sum_v up_o in_o this_o to_o wit_v the_o divide_v these_o two_o great_a gospel_n mystery_n and_o set_v the_o one_o in_o opposite_a term_n against_o the_o other_o contrary_a to_o the_o tendency_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture●_n and_o what_o these_o snare_n be_v thou_o more_o particular_o express_v pag._n 5._o but_o there_o be_v some_o upon_o the_o one_o hand_n so_o zealous_a for_o christ_n thou_o say_v and_o what_o he_o do_v for_o u●●n_v his_o crucify_a body_n without_o we_o that_o they_o neglect_v in_o themselves_o and_o ●ppose_v in_o other_o the_o mystery_n of_o christ_n within_o as_o a_o matter_n of_o no_o concernment_n at_o all_o to_o they_o etc._n etc._n and_o this_o thou_o reckon_v the_o first_o snare_n and_o indeed_o a_o snare_n i●_n be_v and_o that_o very_o dangerous_a and_o dreadful_a but_o for_o all_o thy_o work_n to_o discover_v this_o snare_n to_o other_o thou_o be_v find_v entangle_v in_o it_o thy_o sel●_n and_o intangle_a other_o with_o thou_o as_o much_o as_o thou_o can_v ●s_a i_o may_v afterward_o make_v appear_v the_o second_o snare_n thou_o mention_n be_v that_o some_o on_o the_o other_o hand_n pretend_v so_o much_o zeal_n for_o this_o mystery_n christ_n within_o the_o operation_n a●d_v act_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o that_o they_o deny_v the_o mystery_n of_o god_n in_o the_o flesh_n of_o christ_n as_o a_o matter_n of_o any_o necessity_n to_o they_o as_o to_o redemption_n reconciliation_n and_o justification_n &c_n &c_n which_o charge_v thou_o plain_o direct_v against_o we_o ca●led_v in_o derision_n quaker_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o the_o import_n of_o thy_o discourse_n though_o th●u_n do_v not_o expre●ly_o name_v we_o to_o which_o i_o say_v it_o be_v a_o fa●se_a charge_n nor_o be_v we_o guilty_a of_o it_o as_o also_o thou_o false●y_v allege_n tha●_n we_o reckon_v to_o accomplish_v this_o in_o our_o own_o body_n each_o for_o himself_o throu●h_v obedience_n to_o the_o law_n or_o light_n in_o his_o conscience_n which_o light_n they_o call_v christ_n redeemer_n a●d_v only_a saviour_n without_o respect_n to_o the_o ●rue_a christ_n and_o ou●_n only_a saviour_n jesus_n christ_n of_o nazareth_n i_o say_v this_o be_v false_a for_o ●hough_o we_o say_v reconciliation_n and_o justification_n and_o redemption_n be_v wrought_v in_o we_o by_o christ_n yet_o not_o without_o respect_n to_o christ_n even_o as_o outward_o manifest_a bear_v and_o crucify_v &c._n &c._n for_o our_o justification_n &c_n &c_n have_v a_o true_a and_o real_a and_o certain_a respect_n to_o christ_n both_o as_o inward_o manife_v in_o we_o and_o also_o as_o manifest_v in_o that_o body_n of_o flesh_n which_o be_v crucify_v in_o 〈◊〉_d &c_n &c_n for_o we_o do_v believe_v that_o he_o take_v upon_o he_o the_o form_n of_o a_o servant_n eu●●_n in_o the_o outward_a and_o die_v even_o in_o the_o outward_a and_o offer_v up_o even_o his_o very_a flesh_n through_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n in_o the_o outward_a as_o a_o sacrifice_n of_o a_o sweet_a smell_n and_o atonement_n unto_o god_n in_o order_n to_o our_o justification_n and_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n so_o as_o thereby_o he_o prepare_v or_o make_v ready_a the_o way_n for_o our_o justification_n though_o our_o justification_n be_v not_o s●●ply_v and_o absolute_o thereby_o wrought_v as_o if_o no_o more_o be_v to_o be_v do_v by_o he_o and_o his_o spirit_n in_o we_o or_o as_o if_o his_o outward_a body_n flesh_n blood_n and_o life_n be_v the_o only_a sacrifi●●_n and_o propitiation_n exclude_v the_o inward_a and_o now_o if_o i_o shall_v stop_v here_o and_o proceed_v no_o far_o i_o give_v a_o sufficient_a testimony_n ●gainst_a thy_o f●lse_a charge_n upon_o we_o yet_o i_o must_v say_v somewhat_o f●rther_o for_o the_o clear_n this_o matter_n for_o whereas_o thou_o not_o only_o affirm_v that_o salvation_n and_o justification_n have_v a_o necessary_a respect_n to_o christ_n his_o take_n on_o he_o the_o form_n of_o a_o servant_n or_o man_n in_o the_o outward_a and_o ●umbling_v himself_o therein_o even_o to_o the_o outward_a death_n which_o we_o also_o grant_v god_n have_v so_o ordain_v it_o to_o be_v but_o also_o thou_o seem_v to_o affirm_v that_o the_o express_a knowledge_n and_o belief_n of_o his_o take_n on_o he_o the_o form_n of_o man_n and_o his_o ob●d●en●●_n and_o suffering_n therein_o be_v of_o absolute_a necessity_n unto_o all_o and_o every_o one_o for_o salvation_n so_o as_o none_o can_v be_v save_v without_o that_o express_a knowledge_n though_o it_o be_v never_o reveal_v to_o they_o this_o i_o deny_v how_o can_v thou_o prove_v this_o by_o scripture_n for_o may_v not_o the_o benefit_n of_o christ_n his_o take_n on_o he_o the_o form_n of_o a_o man_n redound_v unto_o many_o who_o do_v not_o express_o know_v it_o they_o have_v a_o true_a light_n within_o they_o even_o as_o a_o disease_a person_n may_v receive_v benefit_n of_o a_o cure_n apply_v to_o he_o though_o he_o have_v not_o a_o express_a knowledge_n of_o all_o the_o name_n and_o way_n ●ow_o from_o first_o to_o last_o it_o have_v be_v prepare_v and_o even_o as_o many_o have_v suffer_v hurt_v through_o the_o disobedience_n of_o the_o first_o man_n to_o wit_n adam_n who_o have_v not_o know_v express_o that_o ever_o such_o a_o man_n be_v or_o the_o manner_n of_o his_o disobedience_n so_o why_o may_v not_o even_o many_o receive_v benefit_n through_o the_o obedience_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o outward_a who_o have_v not_o know_v express_o his_o outward_a come_n and_o suffering_n otherwise_o adam_n disobedience_n be_v more_o effectual_a for_o man_n destruction_n than_o the_o obedience_n of_o christ_n be_v for_o his_o salvation_n as_o for_o what_o thou_o write_v against_o those_o who_o pretend_v to_o the_o impute_a righteousness_n of_o christ_n etc._n etc._n but_o under_o all_o this_o retain_v and_o indeed_o entertain_v the_o serpent_n nature_n in_o their_o soul_n etc._n etc._n as_o in_o page_n 6_o 7_o 8_o 9_o 10_o 11_o it_o touch_v not_o we_o for_o we_o have_v no_o such_o principle_n not_o belief_n and_o thou_o have_v need_v to_o examine_v thy_o own_o heart_n lea●t_v thou_o be_v find_v in_o this_o snare_n thyself_o do_v thou_o
