by_o virtue_n of_o his_o sovereign_n and_o regal_a law_n may_v powerful_o enough_o reform_v heresy_n without_o any_o such_o ceremonial_a form_n papal_a observance_n or_o superstitious_a solemnity_n as_o by_o the_o order_n of_o the_o canon_n law_n pretend_v to_o be_v still_o in_o force_n have_v be_v accustom_v and_o as_o these_o offence_n before_o mention_v be_v punishable_a partly_o by_o temporal_a and_o partly_o by_o ecclesiastical_a authority_n so_o drunkenness_n absence_n from_o divine_a service_n and_o prayer_n fight_v quarrel_a and_o brawl_v in_o church_n and_o churchyard_n defamatorie_n word_n and_o libel_n violent_a lay_v on_o oâ—_n hand_n upon_o a_o clerk_n etc._n etc._n may_v not_o only_o be_v handle_v and_o punish_v in_o a_o court_n ecclesiastical_a but_o they_o may_v also_o be_v handle_v and_o punish_v by_o the_o king_n in_o his_o temporal_a court_n by_o all_o which_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o the_o clergy_n have_v have_v the_o correction_n of_o these_o crime_n rather_o by_o a_o king_n the_o cognizance_n of_o all_o crime_n as_o well_o as_o of_o some_o crime_n â—â—_o the_o law_n of_o god_n belong_v to_o the_o king_n custom_n and_o by_o sufferance_n of_o prince_n than_o for_o that_o they_o be_v mere_a spiritual_a or_o that_o they_o have_v authority_n by_o the_o immediate_a law_n of_o god_n and_o if_o all_o these_o as_o well_o as_o some_o of_o these_o crime_n by_o sufferance_n of_o prince_n and_o by_o a_o custom_n may_v be_v handle_v and_o punish_v spiritual_o then_o also_o if_o it_o please_v the_o king_n may_v all_o these_o as_o well_o as_o some_o of_o these_o crime_n without_o a_o custom_n be_v handle_v and_o punish_v temporal_o for_o by_o custom_n and_o sufferance_n only_o some_o of_o these_o crime_n be_v exempt_v from_o the_o cognizance_n of_o the_o king_n and_o therefore_o by_o the_o immediate_a law_n of_o god_n the_o cognizance_n as_o well_o of_o all_o as_o of_o some_o oâ—_n these_o crime_n proper_o appertain_v unto_o the_o king_n and_o then_o the_o judgement_n of_o those_o man_n who_o defend_v judgement_n of_o adultery_n slander_n etc._n etc._n to_o be_v more_o temporal_a and_o by_o the_o temporal_a magistrate_n only_o to_o be_v deal_v in_o seem_v every_o way_n to_o be_v a_o sincere_a and_o sound_a judgement_n howbeit_o they_o do_v not_o hereby_o intend_v that_o the_o party_n offend_v in_o any_o of_o these_o thing_n and_o by_o the_o king_n law_n punishable_a shall_v therefore_o whole_o be_v exempt_v and_o free_v
