god_n may_v just_o punish_v his_o people_n for_o neglect_v this_o good_a and_o wholesome_a law_n and_o for_o their_o authority_n in_o this_o behalf_n church_n the_o ordinary_n may_v punish_v offender_n by_o the_o censure_n of_o the_o church_n be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o singular_a the_o say_a archbishop_n bishop_n and_o all_o other_o their_o officer_n exercise_v ecclesiastical_a jurisdiction_n as_o well_o in_o place_n exempt_a as_o not_o exempt_a within_o their_o diocese_n shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n by_o this_o act_n to_o reform_v correct_v and_o punish_v by_o censure_n of_o the_o church_n all_o and_o singular_a person_n which_o shall_v offend_v within_o any_o their_o jurisdiction_n or_o diocese_n after_o the_o say_a feast_n of_o the_o nativity_n of_o st._n john_n baptist_n next_o come_v against_o this_o act_n and_o statute_n any_o other_o law_n statute_n privilege_n liberty_n or_o provision_n heretofore_o make_v have_v or_o suffer_v to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o it_o be_v ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a offence_n which_o justice_n may_v punish_v their_o offence_n that_o all_o and_o every_o justice_n of_o oyer_n and_o determiner_n or_o justice_n of_o assize_n shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n in_o every_o of_o their_o open_a and_o general_a session_n to_o inquire_v hear_v and_o determine_v all_o and_o all_o manner_n offence_n that_o shall_v be_v commit_v or_o do_v contrary_a to_o any_o article_n contain_v in_o this_o present_a act_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o the_o commission_n to_o they_o direct_v and_o to_o make_v process_n for_o the_o execution_n of_o the_o same_o as_o they_o may_v do_v against_o any_o person_n be_v indict_v before_o they_o of_o trespass_n or_o lawful_o convict_v thereof_o offender_n a_o bishop_n may_v join_v with_o the_o justice_n to_o inquire_v of_o offender_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o every_o archbishop_n and_o bishop_n shall_v or_o may_v at_o all_o time_n and_o time_n at_o his_o liberty_n and_o pleasure_n join_v and_o associate_v himself_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n to_o the_o say_a justice_n of_o oyer_n and_o determiner_n or_o to_o the_o say_a justice_n of_o assize_n at_o every_o of_o the_o say_v open_a and_o general_a session_n to_o be_v hold_v in_o any_o place_n within_o his_o diocese_n for_o and_o to_o the_o enquiry_n hear_v and_o determine_v of_o the_o offence_n aforesaid_a get_v at_o who_o charge_n the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n shall_v be_v get_v provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o book_n concern_v the_o say_a service_n shall_v at_o the_o cost_v and_o charge_n of_o the_o parishioner_n of_o every_o parish_n and_o cathedral_n church_n be_v attain_v and_o get_v before_o the_o say_a feast_n of_o the_o nativity_n of_o st._n john_n baptist_n next_o follow_v and_o that_o all_o such_o parish_n and_o cathedral_n church_n or_o other_o place_n where_o the_o say_v book_n shall_v be_v attain_v and_o get_v before_o the_o say_a feast_n of_o the_o nativity_n of_o saint_n john_n baptist_n shall_v within_o three_o week_n next_o after_o the_o say_v book_n so_o attain_v and_o get_v use_v the_o say_a service_n and_o put_v the_o same_o in_o vre_n according_a to_o this_o act._n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v be_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o impeach_v impeach_v within_o what_o time_n offender_n shall_v be_v impeach_v or_o otherwise_o molest_v of_o or_o for_o any_o of_o the_o offence_n abovementioned_a hereafter_o to_o be_v commit_v or_o do_v contrary_a to_o this_o act_n unless_o he_o or_o they_o so_o offend_v be_v thereof_o indict_v at_o the_o next_o general_n session_n to_o be_v hold_v before_o any_o such_o justice_n of_o oyer_n and_o determiner_n or_o justice_n of_o assize_n next_o after_o any_o offence_n commit_v or_o do_v contrary_a to_o the_o tenor_n of_o this_o act_n peer_n trial_n of_o peer_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o singular_a lord_n of_o the_o parliament_n for_o the_o three_o offence_n above_o mention_v shall_v be_v try_v by_o their_o peer_n offender_n chief_z officer_n of_o city_n and_o borough_n shall_v inquire_v of_o offender_n provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o major_a of_o london_n and_o all_o the_o major_n bailiff_n and_o other_o head_n officer_n of_o all_o and_o singular_a city_n borough_n and_o town_n corporate_a within_o this_o realm_n wales_n and_o the_o march_n of_o the_o same_o to_o the_o which_o justice_n of_o assize_n do_v not_o common_o repair_v shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n to_o inquire_v hear_v and_o determine_v the_o offence_n abovefay_v and_o every_o of_o they_o yearly_a within_o fifteen_o day_n after_o easter_n and_o st._n michael_n the_o archangel_n in_o like_a manner_n and_o form_n as_o justice_n of_o assize_n and_o oyer_n and_o determiner_n may_v do_v case_n the_o ordinary_n jurisdiction_n in_o their_o case_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o singular_a archbishop_n and_o bishop_n and_o every_o of_o their_o chancellor_n commissary_n archdeacon_n and_o other_o ordinary_n have_v any_o peculiar_a ecclesiastical_a jurisdiction_n shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n as_o well_o to_o inquire_v in_o their_o visitation_n and_o elsewhere_o within_o their_o jurisdiction_n at_o any_o other_o time_n and_o place_n to_o take_v accusation_n and_o information_n of_o all_o and_o every_o the_o thing_n above_o mention_v do_v commit_v or_o perpetrate_v within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o jurisdiction_n and_o authority_n and_o to_o punish_v the_o same_o by_o admonition_n excommunication_n sequestration_n or_o deprivation_n and_o other_o censure_n and_o process_n in_o like_a form_n as_o heretofore_o have_v be_v use_v in_o like_a case_n by_o the_o queen_n ecclesiastical_a law_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v offence_n none_o shall_v be_v punish_v above_o once_o for_o one_o offence_n that_o whatsoever_o person_n offend_v in_o the_o premise_n shall_v for_o their_o offence_n first_o receive_v a_o punishment_n of_o the_o ordinary_a have_v a_o testimonial_a thereof_o under_o the_o say_a ordinary_n seal_v shall_v not_o for_o the_o same_o offence_n eftsoons_o be_v convict_v before_o the_o justice_n and_o likewise_o receive_v for_o the_o say_v first_o offence_n punishment_n by_o the_o justice_n shall_v not_o for_o the_o same_o offence_n eftsoon_o receive_v punishment_n of_o the_o ordinary_a any_o thing_n contain_v in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v minister_n ornaman_n of_o the_o church_n and_o minister_n that_o such_o ornament_n of_o the_o church_n and_o of_o the_o minister_n thereof_o shall_v be_v retain_v and_o be_v in_o use_n as_o be_v in_o this_o church_n of_o england_n by_o authority_n of_o parliament_n in_o the_o second_o year_n of_o the_o reign_n of_o king_n edward_n the_o sixth_o until_o other_o order_n shall_v be_v therein_o take_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n with_o the_o advice_n of_o her_o commissioner_n appoint_v and_o authorize_v under_o though_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n for_o cause_n ecclesiastical_a or_o of_o the_o metropolitan_a of_o
