surety_n in_o any_o more_o proper_a sense_n than_o our_o sin_n be_v proper_a debt_n or_o god_n a_o proper_a creditor_n which_o expression_n be_v not_o proper_a but_o metaphorical_a and_o withal_o i_o will_v say_v that_o although_o i_o shall_v deny_v that_o christ_n be_v in_o any_o place_n of_o scripture_n say_v to_o be_v our_o surety_n in_o a_o proper_a sense_n yet_o it_o will_v not_o from_o thence_o follow_v that_o i_o do_v deny_v the_o whole_a gospel_n or_o any_o the_o least_o scruple_n of_o the_o gospel_n i_o shall_v now_o return_v to_o the_o word_n of_o dr._n o._n forecited_a he_o suffer_v penal_o in_o what_o pertain_v to_o the_o peculiar_a law_n of_o the_o mediator_n be_v in_o our_o stead_n and_o this_o he_o affirm_v for_o this_o reason_n viz._n because_o otherwise_o he_o can_v not_o have_v righteous_o suffer_v in_o any_o kind_n to_o which_o i_o reply_v 1._o to_o the_o reason_n of_o his_o affirmation_n and_o that_o by_o deny_v the_o force_n of_o it_o and_o by_o we_o have_v suffer_v in_o and_o by_o he_o what_o he_o suffer_v which_o be_v the_o doctor_n be_v mean_v of_o the_o word_n instead_o nevertheless_o he_o may_v righteous_o suffer_v and_o he_o do_v righteous_o suffer_v in_o that_o kind_n and_o in_o many_o other_o kind_n beside_o death_n itself_o for_o he_o do_v no_o less_o spontaneous_o than_o at_o the_o will_n of_o his_o father_n take_v upon_o say_n volenti_fw-la non_fw-la fit_a injuria_fw-la 2._o as_o to_o what_o be_v both_o affirm_v and_o deny_v by_o the_o doctor_n i_o reply_v 1._o what_o he_o deny_v simple_o i_o shall_v simple_o affirm_v that_o christ_n death_n be_v in_o our_o stead_n yea_o in_o all_o manner_n of_o consideration_n of_o it_o it_o be_v in_o our_o stead_n 2._o what_o he_o affirm_v concern_v the_o death_n of_o christ_n in_o one_o respect_n or_o under_o one_o consideration_n of_o his_o death_n i_o shall_v deny_v under_o consideration_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o phrase_n instead_o as_o by_o he_o intend_v say_v christ_n do_v not_o either_o in_o
