_o the_o which_o we_o as_o yet_o be_v ignorant_a ah_o now_o this_o on_o our_o part_n be_v a_o foul_a shame_n for_o we_o be_v forbid_v to_o take_v delight_n in_o any_o thing_n wherein_o there_o be_v find_v any_o fable_n do_v become_v also_o ignorant_a of_o those_o thing_n which_o may_v turn_v to_o the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n which_o we_o ought_v especial_o to_o know_v shall_z and_o therefore_o every_o learned_a man_n ought_v to_o give_v his_o mind_n with_o all_o earnestness_n to_o study_v and_o to_o forsake_v vulgar_a opinion_n for_o to_o morrow_n or_o straight_o after_o to_o morrow_n we_o shall_v die_v manifest_v the_o death_n of_o solomon_n to_o the_o devil_n shall_z in_o it_o also_o as_o i_o think_v be_v record_v many_o thing_n like_o that_o of_o the_o ant_n for_o in_o it_o be_v record_v that_o to_o be_v true_a neither_o do_v i_o know_v for_o what_o reason_n our_o prophet_n have_v write_v it_o for_o this_o parable_n be_v no_o way_n profitable_a to_o us._n ah_o that_o book_n where_o the_o law_n and_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n be_v write_v aught_o to_o record_v nothing_o but_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v high_a and_o divine_a because_o of_o the_o prerogative_n and_o excellency_n of_o our_o understanding_n &_o apprehension_n in_o the_o speculation_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o understand_v of_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n and_o by_o reason_n of_o these_o frivolous_a thing_n and_o parable_n which_o be_v read_v in_o this_o azoara_n and_o in_o that_o other_o azoara_n in_o very_a deed_n they_o do_v not_o beseem_v neither_o be_v they_o worthy_a of_o that_o book_n see_v that_o none_o of_o they_o be_v any_o way_n profitable_a unto_o us._n shall_z i_o tell_v thou_o that_o our_o prophet_n do_v prefer_v the_o understanding_n of_o his_o book_n and_o his_o law_n unto_o the_o holy_a book_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n and_o of_o the_o glorious_a gospel_n as_o the_o true_a commentary_n for_o he_o also_o have_v teach_v that_o the_o book_n of_o moses_n and_o the_o book_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o gospel_n do_v contain_v the_o high_a and_o profitable_a sense_n convenient_a for_o all_o now_o i_o do_v not_o know_v why_o we_o do_v not_o translate_v they_o see_v that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a danger_n to_o our_o soul_n ah_o i_o also_o do_v acknowledge_v that_o the_o read_n of_o these_o book_n be_v profitable_a and_o convenient_a see_v that_o our_o prophet_n do_v much_o commend_v they_o but_o yet_o i_o be_o not_o content_a neither_o do_v it_o seem_v to_o i_o a_o equal_a thing_n that_o we_o musslemans_fw-mi with_o all_o our_o iniquity_n which_o do_v spring_v out_o of_o we_o shall_v believe_v that_o we_o shall_v enter_v into_o paradise_n only_o for_o the_o confession_n of_o the_o unity_n of_o god_n and_o that_o his_o prophet_n mohammed_n be_v of_o god_n for_o the_o confession_n of_o the_o unity_n be_v not_o deny_v of_o the_o jew_n no_o nor_o of_o the_o christian_n therefore_o this_o confession_n be_v without_o any_o particular_a reward_n to_o us._n the_o confession_n also_o that_o mohammed_n be_v his_o prophet_n and_o his_o friend_n what_o profit_n have_v we_o by_o this_o confession_n shall_z for_o the_o service_n of_o god_n &_o his_o praise_n as_o most_o perfect_a and_o without_o sin_n that_o therefore_o after_o the_o disobedience_n of_o the_o man_n and_o the_o fault_n which_o he_o have_v commit_v of_o necessity_n every_o man_n must_v work_v iniquity_n until_o he_o be_v restore_v unto_o his_o former_a justice_n and_o antecedent_n perfection_n the_o obtain_n of_o which_o be_v impossible_a but_o by_o the_o help_n of_o god_n and_o knowledge_n of_o his_o gloririous_a law_n and_o by_o the_o do_n of_o good_a work_n according_a to_o the_o determination_n of_o his_o glorious_a will_n and_o pleasure_n ah_o this_o deep_a speculation_n be_v not_o like_o that_o miracle_n of_o the_o ant._n and_o i_o do_v believe_v that_o our_o prophet_n do_v not_o write_v that_o chapter_n wherein_o be_v record_v so_o lofty_a matter_n as_o those_o precedent_a thing_n and_o the_o gospel_n be_v and_o because_o he_o say_v those_o book_n be_v give_v by_o god_n he_o signify_v that_o those_o book_n do_v contain_v all_o perfection_n and_o goodness_n therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o confess_v that_o those_o book_n appertain_v unto_o the_o salvation_n of_o all_o the_o world_n &_o of_o every_o several_a person_n in_o the_o same_o shall_z yea_o &_o i_o do_v confess_v that_o from_o all_o eternity_n those_o book_n be_v holy_a and_o therefore_o i_o do_v know_v that_o all_o the_o musslemans_fw-mi do_v offend_v and_o i_o do_v pity_n the_o case_n in_o which_o i_o do_v see_v they_o be_v because_o i_o do_v see_v that_o we_o may_v find_v those_o book_n and_o read_v they_o and_o yet_o we_o do_v not_o as_o it_o be_v say_v we_o do_v leave_v the_o white_a bread_n &_o that_o which_o be_v most_o please_a &_o we_o do_v eat_v brown_a bread_n which_o be_v no_o way_n so_o please_v in_o taste_n nor_o so_o good_a for_o the_o body_n and_o this_o difference_n there_o be_v between_o word_n of_o verity_n and_o truth_n and_o falsehood_n for_o this_o be_v pleasant_a unto_o the_o understanding_n and_o profitable_a to_o the_o soul_n and_o that_o be_v no_o way_n please_v but_o hurtful_a for_o it_o be_v a_o vain_a thing_n and_o it_o have_v no_o commodity_n in_o it_o because_o it_o be_v false_a but_o let_v this_o suffice_v for_o i_o see_v the_o the_o rest_n do_v take_v down_o their_o tent_n i_o pray_v god_n that_o this_o consideration_n may_v enter_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o all_o and_o every_o mussleman_n that_o every_o one_o of_o we_o may_v consider_v and_o direct_v his_o mind_n unto_o such_o matter_n as_o do_v appertain_v unto_o his_o soul_n as_o unto_o the_o true_a end_n i_o mean_v the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n for_o all_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n be_v frail_a and_o unconstant_a now_o those_o thing_n which_o according_a to_o their_o essence_n be_v transitory_a do_v not_o deserve_v but_o to_o be_v pass_v over_o and_o not_o to_o be_v have_v in_o any_o regard_n among_o man_n ah_o the_o bless_a god_n give_v the_o light_n of_o his_o aid_n to_o every_o one_o that_o we_o may_v cease_v from_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n that_o we_o may_v follow_v the_o truth_n and_o his_o holy_a commandment_n and_o especial_o for_o this_o our_o conference_n i_o will_v abide_v with_o this_o love_n in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n for_o this_o
