Regine for the further proof of the age of the said Edward Chettle Robert Hardye of St. Mary Blandford in the County of Dors ' Yeoman aged fifty seven years or thereabouts sworn and examined deposeth and saith upon his Oath that the said Edward Chettle was born the first day of June being the Tuesday in the Whitson Week Anno Domini one thousand five hundred sixty three and in the fifth year of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth and this he remembreth well for that within a short time after he wrote his Age in a Book which he yet hath and was then his fathers man and yet is Robert Allere of St. Mary Blandford aforesaid Carpenter aged fifty years or thereabouts Sworn and Examined saith upon his Oath that the said Edward Chettle was born at St. Mary Blandford afoaesaid the first day of June being then the Tuesday in Whitson Week in the fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth and this he remembreth for he was then servant in his Fathers House also he sheweth forth a little Book which he deposeth was delivered unto him for the Church Book there by Robert Dey Clerk now Minister there affirming it to be the true Church Book of the same Parish which is intituled In the year of our Lord God one thousand five hundred sixty three and in the fifth year of Queen Elizabeth by the Grace of God of England France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith c.
