overseer_n any_o negro_n or_o slave_n not_o proper_o belong_v to_o he_o or_o they_o to_o remain_v or_o be_v upon_o his_o or_o their_o plantation_n above_o the_o space_n of_o four_o hour_n at_o any_o one_o time_n contrary_a to_o the_o intent_n of_o the_o before_o recite_v act_n upon_o pain_n to_o forfeit_v be_v thereof_o lawful_o convict_v before_o some_o one_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n steer_v bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n be_v very_o necessary_a and_o profitable_a for_o the_o use_n and_o support_v of_o the_o country_n and_o will_v be_v find_v profitable_a for_o the_o set_v to_o work_v many_o man_n woman_n and_o child_n in_o this_o country_n which_o lie_v idle_a for_o want_v of_o employment_n some_o naked_a for_o want_n of_o such_o necessary_n as_o might_n be_v wrought_v out_o of_o the_o same_o which_o they_o be_v keep_v from_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o great_a quantity_n of_o they_o yearly_o export_v out_o of_o the_o country_n to_o the_o great_a impoverishment_n of_o the_o inhabitant_n thereof_o for_o the_o better_a prevent_v and_o avoid_v such_o loss_n and_o inconvenience_n that_o have_v happen_v and_o do_v and_o may_v happen_v to_o this_o dominion_n by_o and_o through_o the_o carry_n and_o convey_v away_o the_o exportation_n and_o transportation_n of_o iron_n wool_n woolfs-skin_n or_o hide_v tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n steer_v bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n out_o of_o and_o from_o this_o country_n and_o for_o the_o better_a set_n on_o work_n the_o poor_a and_o weak_a sort_n of_o people_n of_o this_o country_n and_o to_o the_o intent_n that_o the_o full_a and_o best_a use_n and_o benefit_n of_o such_o principal_a native_a commodity_n may_v come_v and_o redound_v and_o be_v unto_o and_o among_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o same_o the_o house_n of_o burgess_n now_o assemble_v do_v pray_v that_o it_o may_v be_v enact_v and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o governor_n council_n and_o burgess_n of_o this_o general_a assembly_n and_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o from_o and_o after_o the_o first_o day_n of_o january_n next_o shall_v direct_o or_o indirect_o export_n transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v export_v transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v out_o of_o or_o from_o the_o dominion_n or_o country_n of_o virginia_n into_o any_o part_n or_o place_n out_o of_o the_o same_o any_o iron_n wool_n wolfels_n skin_n or_o hide_v or_o any_o manner_n of_o leather_n tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n steer_v bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n nor_o shall_v direct_o nor_o indirect_o load_v or_o lay_v on_o board_n or_o cause_n to_o be_v load_v or_o lay_v on_o board_n in_o any_o ship_n sloop_n boat_n or_o other_o vessel_n in_o any_o place_n or_o port_n within_o this_o dominion_n any_o such_o iron_n wool_n woolfels_n skin_n or_o hide_v tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n steer_v bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n except_o only_o such_o hide_n and_o iron_n as_o shall_v appear_v by_o the_o oath_n of_o the_o owner_n to_o be_v direct_o transport_v to_o some_o tanhouse_n or_o smith_n in_o this_o country_n to_o be_v there_o wrought_v up_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o every_o the_o offender_n and_o offender_n offence_n and_o offence_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v subject_a and_o liable_a to_o the_o respective_a pain_n penalty_n exportation_n forfeiture_n of_o iron_n wool_n hides_n etc._n etc._n tan_v or_o vntan_v put_v on_o board_n for_o exportation_n and_o forfeiture_n hereafter_o follow_v that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o say_a iron_n wool_n woolfels_n skin_n or_o hide_v or_o any_o manner_n of_o leather_n tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n steer_v bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n so_o put_v on_o board_n to_o be_v export_v transport_v carry_v convey_v or_o load_v contrary_a to_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v forfeit_v and_o that_o every_o offender_n and_o offender_n therein_o shall_v forfeit_v forty_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n for_o every_o pound_n of_o wool_n and_o woolfels_n and_o one_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n for_o every_o skin_n or_o hide_n or_o any_o manner_n of_o leather_n tan_v or_o untan_v of_o any_o deer_n ox_n bull_n cow_n or_o calf_n and_o ten_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n for_o every_o pound_n of_o iron_n and_o also_o the_o owner_n or_o owner_n of_o such_o ship_n or_o vessel_n know_v such_o offence_n shall_v forfeit_v all_o their_o interest_n in_o the_o say_a
